The entire shop was very professional! Anthea told me every product she put in my hair as she went along. I trusted her whole heartily based on the knowledge she had. In addition she made my transitioning hair look like a just got a perm! And she did an amazing job on my hair cut. I will defiantly be back on a regular basis and refer all my family and friends to the shop!

ADU is amazing! How often can one find a salon online and hit the bullseye? Hardly ever!!! Both of my daughters are natural and their hair was just marvelous! They both have had smooth outs and wash and go. They were styled by Storm and Rania. Both stylists are awesome and super professional. They use high end products, namely Design Essentials, clearly not skimping on offering you the best hair care. The salon is super clean and cute. Not your typical trying-​to-​talk-​over-​the-​radio salon. They are efficient and manage their time well. Everyone is about their business and their clients. This salon is a winner and will certainly make you look like one

All dolled up is a tranquil place to get your hair done. My last visit was amazing I left the salon feeling good and looking good. The staff is awesome they are down to earth and full of life. This is by far the best salon in Florida. Ps Myriam Muhammad is the bomb.

I truly like my stylist. He took the time in showing me how to maintain my hair at night as well as showed me the different types of design essentials he used. Bailey is awesome !!! He will definitely be my go-​to guy when I’m in Florida.

Customer service is A1 but I paid $ 75 for a hairstyle by Rania. It was cute but the next day it unraveled. She used hairpins to place the jumbo braid In the middle of my head. She should have sewed it in and it might have lasted at least 3 days. Waste of money.

I must say, every time I step into All Dolled Up Salon I’m always amazed at the work they do to achieve a nice hairstyle!

I am new to south Florida and was in search of a salon and stylist. Needless to say, they were professional and prompt. Rania was knowledgeable about my hair and I was a very satisfied customer. They use design essentials, which are high quality products. I will be returning soon!

Extremely professional salon experience.
Finding a quality salon that knows how to treat black hair as well as offer trendy services and a relaxing experience is super difficult. I definitely found that in this salon. The salon is super professional. The staff attended to me as soon as I walked in, checked in with me while I waited and offered snacks and refreshments. Definitely not your mama’s black salon!
I got a full sew-​in and balayage highlights with Chantau. The color is banging, the photo does’t do it any justice.
Great staff, good technique and quality products! Will definitely go again.

Can I say professional!?? I work ALOT and don’t have much time for the ALL DAY SALON VISITS! Fortunately, I had an experience that I feel was definitely worth it. My stylist Bailey did an amazing job and made me feel like a human! Love it! Plus having the salon operate with the capability of online scheduling lets me feel like it’s ALL WORTH THE DRIVE! Keep it up!

My first experience was awesome. The salon was very professional and well put together. My stylist was Myriam. She was also very knowledgable about natural hair. She was able to inform me what products best works on my hair texture and what styles and treatment I should consider.
After getting my hair done and talking to her I true felt that I can embrace my natural hair.
The staff appear to work very well together with helping each other when needed. The two assistant were awesome. They were very tentative to all of the customers.

Was too upset to write a review after my disappointing visit. The hair stylist who did my hair was rude. The hair stylist who did my daughter’s hair was also rude, and did not listen. I said «no cutting” – but she cut. My daughter was too scared to say anything. And yes, there were bald stylists there – as well as way too much weave wearers for me to asses how they care their own hair. The detangling was extreme, done too many times – and damaging. I would not go there again, however, if one finds the need to go there – be very firm about the services that you would like to have done. Watch for attitudes. Inquire about the pricing up front. I was billed for services that I did not ask for. Pricing is not transparent. Objective review for consumer assistance only.

My experience here has been great! The salon is clean & the staff is extremely friendly and professional. I’m transitioning from relaxed to natural hair and the process has been positive so far. Stylist Tannisha colored my hair a few weeks ago & I was so happy with the results. I highly recommend this salon for all your hair care needs.

So on my continued quest to find businesses in Broward that gives the same quality service I appreciated in Dade, I ventured in to ADU. I was particularly looking for natural hair care, and after reading reviews on Unilocal and calling the salon for more info I felt comfortable choosing them. The décor was inviting and I was greeted with smiling faces. At the time there was one stylist; (Acinthia, can’t quite remember her name), a receptionist and a client in the chair getting braids. The stylist sat me down for a
consultation and I informed her that I just took my braids out after 2 months and I was in need of a wash and deep conditioner. My hair is in a transition state, meaning I haven’t had a relaxer in 4mths because I’m thinking about going all natural. The stylist informed me that since so much if my hair is still relaxed she would be able to blow dry straight.
Now the actual hair care part. For the wash she ‘lathered’ my hair twice, not the best wash (especially since it had been 2mths no washing, so we all no the 1^st lather doesn’t even count) and then applied conditioner and sat me under steamer for 15mins. I got a roller set, sat under dryer then blow dry. Blow dry was arduous she didn’t seem too comfortable doing it. End result by hair was way better than when I walked in and I loved how it was styled.
Pricing hahahahaha, I should have a asked about this in the consultation. $ 75 for a wash, treatment and ‘blow dry’. Laughable at best with lazy washing and lackluster blow dry. Apparently 40 $ for wash 35 $ for treatment. I paid my service fee plus tip because, well because.
Overall great professional customer service, inviting atmosphere, hair care eh, pricing laughable. For the prices I should be getting great hair care. Before and after pics to be posted.
Oh Miami I miss you!

I went in for a consultation recently. My hair is a bit damaged and is suffering from dryness. The stylist that I spoke with seemed very knowledgable of natural hair care. She offered plenty of info on the products that they use and discussed which ones would work best with my texture. The stylist suggested a treatment plan to get my hair back in healthy condition and even made some suggestions that could help my hair care regimen from home. She was very friendly and answered all my questions thoroughly. So far I have gotten a good impression. I’m still shopping around for a salon, but I’m leaning strongly in their direction.

Let me preface this review by saying, I hadn’t been to a salon in a while and this was my attempt to get back into going again on a regular basis.
I was scheduled for 9am on a Saturday morning with Bailey, a stylists there. At the last minute I also added my mother for services. The gentleman who answered the phone was very nice and extremely helpful and added her to the appointment with no problem.
I rushed my mother out the door so we could grab a breakfast sandwich and BE ON TIME. We accomplished this task seamlessly only to arrive and enter a 45 minute wait after our scheduled time. Time is extremely valuable. That is one of my biggest peeves with salons and a major deal breaker for me, however I still stayed despite my spa appointment that I had for the same day.
Bailey assessed my hair which needed a LOT of attention, as I had been wearing extensions for a long period of time without proper treatment. He sat next to my mother and I and conducted a consultation of our hair and told us what we needed. My hair had grown quite a bit, except for the front, which was broken off due to the way I was wearing it so I knew we’d have to do SOME cutting.
Bailey cut my hair without washing or relaxing it first (not my personal preference) but I believe he was trying to help me asses if I wanted to stay natural. We chatted while he cut. The conversation was very positive and not your typical salon drama. The music was wonderful and uplifting. The other stylists weren’t speaking loud either. It was very calming. Almost too calming as I wasn’t really paying attention to how much of my hair was being cut.
After the cut and relaxer was applied I received a very invigorating, relaxing shampoo from another guy there (his name slips me). It was amazing and also relaxing!
After sitting under the dryer, Bailey styled my hair. I clearly asked for it not to be spiked or standing because I’m not into that style. I showed him photos of a pixie type cut but that wasn’t what I received. My hair had stacked like curls and spikes. After receiving the style I had to dart out the door to make my spa appointment and then a party later. I told Bailey prior to the start of my services that I had this appointment but received little regard even though he was 45 mins late.
I left in an effort to make my spa appointment but could not receive services because it was too late. I got back in my car and cried because I did NOT like my hair at all AND missed my Spa appointment.
I went back to ADU and when I walked in I whispered to Bailey that I wasn’t pleased. A few of the stylists tried to encourage me and ensure me that the cut was cute and that it enhanced my face but I wasn’t trying to hear that.
By this time I was clearly behind in my day and as an Event Designer this could make or break my business.
I only wanted the spikes to be curled downward but Bailey insisted that it be washed and molded again. I told him I absolutely had no time for that, so he had a staff member brush in a wrap and place me back under the dryer for another 20 mins. I was holding back tears of frustration and disappointment.
I didn’t want to cry because THEY ARE VERY NICE PEOPLE. Very very very nice, however my hair was a disaster in my opinion. It was so short and I wasn’t used to it being that way.
As I went about the day people began to compliment the cut and said it was cute (My family mostly), but I was still sad. I cried for about 3 days then resolved that hair does grow back.
Overall I gave them a 2 and i wish it could be 2.5, because I enjoyed the atmosphere and talking with them. The salon was clean, chic, and contemporary. The location is also great and they have a Unilocal deal.(YES, I still paid) I didn’t like my hair and it’s been about a month and I still don’t like it. Coming from Atlanta, a mecca of innovative and creative stylists, my level of expectation can be somewhat high but what I thought would be easy for Bailey didn’t seem to be, so be as clear as possible.
Not sure if I’m going back… At least not for a haircut. I think they’ll be awesome for a long style and/​or a shampoo! :)

I’ve been to this salon a few times. It’s young, it’s relatively new, it’s hip/​trendy. The majority of the stylists at this location are young (under 30) and that is one of the reasons why I like this salon; I feel like it caters to my age range. They are also very professional in there IMO. But with all good things, there are bad.
The cons of this place is the PRICE. That’s the primary and majority reason that keeps a lot of clientele OUT. Plus there are, of course, staff changes & drama from time-​to-​time. I can’t speak for other services such as nails & such because I don’t go there for that.
I have been to two different stylist in this establishment, one being Myriam. Myriam is their natural stylist professional/​guru. I’ve only been to her once & from my one time experience, she’s good. My only issue with her was when I originally tried to schedule an appointment she tried to hand me off to another stylist! I had to immediately inform her that if I wanted to be styled by the other stylist then I would have REQUESTED the OTHER stylist lol. Any who, beyond that my experience was good with Myriam. I even had to cancel & reschedule & came late after rescheduling & I was not hassled about it. I can’t complain too much about any establishment that lets me reschedule & BE LATE on the reschedule.
They are also open on Sundays which is a plus for me. Not everybody wants to go to the hair salon on a crowded Saturday. It is very rare to see a salon open 7 days out of the week. Most are usually closed on Sundays & Mondays. Their hours in general are also flexible as they close on 7PM weekdays.

Nice salon, bad experience. I made an appointment with the receptionist who took my phone number and scheduled me for an early morning appointment. I showed up 10 minutes early, however the salon opened up 30 minutes after my appointment time and not to mention, no one called me to tell me this. The person who showed up wasn’t even the one I had the appointment for. Seemed very disorganized and unprofessional, especially for a 1^st visit.
The experience wasn’t all that bad. The young lady who did my hair did a superb job and I was very pleased with my hair and price. However, I am very skeptical about a 2^nd visit. First impressions are a lasting impression and I wish more businesses realized that.

Yeah — I’ve been around the hairdresser block a time or two. Not easily impressed, and since I am pretty good with doing my own hair, really was OK with NOT having a hairdresser.
I found ADU on Myspace, but didn’t call for an appointment for more than two months.
Then, in October, I was feeling lazy and needed a shapeup, so I called in, talked to the receptionist, and asked to stop by and meet the stylist who was the best at short hair. She recommended Bailey Jr, and made an appointment for the next day. I then called back, and I realized I was not too far from the place, and asked could I stop by and see some style books. She said no problem and said that she would make sure I met Bailey Jr when I arrived. I met him, he was nonchalant (but pleasant), and then I sat there for nearly an hour, listening and observing. I didn’t want to hear hair-​shop drama or gossip, nor see clients lined up waiting for stylists, and I DIDN’T! Whew — ok, so I will come back tomorrow.
Bailey Jr paid great attention to detail, is articulate, easy to talk to, and very talented. I like his gusto for life, and his professionalism. Plus he cut my hair just right. I don’t like lots of product on my hair, and he respected that. The color process he did was beautiful — I wanted to go lighter, but he talked me out of it, and promised to go lighter later — better for the hair.
I have now been back twice, and am very pleased with the services. I am a regular now…
