History

Established in 2003.

Since 2012 we offer private yoga lessons in Boulder County, Colorado. Lucy Clark, RYT had opperated in Maryland after the studio was closed by Donna Bair. However, Lucy has maintained the same level of instruction for her students and offers virtual Yoga via Skype or Facetime for interested students and students with limited mobility like Parkinson’s Disease, movement disorders and their care givers.

The Santosha School of Yoga was the 1st studio in Westminster, MD in 2003. It was created as a ‘school’ in order to focus on an educational approach to yoga. Students study yoga beginning with learning their own body. They are taught to read their body’s signs, which indicate physical and mental limitations, while practicing poses. Upon recognizing and honoring their limitations, then encouraged to slowly deepen their practice. We spend time discussing and demonstrating principles of alignment, variations of poses, as well as supporting development of an intuitive and personal experience.

Business Owner

Lucy Ann Clark RYT, the current instructor & owner of santoshaschool.com (Past Director of the Maryland Studio Aug 2007-June 2010). She instructs private yoga lessons and yoga parties around Boulder County (Superior, Louisville, Broomfield and Westminster. She began practicing yoga in 2002 because she wanted to reduce weight, ease stress and relieve back pain. Yoga proved to show results immediately and steadily with joy through the practice. She is happy to bring that same energy and fun into her classes where students flow and learn to make yoga their own. Students are challenged to find their limits & learn new sequences of Asana (postures) & Pranyama (breath work), which aid students in setting progressive goals geared for thier bodies. As a yoga student, she gained a solid yoga foundation in Vinyasa with Jennifer Eisberg beginning in 2003. She continued to be challenged with new postures and finding an ever present desire for deeper understanding in yoga. 200-hour certified.
