Pescecane Ristorante

Went Friday with my family, we experienced a lot of attention from the crew that works there, my son is very curious and kept asking questions and were very well answered… The food was good, but the desserts were excellent enjoyed every bit of it and every one else as well… so thank you!!! Will be coming back soon for some more deliciousness!!!

Ok I’m not sure what’s with this place. We went with another couple Friday night at 7:30 and the place was empty. I have a strict rule that if a restaurant isn’t busy on the weekends especially during the height of high season then the restaurant can’t be good.
So when I saw it was empty I didn’t want to go in! But my friend Gary insisted that I wouldn’t be disappointed even though he knows how fussy I am about food and he was right!
Wow! I have to say it was some of the best lamb chops and Dover sole I ever had! I love lamb and this was domestic lamb cooked to perfection in a delicious brown sauce. The sole was a leviathan at 2lbs! Also expertly filleted and cooked to perfection.
If Unilocal had six stars I would give it six.
I know when my friend David reads this he’s gonna think I’m nuts but I’m not. This a terrific restaurant! And without all the over the top stuff and prices you get at so many of the so called IN places down in SB. Are there super models strutting around like the SB restaurants have, NO but I couldn’t care less when I can get service and food like this at a local place.
Added bonuses, the ambiance is wonderful, the service was impeccable and super friendly, the complimentary starters of Reggiano, bruschetta and grilled zucchini with fig were excellent and you can bring your own bottle.!!
I’m not sure what more I could ask for (maybe a super model or two).At the busiest time of the evening the place was about half full. I’m sitting there and by the way we stayed till midnight we felt so at home and comfortable but I’m scratching my head trying to figure out why there isn’t a line down the block for this place.
Have no idea but kind of glad it’s a secret place. I will be a frequent secret visitor.
Oh and by the way it’s very reasonably priced. Definitely the Best kept secret in north Miami!
So if you go there and you see no one there don’t be afraid be happy and walk in with a smile cause you’re gonna walk out with one!

Second year in a row we go to Pescecane, it’s just as we remembered. The staff is delightful and attentive, will explain any dishes and answer all your questions. Now the food: we ordered the spaghetti bolognese, rigatoni con Salsiccia and requested a small side order of fettucine Alfredo, every dish was fresh made, cooked perfectly and highly suggested, especially the rigatoni. To finish off we ordered a tiramisu to go, had it at our hotel a few hours later. it was delicious!
If you love Italian food, I highly suggest Pescacane, you won’t regret it. Enjoy

I had a terrible experience with this place. I took a friend for a special birthday dinner and we had a decent meal, however the next day I realized I was charged (on my debit card) for our meal AS WELL AS a separate table’s meal. It was a huge charge! I called the restaurant several times and asked for someone to rectify the situation. Although they found the receipts for the meals, and acknowledged something was wrong, they never credited me for the extra table. I had to keep calling back because nothing was done, and they grew more and more rude. I never got any help and on top of everything they were nasty to me. I will NEVER go back, and I have let all of my friends know about the situation there. How do you charge someone for someone else’s party and not even apologize, let alone correct the situation? Very unethical.

What a meal. ! My husband and I ordered the day’s specials (black fettucine with a rose sause, and the pasta filled with gorgonzola and walnuts and they both were a-​ma-​zing!

Great arugula salad, tossed to perfection with fresh oil and with tomatoes and fresh parmesan. The best risotto with mushrooms, rich and with a hint of cheese. Yum. Great service too.

Fabulous food was great owner came in an introduced himself very nice service. I recommend this restaurant to everyone… Again loved the food…

I came in for lunch. I was surprise to see and executive lunch for only $ 14.99 that included appetizer and main course.
I had the ceviche and the lemon chicken with pasta. Very nice. Can not go wrong here.
Small and Cozy with a sort of mom and pop place. I would recommend this place to friends.

My wife and I arrived early Sunday evening, July 26. We took a shot at this restaurant based on the reviews from Unilocal.We were holding our breath as the night before we ate at FIFIs which was a huge bomb!!!
The bar décor is nicely done. Definitely an Italian feel about the restaurant including the large block of parmesan cheese.
We started with an appetizer of baked scallops with parm and butter on half shell. Wow! Absolutely delicious! Wanted to get more!
We both got the special, black ink linguine with scallops, mussels and shrimp. The sauce was tomato, with cream base. I wasn’t sure about the squid ink. Never had before. The waiter assured me the flavor is not impactful.
He was spot on. The portion was perfect size. The flavor was amazing. We didn’t speak more than two words to each other only to exclaim how much we loved the meal.
To top off the meal we had a piece of homemade tiramisu. As if our evening could not have been any better. The desert was great.
This was an excellent experience! We were expecting something to fall short but only got better as time went on.
We cannot recommend this restaurant high enough. Superb!!!

Very disappointing experience; Maybe was an off night. Went here on a weeknight based in the other Unilocal reviews. Was us and two other tables. Service was poor. They were friendly but disorganized. Didn’t get free apps like the other two tables. Didn’t realize till it was too late.
Things took forever to come out of the kitchen and everything except the fish special was just mediocre. Had ceviche which was meh, beet salad of dry, lamb chops didn’t feel like good enough cut of meat for $ 44 and where not finished well. The fish special dover sole was delicious, but market price of $ 65 for a tiny piece of fish no side wasn’t quite worth it. And they forgot to bring the sides we ordered.
Overall, you can get a much better meal in Miami than this place.

The owner is incredibly kind and genuine! You can tell he loves what he does. I had the pesto fetucini with a caprese salad with beets and it was divine! I will definitely be ordering from them again!

I’m from Italy and I was happily surprised by this place.
As many other Italian restaurant in America they tent to overdue with sauces and cheese, but if you make the right choices it will not disappoint you.
I had the salmon carpaccio and shared a whole Branzino in salt crust, very tasty! Also the veggi sides are good (although very modest portions).
My friend ordered the Linguine alle vongole that also were excellent.
The bread was not very good and I would not recommend the baked potatoes.
The Pino Grigio was excellent.
We ended the meal with lemon sorbet (pre-​packaged) and the house chocolate heart cake… They were ok.

This is an amazing restaurant which far surpasses Il Gabbiano, Michaels Genuine, the Forge and some of the other restaurants incorrectly lauded as the best in Miami. Pesecane is elegant, delicious, with wonderful service and marvelous food! One of the best! Thank you for redeeming the Miami culinary scene!

No hesitation for 5 stars! Went there on a Sunday evening with another couple and everything was fantastic! Great food, excellent service, and turns out they participate in Primecard as an added plus. The beet salad was excellent, and seafood ravioli was delicious. We will be back there again soon. Atmosphere was excellent (bathrooms spotless). A fantastic destination in the tiny town of Surfside that has an abundance of choices of restaurants.

One of the best kept secrets in Miami. Superb food! Try the Dover sole and the mushroom raviolis.

My family LOVES this place. First, they put up with us… And there are a lot of us and usually there are a lot of babies too. Our favorites are the branzino and the ravioli. You HAVE to get the special fruit dessert. I didn’t think I could ever enjoy any dessert that didn’t have chocolate in it… But this is one of the top 3 desserts I have ever had. The service is always perfect and they pay such individual attention to each person that we always love coming back.

This place is absolutely delicious. The cons are that it is extremely slow and very expensive … though the food is so delicious it is forgivable. Everything tastes fresh and deep with flavor. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Each item, from the appetizers to the salads to the main dishes, was incredible. I would recommend this if you’re looking for great pasta/​seafood. I got the Spinach Ravioli in pink sauce and it was divine. We also got the mahi and the special of the night which was a black fettucini with squid, clams, and shrimp. It was all just so incredible.
Though it was $ 200 for the three meals, wine, and salads. Super pricey, though worth it if you’re looking to spend lots of money.

Make sure you have nowhere to be. No complaints because we wanted a long night of chatting, but it did take over an hour before getting our first course (salad). Mom got truffle ravioli. Best I’ve ever tasted in my life! I got the Fiochetti stuffed with pear and Gorgonzola. Holy crap. Really the two best pasta dishes I’ve ever tried in my life. Worth the wait! Great classy atmosphere away from tourist traps. Perfect for locals or people who just want to blend in. Would give this five stars but it did seem like they kinda forgot about us! Other parties that came in after us were already getting their checks before our first course came out. May be a fluke and would definitely go back and give it another chance!!!

Excelente servicio, excelente comida. Un gran tesoro en Miami Beach. Vinimos por primera vez y seguramente repetiremos siempre que estemos acá.

From the wine to the dessert everything was great.
The service was impeccable.
The ravioli with champagne sauce was delicious. The only thing less than positive i can say is this place is not really «authentic», but it was a pleasure to be there and enjoy their amazing food and service.
The berries dessert was fantastic.
