Cute place, the place seemed a little sketchy when we first pulled up but its a farm so every farm looks likes its out of a horror film right. The orchard was nice but a little rocky. but what every one wants to know … The apples were huge and ripe and we will probably be going back next year and the selection of types of Apples were pretty good as well.

Love this place! We pick apples here every year & always have a great time. It’s owned by the Foppema family(who also own the FANTASTIC farm store a bit down the road). Yesterday my family was greeted by Ken Foppema, the owner, who introduced himself as we walked in, told us a bit about the apples that are ready now and got us up on the hayride to head out into the field. I really liked that he remembered all of our names, especially my son: it felt personal and welcoming… unlike some other local apple-picking places that put on a 3-ring circus. This is a really nice orchard, and we picked a GIANT bag of beautiful and tasty apples for a reasonable price. The orchard store also sells fresh cider and a selection of baked goods, as well as bags of already picked apples. If you prefer a crowded, ridiculously expensive faux-farm with pony rides, circus acts, themed characters, etc, this is not your place. If you want to enjoy an hour or 2 in a beautiful uncrowded orchard picking fresh beautiful apples, with a hayride(or a stroll… it’s very walkable) through a scenic area, try this one!

Absolutely love ordering fruit pies for the holidays here. Their apple, mixed berry and peach pies are wonderful. Reasonably priced.

I was fortunate enough to visit Keown Orchards. We were greeted with a vast variety of flowers and herbs. We were able to purchase some basil, parsley and a few different flowers for our garden. Because it’s Early June, not all of their fruits and veggies were available. I talked to the girl that was there and she said in the late summer and fall they have PYO(pick your own) pumpkins and hay rides which sound like a lot of fun. We ventured inside to find shelves upon shelves of delicious homemade jellies, jams, sauces, dips, honey, etc… I would recommend Keown Orchards for a fun experience and taking a piece of Keown home with you!

Beautiful spot for pumpkin picking. Delicious Apple crisp. Apple picking is done this year, but I will definitely go back next season, and there are lots of apples and other vegetables still for sale in the shop.

Keown is the king of fruit! Their apricots and plums are the first fruit that really rock my world, even though they come in after blueberries, strawberries and, yes, even cherries. They have to die for peaches and nectarines too, and at the end of the year they have a selection of every kind of apple an apple lover could ever hope for.
