Dr hart seems like a genuinely excellent physician. I spent months trying to get approved for surgery. The staff does not know the requirements for precertification. I ran test after test after test with other doctors trying to get pre approved and was denied due to not having the right major comorbidies.
I suggest calling your insurance ahead of time and finding out their requirements before wasting your time and money spinning your wheels for no reason with this office.
Highly recommend going elsewhere.

I went to Dr. Hart with great expectations. He trained at the Mayo Clinic, he had to be good right? Well he may be a good doctor and have a great pedigree, but that does not give him the right to keep patients waiting an hour in the waiting room and then another 1 ½ in the patient room. I was not even given the common courtesy of the Dr. to say I am sorry that I was behind the was an emergency, NOTHING! If this is the way his practice is run, STAY AWAY!

The office is a little far from my house but worth the drive out there. Everyone is really nice and very helpful. They always make sure I understand what’s going on with my body and my labs. Dr. Hart is very friendly. Tracy smith the dietician has always made sure I understood the food part of this process. I had a lot of questions in the beginning of all this and she and the rest of the office have always been there to answer every question no matter how what! If you are thinking of gastric bypass surgery this is the people you want to do it!

I was born in 1947, so I’m getting long in the tooth, as they say. Up until September 17, 2008, I was taking 12 pills a day for high blood pressure, gastroesophageal reflux disease, type 2 diabetes, cholesterol control, fatty liver disease, and depression. I was 290+ pounds of fat boy, and had a CPAP so I could get enough oxygen while I slept. Under Dr. Hart’s expert surgical skills, and the wonderful staff of his office and Emory Johns Creek Bariatric Center, I had a gastric bypass done, plus a hiatal hernia repair. I am no longer diabetic, take 3 pills a day, no more cholesterol issues, no more high b/​p, and have had most of the depression cloud go away. I weigh 224 and dropping, lost 8 inches around my waist, and can walk 2 miles in a hurry without coughing up a lung. My biological age is now 45, my b/​p is 106/​55, and I sleep deeply every night. The surgery was a breeze, pain control was perfect, and recovery was seamless. I was up walking 3 hours after surgery, and went home the next day! His office helped me past the insurance land mines. I have a new, healthy life thanks to Dr. Chris!!!
