Legacy Academy Suwanee Dam offers a quality program for children birth to first grade that provides an interactive and fun learning curriculum consistent with the standards of excellence set by the National Association for the education of Young Children (NAEYC) as well as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Your child will learn and grow through experiences in technology, art, music, language, math, literacy, and curricular enhancements of yoga, music, teacher directed P.E. & Health along with the foreign languages such as Spanish and Chinese.

Legacy Academy Suwanee Dam also offers a program for school-​agers. Children attending Riverside Elementary, Sugar Hill Elementary, Sycamore Elementary, Level Creek Elementary and White Oak Elementary schools are transported by school bus to our facility where they have an opportunity to finish homework, enjoy a snack, play on their own playground or just socialize with friends.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

As the owner and director of Suwanee Dam’s Legacy Academy, Sam Poyan brings over 11 years of experience and passion as an early-​childhood educator. A graduate of Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, Sam’s devotion to children and education gave her the opportunity to serve many roles in the classroom, such as the Site Coordinator at the YMCA’s renowned Prime Time program and Lead Teacher in two local organizations, Kids R Kids and Children’s World. She has also served as a Kindergarten teacher at Suwanee Elementary School and substitute teacher in the Gwinnett County Public School system.
