Neighborhood Tire Pros & Auto Service

Once upon a time, this was my go-​to place to get work done on my cars. They went down hill and I started using another shop but decided to go back for tires after they changed from Goodyear to Neighborhood Tire Pros. My initial experience was good and the guys inside are very friendly. At my first visit last July, I replaced 2 tires. In December, one of the tires I did NOT replace developed a bulge in the sidewall so I purchased 2 new tires from Neighborhood Tire Pros based on my July visit. Unfortunately, the new tire from December also developed a bulge in the sidewall so I took it back in. This is where things go downhill.
I took the vehicle in on Saturday to show them the tire and get a new one ordered. They had to order my original tires so I didn’t expect them to have the same one in stock. They said it would be ready on Monday. On Monday morning I call before taking the car in and the person on the phone said the tire didn’t make the shipment and it would be there on Tuesday. On Tuesday I call and the person who answered the phone couldn’t find an order for my tire at all! Looks like someone dropped the ball on Saturday, lied about a shipment on Monday, still didn’t order the tire on Monday, and had to get it rushed on Tuesday.
On Wednesday morning, I took the car in and had the tire replaced while I waited. They got it back quickly and called me up to the counter within a half hour to tell me it was done and collect payment of almost $ 50. I asked what the charge was for since these were new tires put on in December and I had the road hazard plan and the bubble was clearly a manufacturer defect. According to Kyle, the plan only covers the actual tire replacement but mounting and balancing is extra. I asked shouldn’t everything be covered by the manufacturer warranty and he gave some BS answer about how that is a hassle and the tire was covered by my road hazard. The $ 50 was for mounting and balancing (about $ 16 of the 50) and a new road hazard plan. Why do I need a new plan when I just bought coverage in December and this is replacing a defective tire? Whatever, I paid it and left figuring it isn’t the shop’s fault that the tire was defective and they should be compensated for the time it takes to mount the new tire (but paying for new roadside coverage was complete crap).
When I got home, I looked up the warranty information for the actual tire and found that the Continental warranty would have completely covered the tire. Not only that, Continental has their own road hazard plan that is FREE. This should have cost absolutely nothing but Neighborhood decided they wanted that $ 50 more than they want repeat business. Shame on me for not looking at the warranty information sooner. Shame on Neighborhood for choosing $ 50 over customer satisfaction. That’s all good though — I’d rather learn that this shop is happy to screw over the customer over a tire than an expensive engine repair…

Jason and Kyle continue to provide excellent service on my and my wife’s cars. Not only was the work completed when they said it would be, they followed up with my wife to make sure everything was repaired/​replaced as promised. We drive over 20 miles each way to take our cars to them and will continue to do. I can’t recommend Jason and his team highly enough.

I love this place. My husband and I have been coming here for years. I’ve never felt overcharged or like they were pushing repairs on me. Nice, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I take my truck there when I need tires or mechanical work. I’m always satisfied with their price & quality, whether tires or repair. They’re just nice folks. And fair with prices.

Worst service ever!!! Our car had A service engine light that came on. So took it in and it failed emissions. Was told we should get it fixed cause our sensors we’re dead. Got charged $ 600 to fix sensors. Was told to drive it around some miles before coming back for another emissions. But 3 days later the same service engine light came back on. So we took it back and they said we had to pay them again for fixing another sensor problem. Are you freaking kidding me? I’M NOT PAYING another $ 600 FOR A DAMN REPEAT YOU GUYS DIDN’T FIX THE FIRST TIME! More like you guys just reset our car and cheated us out on our money. You guys never even fixed our car. You thiefs! Should have asked around before we came to this cheap, untrustworthy, bad customer service, fake, lying business!!! No! We weren’t those crazy customers either. We never made A scene. But being cheated out on our money for no improvement on our car really shows us why you have A low rating on the internet. Don’t come here or you will really get cheated out of your money. Go in and see what I’m talking about. If I could. I’d rate this so called business zero stars.

Kyle Tangel, the manager, has been taking care of my auto’s for years. Each time I visit I get a professional evaluation of my vehicle and rates far below the competition. Each visit has been on time with great results. The staff is always friendly and precise. This is a car care company that has earned my business year after year.

My first time going and buying tires alone without someone with knowledge of what I needed was a success thanks to Kyle. I walked in and told him my tires were bald…“help!” He walked me through the different tires and helped me find the best deal for what I was able to afford. I left feeling completely confident in the selection he had helped me with. Shortly after I received a phone call that my car was ready. Thank you-​it is such a relief to have a place I can bring my vehicle to and not worry that I am being taken advantage of… I would and have recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

The frustration I have with the costumer service at this place coupled with the lack of education on the employees part is indescribable.
Yesterday I went here to get am emissions test for my second car which hasn’t been driven in a while (about 4 months) and had some work done to it. When I showed up and checked in to have my car tested I was a little annoyed. Seeing 3 employees hanging out in their computer room, chatting away (which is completely visible from the waiting area) as I wait 30 min for an emissions test. Now clearly this isn’t my first rodeo, I’ve never waited 30min for an emissions test! Especially while 3 capable employees laugh away as if no work is needing to be done. Anywho, the test came back and I failed. I was shocked to say the least but my dad explained it was the lack of the car being driven after the battery was disconnected. The employees agreed. This is when the emissions tech tells us if we drive the car 50−100miles then it should pass. Since I have a busy schedule and 4 other things to do, having no other choice but to cancel plans and drive my car to put miles on it I decide to go on a 100 mile drive since this had to be done today. Before leaving the shop as I pay I ask Kyle, the store manager, if I need anything else when I come back later. He tells me abruptly and rude he can’t help me I need to go to my tag office and deal with them. I wasn’t even asking him to do anything for me, yet he was combative and quick to offer his advice (over and over I might add) that only my tag office could help me. Help me figure out if I need anything else when I come back. hmmmm, I thought. As I was leaving Kyle informed me and my family all retests are free within 30 days. So I left and I drove. I drove 50 miles one way and 50 miles back. Went right back to the shop and had my car retested. Kyle greeted us as we walked back in, acting like he’s never seen us before (not 3 hours earlier) and when handing him the old paperwork reminded him that the retest was free. His response was «always within 30 days. We’re here to serve you». Making me think my first impression was wrong of him. When they came back and told me it failed again I posed the question why. I had driven it just as was directed to us from their employee infront of their faces. When I asked why the employee helping us said I needed to drove the car 200 miles! I asked why it was told to us earlier that it was only 50 – 100. The employee seemed shocked as if he wasnt there when we were misinformed earlier. He was right there! feelings robbed of my day, all of my plans and my patience when he apologized I said it was fine just be sure his staff is all on the same page for the future. He walked away AS I WAS TALKING TO HIM! Before leaving to ensure the next test was free as it had been told to us from the manager Kyle, we were informed that only the first retest was free. When I told the employee that someone else had given us yet again misinformation he disregarded who told me because «it couldn’t possibly be kyle». It was! I walked out. My mom stayed and delt with them. They offered to give one more free retest, but I won’t be taking it. It’s not about the measly 14 $ it’s about how we were treated. I’ll gladly pay 30 $ for an emissions at the place in downtown Lawrenceville like I did last year instead of going back to them. Kyle is a lier, their staff uneducated, there is no costumer service and their employees accuse you of lieing. There were 4 of us who heard Kyle say the same thing! I’ll be calling corperate. DO NOT GO HERE!

If you are load with money then here is ur place!!! They give me this coupon that make you think you are getting the greatest deal on earth but guess what when the bill came is nothing like they said on the coupon! You will pay extra for the same amount work you can get at any other place and pay half of that you pay here!!! Do not come to this place !!! There is other car service place just down the road ! Which I usual go to but they were fully booked!

Not only are the guys here great looking eye candy they are super sweet and helpful! Will definitely be getting more things done here! Emissions for $ 10 can’t beat it anywhere! Plus I got a $ 5 giftcard to Starbucks for posting on Unilocal

I signed up for Unilocal just to leave a review for these guys. They have been awesome. I first went there about a year and a half ago and they were ok, now they are even friendlier. Jason is cool at the front and very helpful. The other front Desk guys are cool and funny too. Pleasant place… Keep it up guys.

Took my car in yesterday for a balance/​rotation and they refused saying there was metal showing through my tires.
Took my car to another tire place and they had no clue what these guys were referring to. Decent tread left and no metal showing through the tire tread…
Beware — glad I didn’t take their word for it and buy new tires.

I’ve been taking my vehicles to this location for many years but never again. First of all, it has turned into an upsell shop. They have intentionally mislead me about repairs needing to be done and only after questioning do they tell me that the repairs actually aren’t required but «recommended». They also get very indignant if you disagree with their assessment. I had a situation where I wanted a second opinion and was treated very rudely when I told them that.
Customer service is truly lacking and I almost think they enjoy treating customers poorly. I had my vehicle in there a week ago and needed it for a business trip the next day. They had the vehicle all weekend and I was concerned about whether this would delay my trip. I called in and spoke to an employee who had previously been extremely rude to me, etc. I asked to speak to a different employee but this young man curtly told me that he was busy and seemingly demanded to know why I was calling. I explained that I wanted to know when my car would be ready. He became quite annoyed that I was even asking this question and rudely told me someone would call. He then hung up on me while I was asking another question.
That was it for me. I went in and paid them the last money they will ever see from me. Do yourself a favor. Stay away from this place.

I have a Honda 12 years old with over 150,000 miles and I have NEVER had any problems since taking it here! My husband started taking his work truck here because they are so nice, honest, reasonably priced and on time! Kyle and Jason go above and beyond. They always explain things to me in great detail and are never pushy — as a woman I greatly appreciate this. It’s nice to really trust the people that work on our family vehicles!!! I was very pleased with the level of service. Quick and friendly! They charged me exactly what I expected and thanked me for my business. I would recommend this Goodyear store to my friends.

I took my Lexus to Nextire in Suwanee to have the timing belt replaced as regular scheduled maintenance. I had to take it back 3 times as it was making a noise since the belt replacement. Nextire ended up replacing the belt again (and other parts) with Lexus parts at no charge but I still had an issue. I ended up taking it to the dealer to investigate the noise it was still making and ended up paying to have the belt replaced at dealer. All is well now.
In defense of Nextire they did handle my situation professionally and although I had to leave my car several days I was provided a loaner. Kyle T, service advisor, was fair in reviewing my situation and additional expenses incurred at the dealer. The advisor staff is professional and the techs were pleasant during my interactions with them.

Great location. But they have blatantly lied about repairs I needed. Sad, but they are NOT to be trusted. If you go there only pay for what you went in for. Do not by anything they say you need upon «inspecting» your vehicle.

The first time I went there for oil change/​emissions I was told they had too many cars to finish before closing time and they could not take any more, it was 1.5 hrs until they closed. The second time I went they told me it was going to take 1.5 hrs to finish. I would have left but I had gotten a free oil change coupon in mail. It is obvious the mngr does not know a thing about customer service.

I’ve brought my car, as well as my mother’s here for emissions testing several times. It’s hard to beat the $ 19 price when most places still charge $ 25. They usually over exaggerate your wait time if you plan to stay with your car versus dropping it off. Last time I was told it might take as long as two hours, but it only took them about twenty minutes. They’re prices on other services seem fair, but I do most all of my car care maintenance at home. I haven’t bought tires from them because I’ve never been partial to Goodyear tires or any other the smaller brands they carry. They usually give out coupons as a «Birthday Special» if you’re getting an emissions test done.
