Revival Salon

I have been meaning to write this review for quite some time. I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t. Firstly, I’ll let you know that I am very particular about who does my hair. Once I find someone good, I am very loyal to them. Unfortunately, I just moved back to the Atlanta area and I don’t know of any good stylists. Therefore, I am forced to depend on other people’s recommendations and reviews, namely Unilocal.Revival Salon had pretty good reviews on Unilocal,so I decided to give them a try.
I’m really not the type to make appointments months in advance. I’m kind of impatient when it comes to my hair. When it gets to a point that I can’t stand it any longer, I must make an appointment that day. Luckily for me, Revival Salon, accepts walk-​ins. I scheduled an appointment that day for my daughter and I. I must concur with the other Unilocalers, Joy, the receptionist, was awesome! She is definitely their biggest asset. I told her that I wanted to consult with the stylist ahead of time to ensure that she would be able to achieve the results I wanted. My hair was initially a brassy blonde and I really needed a cut to get rid of the dead ends. I explained to the stylist that I wanted my hair to be ash blonde and that I wanted my hair cut into a long bob. I showed her several pictures of exactly how I wanted it. She said that she could do it and I trusted her. She foiled my hair and then washed it. As soon as she removed the towel, I immediately noticed that it looked kind of orange. She passed me off to another girl to cut it. I told her that I wanted a long bob — NO LAYERS! I explained that layers don’t work well with my thin hair; my hair always ends up looking like it is broken off and damaged. I also allowed her to cut off several inches of my hair (which was a really big deal for me) because I wanted my hair to look healthy. Unfortunately, she didn’t listen to anything I said and I ended up with layers in the front that looked broken off and more damaged that before I had come into the salon. She asked how I liked it and I told her that I wasn’t satisfied with the cut or the color. She allowed me to speak with the girl who colored my hair and I explained that I wasn’t happy because my hair was now brassier than before and definitely not ash blonde. She told me that if I still wasn’t satisfied in a couple days, that I could come back and that she would try to fix it. Perhaps I should have taken her up on the offer, but I was too scared that they might damage my hair even more.
Now, as to my daughter. This was only her second hair cut in life and she was really looking forward to this Mommy-​Daughter salon experience. She enjoyed it and seemed satisfied, but I do want to note that while the stylist was cutting my daughter’s hair (the same one who cut mine), one of the other stylists made a recommendation to her and she totally disregarded it and did what she wanted to do (just like she did when I told her not to cut layers in my hair) Additionally, I told her to leave my daughter’s hair all one length and and just trim the ends. She angled the sides AND cut layers!
I paid a pretty decent amount of money to go here and I had higher expectations. I probably would have been more satisfied had I gone to Super Cuts.
Now, all that said, maybe I just happened to have been been stuck with the only two people employed at the salon that had no respect for my wishes and totally disregarded what I requested. The guy giving the recommendation to the stylist who cut our hair appeared to seem competent in his abilities and did a good job on his client’s hair. I doubt I’ll be back.

I had the best hair cut of my life by Cody and got my hair colored for the first time by Lexi! They are the dream team! I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done. I could not be happier with Revival Salon!

Awesome salon!!! I am a super particular person w my high maintenance color and short pixie cut and thought I had found my ultimate hair person back in Ohio and was so scared to get my hair cut since moving to Suwanee … UNTIL NOW. Had an awesome color experience and the BEST HAIR CUT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN!!! Got in really fast and was not disappointed in any aspect of the service. Cody did an awesome job cutting my hair which had outgrown any semblance of its normal self and I left feeling like a before and after example lol. Highly recommend this salon!

I’ve been flip flopping for a month of to cut my hair or not. Decided to go for it while out and about with my husband. Found this place at 3:45 in the afternoon and the Unilocaler’s reviews is what made me make the appointment.
The lady on the phone was extremely nice. She paired me up with Bridget and she was fantastic. She listened to what I wanted (since it was a drastic change). My hair was very dry and dead looking from my recent color. With the new cut the color really pops now. She took her time and I love the results. My husband loves the new cut too! I will definitely come back to see Bridget again. Thank you for the amazing cut.

I finally found my hair home! Just moved to the area a few months ago and been to a few other salons in the surrounding area but never left happy! That all changed today and Im so thankful. From the moment you walk into this salon you are greeted by Joy… Literally! She is a sweet lady with a beautiful smile who showed me around the salon before seating me. Amber did my color. She is a spitfire and full of spunk. Most importantly, she is a great colorist who managed to transform my dull flat color into a dimensional heaven with a splash of purple and without damaging it. Cody cut my hair. Where has this guy been all my life? He pays attention to every tiniest detail which resulted in haircut perfection! Other than the fact he’s an absolute master at cutting hair, he is a pure soul! After talking with him I felt good about spending money there — which by the way is quite reasonably priced for the exceptional service provided! They all had a lot of work to do in order to transform my hair and the salon was full, but I never felt rushed. I left happy with soft and gorgeous hair. It was a great experience and highly recommended. They gave my hair life. I will definitely be back and im bringing my family and friends with me!

My daughter was married on August 22, 2015, and Revival Salon did our hair and makeup for the wedding. Bridget was the makeup artist, and she is a very talented artist. Katie was the hairstylist, and she captured the «look» each one of us envisioned! Revival Salon was an absolutely wonderful salon, and the experience was enjoyable.

After consulting with three different salons in the area, I chose Revival to do the hair and makeup for my wedding, and they FAR exceeded my expectations. To start with, Joy, the receptionist, was incredibly professional and organized. She made the scheduling process very easy, and she consistently checked in with me to make sure we were all comfortable and satisfied throughout the day. We even finished early, which I hear almost never happens on your wedding day!
Bridget did an amazing job with our makeup. She brought all her own tools and makeup, and she listened well to each girl’s desired look. She used HD foundation on all our faces, and we all looked great even when the party ended at 2:00am!
Katie did an incredible job with our up dos. None of us wanted a tight, curled, traditional look, and she did a great job of matching our inspiration photos and offering suggestions to add in braids or twists where she thought they would work. We all received tons of compliments at the wedding, and I loved that everyone had something different.
Overall, I cannot express my gratitude enough for such a happy, stress-​free experience! We all felt so beautiful throughout the night, and we have you to thank! I will recommend your salon to everyone without hesitation. THANK YOU!!!

Loved the entire experience. Joy, the receptionist was friendly and efficient. Rebecca colored my hair a delicious red, and Cody, the owner gives a meticulous hair cut. He looks at your cut, analyzes what is wrong, and fixes it. He makes sure everything is perfect. Prices are reasonable too. $ 64.00 for single process color and $ 65.00 for a great haircut. Highly recommend!

I found Revival when I moved to GA in 2009. I had to move to Pittsburgh in 2012 and left my favorite stylist ever. In April I found out that I would be returning to GA, although it was to the Marietta area. After telling my husband that I got the job, I called to make sure Cody still was accepting clients. My mother was the third call lol. I now drive an hour for my hair and would never change.

I had the best experience at Revival salon. I usually dread getting my hair cut because it’s such an unpleasant experience but my visit to revival couldn’t be farther from that. First, The owner Joy was so accommodating to my last minute hair cut and found a time to squeeze me in after work. Very friendly staff all around.
My stylist was Cody. He was great at helping me decide what would look best for my hair type and lifestyle. Like I said I don’t frequent hair salons so I didn’t quite know what would look good. I was really nervous at first but Cody was such a pro and made the whole experience great. I was the last appt of the night but never did I feel rushed. To say Cody was meticulous would be an understatement. He took time to show me how to quickly blow dry my hair and showed me various styling method which were quick and easy as well.
On top of all of that I got an amazing, low maintenance hair cut which I love. Great all around

I absolutely LOOOOVE my hair! Rebecca did my color and I could not be happier with the way it turned out! I get compliments left & right! Not to mention the salon is so beautiful! Will definitely be back :)

Got my hair dyed for the first time ever at this salon, and I was not disappointed. Rebecca was great, she knew what she was doing. I will definitely have her dye my hair again.
They also use Aveda products, and they will recommend you the right products for your hair.
This first time experience was a great, and I will come back.

This is my boyfriend’s hair salon. When he was living in Suwanee until just about a month ago, it was right around the corner from his house, and since his hair grows faster than most requiring a trim about every 2 – 3 weeks, convenience is key. He also worked out a deal with his stylist (who’s also the owner), Cody, to pay about half the price of a regular cut since he’s there twice a month.
Revival is located a stone’s throw from Suwanee Town Center and occupies a cute little house adjacent to some train tracks and next to some other retail shops. Inside is decorated ornately with plush couches in the waiting area, gold, carved dressers and mirrors for each hair cut station, heavy curtains and dark wood floors.
My boyfriend’s been going to Cody religiously for at least three years now and really enjoys having him cut his hair because they talk about Cody’s death metal band, Collapse of the Apocalypse, their latest gigs, his house by the lake, motorcycles, etc. His mom also works in the salon as the manager and is the friendliest lady you’ll ever meet. She’s super sweet. And the couple of times I’ve gone with him, there’s always an open chair next to my boyfriend’s that I’m invited to occupy while he’s getting trimmed. That’s a nice touch.
He’s very happy with the results, and I am too, so in my book, that’s a win. If you’re in Suwanee and need a trim, I recommend you check out Revival Salon, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The absolute best in GA! I had long, over processed, poorky cut hair. I had given up on it, and just wear it in a bun. Not only is the color total natural, and the cut precisely as I wanted but its silky and Shiney. The whole staff is amazing, not at all pushy. Very knowledgeable, and actually take the time to listen to you.

I’m in love with this place. Cody (the owner) is my angel and if you want the best cut and service, PLEASE see him. Joy (his mother) is always so nice and offers me anything to drink when I get there. I lived in Suwanee when I first went to Revival and I now live in Brookhaven but STILL make the drive to go there. I can’t go to anyone else. Cody was the person who first fixed my hair when another stylist ruined it. PLEASE come here and you will love it. The look of Revival is great and reminds me of Los Angeles (moved from there). A++++

This salon is very hidden. If I did not purchase a groupon, I would have never found it. Inside the salon is just gorgeous though. Probably, the prettiest salon I have been to. They also offer you a complimentary drink. The shampoo process was quick and nothing special. Just a regular shampoo, but I do like that they use Aveda hair products. My cut did not take long but the blow drying process did. I think this is where most of the time went. My stylist was Lexie. She did a great job except when I got home It was uneven. For a top end salon, you would not think that would be a problem. However, I enjoyed my experience here. If it wasn’t for the cut being uneven, I would give it four stars.

2012 is just around the corner and I usually start off the new year with a new ‘do. I’ve been going to Toni and Guy for years but my hair stylist recently moved to a salon in Buckhead so I decided to look for another salon that’s closer to home. I went to Unilocal for help and came upon this place. The reviews are good so I decided to give the place a try.
The salon is super cute and located right up the street from Suwanee Town Center. I originally called to schedule just a cut but a few days later I found a deal on amazon local. $ 49 for $ 100 worth of hair services. Since my cut was going to be $ 50 anyways, I decided to purchase the deal so I could get my color done too.
I arrived at 12:45 for my 1o’clock appt. but I wasn’t taken back until 1:10 since they were a little behind. It wasn’t a big deal though. Joy, the lady at the front desk was apologetic and offered me a complimentary soda.
Maggie did my color and shampoo and both were just ok. One of the biggest things that I absolutely love about Toni and Guy is the shampoo process. They always throw in a head/​neck massage during your shampoo at T&G. Revival lacked in that department. My shampoo was just a regular shampoo. Nothing special. The color was also just ok. I could’ve done my own color at home with the same results for just a fraction of the price.
So why the 4 stars? Well it’s because my cut was absolutely gorgeous! Diana did my cut and she did an awesome job! She listened carefully to what I wanted and spent her time perfecting my ‘do. My haircut took 1 hr and 45 minutes but it was worth every minute! Every time I decide to get a new hair style, it usually takes me a few days to get used to my hair and actually like it. This was the first time that I’ve ever immediately liked my hair after it was cut! After talking to Diana, I find out that she actually used to work at T&G. I’m so glad that she works at this salon now though because it’s so much closer to home.
