G Bar & Kitchen

PLEASE bring back the chocolate mousse. I came here specifically for that and you took it off the menu. It’s so good. Way better than your chocolate soufflé. You can get soufflé anywhere nowadays. And it was only «meh».

This place is great. G Bar & Kitchen is a small, warm, upscale restaurant North of Boston; in my opinion, worth the trek from the city or nearby suburbs. The menu is really diverse — great salads, tuna tartare, lamb, gnocchi, etc. They also have a great wine selection to compliment the dishes.
We did a little tasting menu, and finished off with an amazing dessert — a chocolate soufflé cake topped with ice cream, paired with an espresso.
Plenty of street parking! And great service. I’ll be coming back for sure.

My husband and I came here for date night on a Saturday night. It was busy but not insane. The food was delicious and perfectly executed, and their cocktail list was fun and creative. We split the meatballs for an appetizer, which were pretty good but nothing mind-​blowing. For entrees I had the chicken with a winter vegetable risotto that made me want to lick my plate, and my husband’s filet mignon was cooked perfectly. I was a bit disappointed that service was slow, though it being date night we didn’t mind chatting while we waited. It’s a small place, so there were only 2 servers working which didn’t quite seem like enough to keep up with the crowd.
There seemed to be an unusually high number of dishes and drinks that involved vanilla beans, though — not sure if the chef is on a kick or if they accidentally ordered a case of them, or what…
My husband wasn’t feeling well so we skipped dessert, but we definitely plan to go back — the chocolate soufflé sounded fantastic!

Never fails to deliver. I had a little bit of a wait last time, and my service could have been a little bit more thorough, but for a busy saturday, my experience was great. The food was phenomenal and i have never tried anything from here that wasnt. I reccommend this to anyone

Another fine dining experience at G. Menu changed for the season as I was looking for the in bone Veal Masala. They did not disappoint but the chop was prepared differently. My wife had the sirliun strip. Service impeccable. Again another five stars.

Excellent! Had not been in a while and it did not disappoint. Fish tacos, pappardelle and salmon– all superb. Will make sure to go more often.

Great food, drinks and ambiance. The tuna steak is to die for! So happy to have found this gem in the Swamp!

Perfectly, perfectly cooked ribeye and very accommodating because I have a gluten allergy. I would definitely come back.

Awesome little place. Food was amazing, had the fish tacos — very clean fresh flavors. Awesome wine list. Good service. Menu is creative, you can tell that Gregg puts his heart and soul into everything he makes. The presentation is beautiful as well. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I have been twice with nothing but outstanding things to say. G Bar offers a fresh and creative approach to food. This trip, we split the tomato salad and the spicy shrimp — both had layers of flavor and are highly recommended. My husband ordered the rainbow trout and I had the fish special: halibut. Wow. For dessert, we splurged on the chocolate-​banana bread pudding. This is not the place to go if you’re watching your money, but if you’re out for a great date night, it’s highly recommended!

Great little place! Very little seating, great ambience and wonderful staff! The food was great. However, I did order a filet and after asking the waiter just HOW rare, rare is, I chose to order medium rare. Our waiter, who was excellent, said the chef tends to undercook. That was not the case today. I didn’t send it back because it was still good, however over cooked to my liking. Just in the future I will order rare because it’s easy to throw a steak on the grill and cook it more vs. returning an over cooked steak.
The prices are the only reason I’m not giving 5 stars. The two dollar signs on Unilocal are deceiving. Most of the entrees (including pasta) range from $ 25 – 32. Drinks are around $ 11 a pop. Good place, just a little out of our price range for a reg.

Small, but yummy! Food was really good and good service everywhere. We say at the bar and it was just as good as a table. Totally recommend this place.

Great menu that changes seasonally and always delicious specials. Nice wine list and cozy dining room and bar.

Second time at this place in a month. Bar seats both times, the bartender was attentive, and the wine was very good.
Had apps both tiems, the spicy cauliflower was very good, tuna app was also very good.

Just a delicious wonderful meal. We had the eggplant, filet and fish taco mains. Everything was wonderful, meals came out quickly, filet was cooked a perfect medium rare, I got a side of mashed potatoes that we’re fresh and superb. The eggplant was scrumptious. Desert was crazy good. Really great service and top notch food. Very few restaurants in this area are making food as well as them and I can’t say enough good things. A breath of fresh air in a stale restaurant market. Go here for a great meal, you will not be disappointed.

Great date night spot. Nice location near the beach, intimate with comfortable, stylish décor. Seating is tight but not unlike other hidden gems. I’ve had several memorable steaks here, the chef is great from recipe to presentation. Little pricey but the food is fantastic and worth it. Don’t skip the bread and spread, it’s good stuff!

G-​whiz I enjoyed this restaurant. I only got the potatoe chips made there… Pretty good. But the bartender was great at helping me find a great wine. Nice atmosphere and big, clean bathrooms. Check this place out!

the bread you get when you sit down plus whatever spread they give you is. out of this world! amazing~ We got the crispy shrimp and the tuna tower, both of which was delicious. We also go the fish tacos which was very good as well. I got the G signature cocktail which was alright, but not really what i’m looking for. Cool place to hang out… seems like people come here for date nights: O
