H&R Block

We had a 12:00 appointment yesterday. Showed up 10 minutes early, saw a «No Waiting» sign in the window. Good omen, you’d THINK. Walked in, checked in. Two preparers… both busy, including the one that we had an APPOINTMENT with. How does that mean no waiting? What, if you don’t have an appt, another preparer magically appears? Anyway… we wait for 30 minutes. Not a peep from the overpaid «receptionist». Not a…“We’ll be with you in 5 minutes”…“We’ll be with you in 30 minutes”. Nothing. We went outside and set an appt with Jackson Hewitt that is right across the street. We packed up our stuff and left. Still… no comment from anyone as we headed for the door. I WAS a loyal customer. I can understand how appointments run long, I get it. But… why in the world can’t you find out how long the wait is going to be and come tell us? Do we wait in the lobby? Do we go next door and grab lunch? We chose to leave and not come back. We’ve been using H&R Block for 10+ years. Now a competitor has our business. I’d give no stars if I could. A business that didn’t service us at all doesn’t even deserve the one star minimum that I have to give.
