Our instructors have over 100 combined years in martial arts. We are a fully equipped and clean training facility.

Parents have a closed circuit TV room and viewing windows.

Our students have competed very successfully at international and national tournaments and are known for their sportsmanship, skill and respectful

manner. Come train with champions! Tae Kwon Do isn’t just a martial art it is a way of life. Academic success of our students is a priority.

History

Established in 2003.

Semper Fi TKD came into existence in 2003. Since then we have been awarded a Swansea Business of the Year plaque from the US Commerce Association Washington, DC from 2009 through 2013. We have held 9 Kick-​A-​Thons for St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, supported the Special Olympics and have held fund raising events for local organizations. We have been a drop off center for worn and tattered American flags and a collection center for Toys for Tots.

Meet the Business Owner

Gil Woodside and Shane Mello D.

Business Owner

Both Gil and Shane are life long martial artists. We met while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Shane is a Desert Shield/​Desert Storm Vet and Gil is a Vietnam Vet.

Shane is in Law Enforcement/​Training and Gil is a retired college professor and high school educator with a Doctorate in US History.

Both love the Marine Corps so the name of the studio reflects this. Semper Fi is a shortened version of the Marine Corps motto Semper Fidelis…“Always Faithful”
