Food is awesome and the service is great! The corned beef hash was the best, everything is fresh and cooked to order.

I have to give one star even though the food, especially the meats were very good. The story: Family was staying at Great Wolf Lodge and this was just down the street. It has that country bumpkin feel, which we like for breakfast. Everything was fine until it was a 10 minute wait for the server to take our drink orders and answer some questions about the choices after being seated. She was friendly enough, so «OK fine» even though they were not that busy. My family(2 adults and 12, 10, &8 yrs old kids) order the big combo(can’t remember the exact name) for like $ 24 plus a french toast breakfast and two additional sides and we all shared. The extra side of toast and sausage did not come with the first delivery of food and our server had to be reminded. Food was really good, especially the bacon, ham, sausage, and kielbasa. So much so in fact, I was very interested in their«meat to go» choices on the back of the menu. But the server never came by to check on us for more coffee or juice so I had to finally waive her down for refills and ask her about the«meats to go». … the service negatives were starting to add up. I asked her if I needed to order the«to go» items in the front(there is a store in the front part that sells stuff, a la Cracker Barrel) and she assured me, «no just let her know and she will take care of it»(this hit me later and was part of what really soured me on the place). As we finished, the server was suddenly attentive to our needs, which I quickly realized she was anxious to give us our check(maybe she was at the end of shift at 10am???). OK fine, we’ll get out of your hair, but I was wanted some meats to go, even though they were like $ 16/lb. So I let her know and she went in the back, brought them out and left the check, letting us know we could pay up front. As we were getting ready to leave, we were for the most part satisfied, but the service could have definitely been better, and I would have gotten over it… BUT I was looking at the check at couldn’t figure it out… I wanted to leave a cash tip on the table, but I couldn’t understand the check… typical diner green food slip, but there was all sorts of scratch outs and a bunch of other numbers on the back as well and I really couldn’t make heads or tails of it(I am not an idiot by the way… a BS Physics degree from a Big 10 school), knowing what we ordered and what the prices were. So I did my best guess and left what I thought was a very generous tip(even though the service was not good) of $ 10. We made our way up to the front cash register and I handed her the check and my CC card. She said«$ 115 and change on the card» as she started to swipe and I was like WHAT!!! Our meal could not have been more than $ 45(on the high side) and I got 2 pounds of meat for $ 16/lb so at the most $ 85 w/tax. She saw my surprise just as I was asking for an explanation. Apparently, they charged for juice refills, AND here is the kicker, we were a party of 5 so they automatically added 18% per cent tip!!! I told her hold on a sec, went and grabbed the cash off the table before it was gone, and paid my bill. I was in no mood to be confrontational, but auto tip on party of 5, WTF? Anyway, it was good food so, whatever, right? But I was still stewing on it for awhile and double checked with my wife that we did not see any disclaimer about auto tips for parties of 5 or more… and we were a family, not 5 business guys asking for separate checks! And then it hit me… they included the meats when calculating her tip!!! All she did was go to the kitchen and bring them out and we have to pay an extra $ 5.76 for her??? That did it. I am sorry it was such a bad experience for me because the food was good. Hopefully they will see this post and re-think their practices. I was too timid & polite to make a stink about it at the time, but it will certainly keep my business from them in the future.

Our favorite breakfast place in the Poconos. The waiters and waitresses are always very friendly and keep the coffee flowing. The food is very yummy and you get a lot of food for the price This is the only place we come to for breakfast, and we always have good stories to tell after leaving.

Great place to eat. Delicious food. The corned beef hash is the best had I’ve had. It’s not that crappy stuff you get from the can. The hash is made from real corned beef and tastes great.(There’s a review saying it’s dog food and if dog food tasted like this I would eat it daily.) The pancakes are good and they make some mean bacon. Lots of options. Home fries are real potatoes and you can add onions and peppers if you like them. If you like the meats you have the option to buy them by the pound, but they’re expensive. Overall, a great place to grab something to eat.

Neat concept. Average food. The meal comes out in a skillet and the portions are large. I ordered the bacon with scrambled eggs and home fries. The bacon was salty sweet(tasted kinda like BBQ sauce) and not crispy. The eggs had no taste and my home fries had more onions and peppers the. Actual home fries. If you’re looking for a simple quick breakfast then this is a cool place to try. Nothing too special to go out of your way to see.

I’m not sure why this place has bad reviews? I’ve been there a handful of times for breakfast and the food was very good! I always get the pumpkin pancakes with pumpkin syrup! Amazing! Like a pumpkin pie for breakfast! I have to admit the service wasn’t fantastic but it wasn’t bad either. I did have to ask for the pumpkin syrup that goes with my pancakes(without it the pancakes aren’t as good). Also they didn’t let us sit without our entire party. However, you have to try those pumpkin pancakes! And my son loved their chocolate chip pancakes and one time he had one with sprinkles :) yumm!

Went there for my birthday one year and my mother and I arrived before my stepfather and brother and we were told we were not allowed to be seated because our whole party was not there and we had to be put on the bottom of the waitlist after they finally arrived. After 45 minutes of waiting the waitress showed up, sometimes during our meal but not as much as she should have. I ordered pancakes because I like having them with the whipped cream and such so I ordered the one that came with it. of course… I didnt get any whipped cream at all and they were okay. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

This restaurant is a very special place. The best breakfast in the poconos is served hot and fresh in a large skillet. The kids love the French toast. Try the breakfast sampler with 5 meats. Each is amazing and the ham is the best I’ve ever had, anywhere. Good value too! We went back for dinner this weekend and was just as happy. The smoked baby back ribs were awesome. The ham dinner was the tables favorite. My wife loved the chicken and dumplings. Service was excellent.

This restaurant is located just down the street from the Great Wolf Lodge which is no doubt why it is still in business. My family and I were staying at Great Wolf and went looking for someplace to eat breakfast, found this place and deicded to give it a shot. This was a mistake that I’m sure many have made that have stayed at the Great Wolf. The food was disgusting — seriously. Not one person in our 5 person family finished their food. The service was just as bad and the surroundings were dirty. The bathroom toliet wouldn’t flush, seriously I could go on and on. Their claim to fame is that they serve your food in a pan, but what good is it if the food is not edible? If you are looking for good food, service and surroundings skip this place.
