My certification exam experience was a mixture between a horror movie and a Seinfeld episode.
I arrived early for my test, was 2^nd in line to be helped into the testing area and waited for less than 2 minutes.
«Great», I thought. This calms my nerves, get straight to the point. Get in there and do it!
Flash forward 5 minutes. There is an issue with my computer. Maybe its my computer, maybe its the test. Either way the problem is not something that can be troubleshot on site. Nor are the people on site trained to troubleshoot these issues. There is a help desk they call like any other corporate place

Each time with a «empty your pockets, turn them inside out, lift up your pant legs, roll up your sleeves»… each time.
The help desk is «escalated»
The issues is resolved and over 100 minutes from the time I signed in I am seated and taking my test in a side room. I liked the privacy, but the walls are paper thin. The proctors are chatting and I hear every bit.
I took the NCLEX with Pearson. The location was on the money, professional, comfortable, efficient. This operation was really low budget. I informed AANP of the issue, hopefully they choose a different company to administer their exams in the future.

The staff was quick, efficient, and professional. They were very courteous and gave me good directions when I called and asked how to drive to the testing center. They were fast when I went in and out of the exam rooms for breaks. The facility was quiet and clean. The computer, headphones, and all equipment worked well, and I had no problems. Also, when I called and requested a 9am start time over 8am, they were very willing to accommodate me. The test experience was about as good as it could be for an 8 hour exam.
