Angeles Shooting Range

The staff at ASR is friendly and helpful. The range is clean and the RSOs were polite. I highly reccomend taking the reloading class taught by John. It is an excellent class that was fun and never boring.

This range has close to 60 lanes if not more. Skeet shooting, pistol steel targets, and long range targets, about 500 yards I believe. Very polite and professional staff unlike some other indoor ranges closer to me. RSO’s are consistently walking up and down the lanes keeping it safe, police calling brass, and helping with any questions you may have. If my commute wasn’t so far, I’d be here every weekend.

Went here with some buddies for the first time. To be honest I haven’t been to many shooting ranges. I’ve been to 2 or 3 other ones but they were indoor ones. This one is outdoor and it was a nice day.
I felt like it was relatively controlled. The staff were quite vigilante with checking on guns and making sure everyone was acting in a safe manner. Also the neighboring shooters seemed polite and safe as well.
We shot rifles and then moved on to pistols. It was quite busy but we found spots to shoot. The price per person to shoot is $ 19 but you have all day to shoot. Also you are not limited to a specific lane. Good experience and would come back.

This is my favorite outdoor range! Been going to this location for over a decade! Love all the metal targets they have set up for pistol and rifle ranges. They even have long range rifle targets up to 600 yds! Whether you’re a beginner or advance shooter, this place has it all. Don’t be intimated by all the people there… it gets very crowded and loud. So make sure to bring your ear plugs and safety eye glasses.
Thursday is 50% off… ALL DAY Long! Wednesday opens until 8 p.m. and it’s 50% off after 4 p.m. Look for coupons on their website. Happy Shooting!!!

The best outdoor range I have seen — in California at least.
Pros:
+ Costs are very reasonable. $ 19 per shooter for all day shooting on any of the ranges you like (100 – 600 yard rifle range, 100 yard pistol shooting gallery with steel plate swingers, and a «set up your own targets» range)
+ Plenty of free parking.
+ On site hot dog cart if you get hungry.
+ Lots of range safety officers who are firm but fair, and are fast to identify and stop safety issues.
+ Plenty of concrete benches for rifle rests — be sure to bring a mat to put over the concrete as it’s pretty rough.
Cons:
— None I can think of.

Great place to shoot, open and roomy shooting benches. You can shoot and smoke a cigar at the same time. This is the place to shoot.

By Far The Best Shooting Range In LA County!

This was my first time at a outdoor shooting range and it felt good. I’m normally a indoor shooter for the close range targets but since I went out and tried an AR the outdoors felt like the place to be. The staff was friendly, entry, ammo, and targets are all reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming back sooner than later.

This was my first time at the shooting range. I thought it was very cool to see in tear everything. There’s even a store where you can buy everything you need to reload your own ammo.
The only thing that makes me hesitate coming back and using the facility, is that there was way too many people. As a safety precaution, it’s not really a good idea to shoot a weapon around that many people. It seem like the proximity was too close.
It was very busy, but from what I hear, it’s still busy on weekdays as well.
The reloading store was pretty awesome. They had everything you need, and I mean everything! The guy running the store is pretty cool to!
I definitely would like to try shooting at arrange some time, but not sure if I would try it here?!

I been here a couple times, but i dont know if i would recommend this place again. The rifle range and facilities are great.
My experience today has my head spinning. I overheard a shooter threaten someone in the next position over to them. He was right around the a2 or a3 spot next to the range master. Nothing was done to correction the situations with behavior that is definitely not acceptable in any format, especially at a gun range.
new shooter was setting up his target and he yelled out to move it over because it was in his line of sight. When the new shooter got back to the line he made a comment that he might shoot his target or shoot him. Like wtf?! Right in front of the range master. Nothing.
Later, when the new shooter started shooting, the new shooter didnt have a brass screen up. So the dude told him to grab one. Which is fine with me. What wasnt ok, was he followed up with a comment saying «dont make turn around and point this at you» again wow, nothing was done.
After a while he stop making those crazy comments.
So overall, theres new shooters and experienced ones. When it comes to this behavior, it makes for a uncomfortable and dangerous situations.

LOVE coming here! Their prices are reasonable and its fast kinda thing. Walk in sign forms pay and you’re ready to go! It can get loud so i wear ear plugs and ear muffs on top. I have been here more than 10 times.
They have clean restrooms, they are very strict with fire arms safety, which is great! Bring your own ammunition and gun. They do have a store inside but not sure about their prices. We usually got to Walmart for Ammunition or Turners. Great place to have fun and shoot.

Been twice now with my Glock 17. Like being outdoors! I bring my own ammo; just went this past Tuesday, it was only $ 8 for seniors, LOL.

Everyone has a great attitute. If you follow their rules, you’ll have a great time. I have taken friends and now they go on their own. I take my family (wife and kids). Safe place. It I would win the lottery, I would go more often (ammo). I take my HK MR5.56AR, HK USC 45acp, Smith & Wesson 357, my wife’s HK USP compact 9 mm, my daughter’s HK416. 22LR, Cricket. 22LR, my son’s Ruger carbine 22LR. Soon were taking our new family member, Benelli M4 :)
Just remember, when they say cease fire, the lines are now cold, that means, stay away from the benches from where you were shooting, it’s for the safety of the shooters walking to their targets either for more set up, or picking up their targets, you don’t want to be called out and told over the loud speaker, «stay away from the bench, you Sir, Sir, the one in the white with stripped shirt» lol this happened to my dad lol.

For target practice/​self defense/​gun play of all kinds, this place is the BEST. It’s secluded, friendly, laid back, very affordable and safe. Don’t listen to the negative ads, UNLESS you are an unsafe gun owner, waving your piece around like a cartoon stereotype. The staff HAVE to work hard to keep the «inexperienced» out there from hurting someone — so yes, they have to be aggressively safe! Do you want to go to a shooting range without safety?
Anyway, bring a picnic lunch, don’t be afraid to ask for help of the other members who are shooting there — they’ll almost always be helpful.
TIP: Go on Thursday mornings — before 1pm, it’s empty and half-​priced. You’re welcome.

Best shooting range I’ve ever been to by far.
All the steel targets they have from 30 yards to 700yards.
Plus it’s so close to the city. plenty of parking they also have Ammo for sell in case you run out. really recommend it… (Good Times their) life is good.

An awesome outdoor shooting range located in the mountains of Los Angeles. Since it is an outdoor shooting range the lanes are not separated like an indoor range, rather there is a long row separated by pistols, rifles and shotguns. Everything here is pretty much bringing your own but they do sell ammunition. Once you walk up to the office, everyone has to sign a form of release and once you pay they stamp your hand and you’re ready to go! There is lots of staff at hand who constantly walk back and forth the lane to make sure that nothing goes awry.
I came with my friend who is very experienced with firearms and has been here many times so it was nice to have someone who was familiar with the range already. When you walk into the lane there are two tables, one to put your gear and the firing line where you put all your guns out to shoot.
IMPORTANT SAFTEY INFORMATION:
— Once you are in the firing lanes, eye and ear protection must be worn at all times!
— If you have to move your gun outside of the firing line you must face the barrel upwards and also have the gun de-​cocked.
Depending on the amount of ammunition you take with you, you can easily spend a few hours here. If that is the case remember to bring lots of water and food! Since it is in the mountains, the weather can be unpredictable but I would suggest wearing layers so if it gets too hot you can adjust accordingly. In case you forget to bring food or drink, there is a hot dog stand to remedy that situation.
This is probably the best shooting range you can come to if you don’t mind driving a little bit further than normal. This beats out any indoor range since it may make you feel confined so people who get claustrophobic easily will feel more at ease at an outdoor range. For the price it can’t be beat, the only downside is that you can’t rent any guns so you aren’t able to try out various guns like at an indoor range so it’s better for a large group to come so everyone can bring their own and share. I will be back!

If you want to let your inner badass out, then come to the Angeles shooting range.
You need to bring your own gun (s), unless you’re easy to make friends, but you can buy ammo, safety glasses and ear plugs there!
Loads of targets to keep you busy and feel like a BOSS! If the pig were real, I would have killed at least 50 of them… BACON FOR LIFE!
The staff are all very helpful so if you have any questions about ANYTHING do NOT hesitate to ask!
If you forgot to bring a snack and give no shits about your arteries, this place offers up some hot dogs from a cart stand at the entrance.
And for all of you who care… The bathrooms are very clean but then again the population of WOMEN at the shooting range is paltry in comparison to men, so the ladies room doesn’t get too many visitors. Ha!
Enjoy a day of full on badassery… Just watch out for the rattlesnakes!

OUTDOOR! Yes! Once you go outdoor shooting you don’t want to go back to indoor range shooting.
Angeles is 30 miles from DTLA on a good day. A fair warning… if you are headed up on the weekends, go early. The open at 0900hrs and the place is already packed.
Plenty of parking. Right side from the parking lot is pistol one, left side is rifle shooting. Bring all your gear, bring hydration, bring your rounds, have fun and be safe!
The range staff is strict (but don’t get your panties in a wad cuz they’re trying to keep everyone safe). A person pays around $ 23 – 24 admission which comes with a refundable PVC pipe target holders (return for $ 4 refund… unless you shoot the crap outta your PVC holder). LEO discount. Hot dog cart available for lunch.
Have fun, adhere to the rules and finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire! ;)
