Nick, Theresa and the entire Lighthouse crew just turned the interior of our new house from nasty to knockout. Nick has a great eye and is an absolute professional when it comes to paint, color and creating a pleasing look for your home. Our place needed lots of work, and wound up costing more than we anticipated. However, Nick was more than happy to work with us to see how we could keep our costs down. We’re absolutely delighted with everything, from the exemplary service to the finished look. Thank you all so very much!

Nick did a job for me in May of 2013, patio cover, shutters, front door, and some iron gates. Two and a half years later I noticed some paint peeling off the top of the patio cover. I called Nick and he promptly came out to check it. He sent a man out in a timely manner to repaint the cover. Nick stands by his work and does a Great job! Office staff is also Great!

Lighthouse Painting did an amazing job on my house. Nick and Theresa were so helpful. I changed by mind several time about the amount of work I needed done (interior and exterior), and they were patient with me and understanding. The crew was great. Showed up on time, got my entire exterior, plus detached garage and the wall around my yard done in 4 days. They were very professional and my house looks beautiful again. Lighthouse painters are high in quality and attitude. Adam came out to my house to give me a free evaluation. What ever I asked for he could do with know questions asked. The price to paint the exterior of my house was very fair. Adam said the whole job would take 3 day’s and it did. The painters arrived at my house every mourning at 7: am ready to work. They really know how to prep the house for painting, including sanding, caulking, and taping off all areas that don’t require paint. The men then helped me with matching the new paint to the old paint because I wanted the same color. After they completed the job they cleaned up everything in sight. The house looks beautiful and all of my neighbors are asking who painted my house. I informed them the company is calledLighthouse painting and there the best painting company I ever delt with in all of my life. One more note the painters truly love there jobs you can tell by there singing and laughing. Thanks again Lighthouse

Nick’s crew, headed by Sergio, was fantastic! They just finished repairing stucco, replacing dry rot, and painting all the trim, doors, and exterior of our house — and we couldn’t be happier!
Nick and Teresa were very helpful along the way, and even though it was a big job, the price was right for us. Sergio was great in making sure that little details were taken care of — yes, a couple windows were painted shut at first (they are 89 years old and it’s bound to happen!), but Sergio made sure they opened them and repainted the parts that needed it.
We would definitely recommend Lighthouse to anyone needing exterior work done — and we will be sure to call them when we are ready to work on the interior.

Job: paint stucco house exterior; paint 3 bedrooms and family rooms; color, stain and, varnish 20 wooden doors and windows.
Pro: Contract was properly written and eventually fulfilled. Detail work was eventually completed. Wood staining was matched properly to existing colors.
Con: I complained to Nick that the all-​important details were sloppy. Paint was on wooden door frames in several places. Paint was on the white baseboards in several places. Several doors were painted shut; (3 doors were painted shut twice and 1 door was painted shut 3 different times). Paint was spilled on brand new paving stones outside. Nick’s response to me was «I can’t be here all the time looking over everybody’s shoulder making sure everything is done properly.» Clearly something a contractor should never say. I asked Nick if dirt was washed off the stucco before painting it. There was no evidence that the stucco was washed. His response was «I don’t know, but if I ask the workers, they will tell me yes.» Another unacceptable answer. I had 8 different workers at my house over 10 days and had to explain multiple times what to do. I had a punch list with more than 20 items, almost all fine little details that matter most when painting. Most details had to be fixed more than once, several details took 3 attempts to finish properly. To finish the job correctly, I had to follow around the painter for 3 hours making sure every detail was completed properly. That’s unacceptable when you pay a professional.

Nick and his crew did an excellent job! Nick was early on the day he gave us the estimate. He was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. His crew was on time on the day that they painted and were also professional. Theresa, who does the scheduling was also very professional and pleasant. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

We used Lighthouse to do a major exterior painting of our house in Van Nuys about two and a half years ago. The price included a three-​year warranty to repair cracking, chipping and peeling… and this summer it became apparent that we needed some touch-​up work done. In addition, the entire south wall of our house had spots where there was «bleed-​through» from defective paint. After Nick came back to inspect the house, he agreed that the touch-​ups were covered by the warranty. We made an appointment for that work to be done… and this past weekend, Ryan and Carlos showed up promptly as scheduled and then, in an efficient, professional manner, took care of all the necessary re-​painting. And now the house looks great! What could have been a contentious, difficult situation was handled in a reasonable, no-​hassle manner. Thank you, Nick and Lighthouse… we will not hesitate to use you again and recommend you to our friends and family!

From guiding us to color scheme to seeing the finished product, we are so impressed with Nick and his crew! Our house turned out EXACTLY how we wanted. Lighthouse Painting was very reasonably priced when compared to two contractors we have recently worked with. They were very flexible when we had to move the start date because of an initial HOA rejection of our color proposal. The crew did a thorough clean up daily. It is a family operation, and it shows through the care and professionalism that we experienced from start to finish!

Nick was very helpful during every step, keeping in contact with me during the process, returning my calls, and helping with color selection. What a great experience! We are getting our house ready to go on the market and needed the fascia and trim painted, plus a half wall in the front. Had a great experience with Lighthouse Painting. We wanted the front of our house touched up from sun damage. Nick, the owner, came and did the estimate — the price was very reasonable. The painter showed up on time and did a did a great job!

This is the third job I hired Nick Daltillo from Lighthouse painters. The first two were just fine. I hired him a week ago to paint my kitchen cabinets which needed a lot of sanding and were a messy job because of the previous finish on them.
Nick said it was an easy «three day job» and he would start last Wednesday. However, i received an email saying the job would be delayed until Thursday start date. Fine, no problem and he would finish Saturday.
Nick showed up at my home Thursday morning as promised and left two men there to prep and sand. The next morning I did not think anything of it when two different men showed up. They seemed lost and confused as to what to do. I had assumed Nick was checking on the job throughout the day. When I came home at the end of Day Two it was obvious very little work was done and my cabinets were about 40% sanded.
I called Nick and left a voice mail expressing my concern and did not receive any return calls. Then I was awoken after 11pm that night with a text message from him that the job would be delayed until Monday! Five days.
I said forget it and it must be finished Sunday. The next morning I again phoned Nick to ask him what the deal was and to please call me. His men who showed up Saturday took many long breaks and left early. I emailed Nick and texted him as well and he ignored all my messages. Finally, he texted back he was away on vacation!
He avoided all my calls and still has not answered my email. The job was finished Sunday afternoon but I am circumspect how good it is. Where they should have sanded and patched they just painted over large chips of paint which show through the new paint. Also there was no leftover paint– his guys took it all. Nick Daltillo has never seen the kitchen since the job started. I got the bill though. He phoned me first thing Monday morning requesting payment and then again Tuesday morning.
I would NEVER recommend nor use this painter again. What a flake!

I have a BRAND NEW house with nothing but white walls. Lighthouse came in ahead of schedule with a great price and painted my entire place in less than 3 days. Professional and just a pleasure to work with. Thanks to Lighthouse my house is now a home!

Our house desperately needed a facelift after 15 years. My husband being a contractor was hesitant to hire out but thankful otherwise occupied. We called Nick at Lighthouse Painting he was prompt to return our call, professional, responsible and honest. We took 5 bids for the job (we have a 2 story house and the job entailed a huge amount of prep work). His bid was reasonable for the amount of work involved and clearly outlined the scope of work to be performed.
His team lead by Antonio were extremely organized, wonderful teamwork, polite, dedicated and trustworthy. The job took a few days longer due to the rain but being married to a contractor you know this is part of the job. They prepped filled all cracks replaced termite and fungus ridden wooden window beams and stairs. They were careful with my plants and to not leave a mess after themselves and were always available to answer any questions that came up. Our house looks fabulous and I would definitely recommend this company if you want a top quality paint job.
