What’s the Scoop is located in the heart of Sylvan beach village and carries over 40 flavors of hard Perry’s Ice Cream, a western New York ice cream manufacturer. I agree with the other reviewers when they say that this place is a «little gem». The staff is friendly (I would know I was an employee quite a few years ago), and the facility is clean inside and out. The owner holds himself and his staff in the highest regard and it shows! If you are in the area, I highly recommend a visit! My personal favorites are the Flurry (you can enjoy so many great candies, I like peanut butter cups with twist ice cream) and the mango ice!

The staff was very friendly and helpful! There are quite a few hard flavors to choose from. I ordered a kiddie, because I was short on money, but the kiddie is basically a giant heaping scoop, which was more than plenty! Only two dollars for a scoop, but if you want a flurry, shake, or sundae, you’re going to be paying quite a bit more.
My favorite thing about this place is the free sprinkles! Most places charge upwards of 35 scents for them, so having the free option here is really nice. Best place in Sylvan Beach for ice cream!

I love going to «The Beach» when I’m visiting my family. I grew up going to Sylvan Beach, and it’s nostalgic. The scoop is a wonderful ice cream shop with SO MANY flavors to choose from! (See my pictures). I had splurged and had a hot fudge sunday with mocha almond ice cream, and it was sooooo delicious. This place is a little gem, and you should visit while you’re in the area.
