History

Established in 2012.

Early in 2012, Ann Sedore joined forces with Heather Kennedy to open the Downtown Dance Studio. They hope to contribute to the revitalization of downtown Syracuse as well as to build an even more vital dance community in Central New York.

Manager

Heather Kennedy has had the privilege of dancing most of her life. Starting with Ballet. Later on in life she was able to do Jazz, Modern, Musical Theatre, and Gymnastics. Which all have helped her in here career choice and her own dancing.

She first started teaching in February of 2004. Where she worked with an amazing coach from Poland. Lukas Rogowski and his lovely wife Tara. With many hours and sore toes she worked her way through the company to work with entry level students as well as advanced students. Her handwork and dedication to her students goes way beyond just dance. She has a strong concern for the health and well being of her students.

She has studied to understand the different learning styles for her to teach each personality and style appropriately for the best results, in the time given. She choreographs her students wedding dances and performances for competition. Having a history in music she is able to help her students understand the musicality of the what danc
