«IAQ» stands for Indoor Air Quality, a phrase that has become synonymous with the broader term «Indoor Environmental Quality». But our focus is on making your entire indoor environment healthy and comfortable.

IAQ Technologies is not your typical indoor environmental or building performance company, and we don’t want to be. We are a small company with big vision. Since our inception in 1990, we have been an industry technology leader and innovator for the services we offer.

History

Established in 1990.

IAQ Technologies, Inc. was formed in 1990 by President and CEO, Bob Krell. We are a small privately-​held corporation based in Syracuse, NY providing indoor environmental consulting, training and remediation services for a wide range of clients throughout the country.

Indoor environments are our only business. We are not a national franchise with some far away corporate office and a big mass media marketing strategy. We are not carpet cleaners-​turned restoration firm-​turned mold remediator-​turned IAQ consultant. We don’t do lawn care or pest control, and we didn’t get into the business to sell air purifiers! Our ONLY focus is to make your indoors a better place to be. We provide our clients with the professional support they need to create a healthier, comfortable, and more energy efficient indoor environment in their offices, schools, healthcare facilities, or residences.

Business Owner

Bob has been a nationally recognized indoor environmental consultant and trainer in the IAQ industry for over 21 years. He has designed and managed successful indoor environmental and building performance projects for residential, commercial, educational and healthcare facilities throughout the U.S., and conducted hundreds of investigations since 1990. He has presented at numerous industry conferences, appeared on national television and radio, and is widely published on indoor environmental topics. Bob served as the Green Consultant/​Designer for Mark Antony Homes, LLC in Syracuse, NY on the first new home in New York State and the 7^th nationally to be certified Gold under the NAHB ANSI Green Standard. The 4800 sq. ft. custom luxury home debuted at the 2009 CNY Parade of Homes and features geothermal, PV solar, wind turbines, whole house ventilation, spray poly foam insulation and a host of other green innovations. He writes The Great Indoors weekly blog.
