This burger place was surprisingly NOTBAD. My boyfriend and I went here on a Friday before our 8:00 comedy show and wanted a quick bite before we went to the show. I ordered the regular burger which was only 1.50, and my boyfriend got the cheeseburger combo with a drink. I think the total price came out to $ 6, which we were surprised about. The burger is not bad, better than a fast food place like McDonalds or Burger King, but it doesn’t blow minds. It’s not bad for the price though! The french fries were amazing. I’m crazy about french fries and these surpassed my expectations. I’m taking off a star because of the place itself. It’s a family owned restaurant and it looks like they keep their whole family there. They had a toddler on a tricycle and the TV was in Korean. The place is a bit unsightly. There’s not that much parking, but it wasn’t a problem for us when we went. The parking space is a bit small and annoying to get into and out of though. The people there seemed nice though! I would probably order the fries there again, but order it to-go.

My husband and I come here for the cheese steaks. In particully I like the shrimp cheese steak, its sound weird but it’s really good. It’s kind of like surf and turf on a sandwich. Service has been friendly it’s just a little weird in there. There’s a tv with a xbox and office chair. I think it’s their son that’s always sitting there. I rather not rate it down for this but I can’t help find it a little weird and it makes me not want to eat there. Another reason I marked them down is we have gone there when there suppose to be open and they aren’t there. We don’t leave close to here anymore, so it’s a little annoying when they aren’t there.

Best beef fried rice anywhere in the Puget Sound. The cheese-steaks are also amazing!

This place is great! It’s family owned and friendly. The food is delicious and much better and cheaper than a chain fast food place. You can get a combo meal for $ 5. The location is not that great because the place is small, and the parking isn’t that all comfortable to get in and out of, but the food is worth it. Definitely worth going to.

The burgers are really good and super cheap. We got 2 cheese burgers for under $ 5. Unfortunately the staff can be very rude and hard to understand. The building is very old and run down. The inside is dark and dreary and the outside is ugly. Not to mention the parking lot is horrible to get in and out of and there is barely any parking. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the food was good enough to make up for the negatives.

The yakisoba is not good. The chicken tasted like it was passed its due date. The burgers on the other hand are good. The phillys are good. But the chinese food. Not so good.

Excellent food, excellent prices. The onion rings are pretty good and the burgers are some of the better ones in Tacoma. I took off two stars for ambiance and the constant trash and drug paraphernalia that they just leave in the parking lot.

Their food is fantastic. I come here often and the prices are very inexpensive. And better quality food then any McDonald’s or burger king. You can watch them make it if they are not busy and see its fresh quality food. I highly recommend for a great burger or even a Philly which is the hubbys fav!

This place has great food with great portions! The burgers are good with a large amount of fries(which are great)! The Philly Cheese steak Sandwich is large and can compete with the best of them! The staff may not be joking around being super friendly but they are efficient and polite and that’s all I needed! They so charge for refills, the restaurant is a modified house but the good food easily trumps this all! I am a fan of this place and will be back soon!

A weird mix of food. Teriyaki/Chinese food, philly steaks and burgers? The pricing is cheap, but the customer service is awful. They ignore you at the corner, never smile, and take your money and walk away. He’s very rude on the phone as well, when he answers it. They do absolutely no substitutions. And if you actually go in and DINE –in rather then do delivery, you realize how filthy their restaurant and kitchen is. ick.

I feel bad giving a poor review. I used to be a regular here. The interior of the place is a bit grimy and the owners aren’t very friendly, but their pricing and food made me come back. However, the last time my office ordered, we had 4 meals ordered. Three of us had chicken, and one had a burger. Within 2 hours, all three of the employees who had chicken were in the bathroom vomiting. One of our employees called the restaurant, giving them a heads up. We tried telling them nicely that we thought the chicken might be bad, as all three of us got sick from it. He was very angry and defensive. we expressed again we only were calling because we were concerned other people would get sick. He yelled at my employee and hung up on him. Because of his poor response, we ended up reporting the illness to the health department. I get that stuff happens. A proper response would have been a sympathetic apology, and a statement about having the foods checked, or contacting their distributor to ensure no one else got sick. I wasn’t expecting anything more. Our office will no longer order from there.

Came again. Got that Philly cheesesteak I wanted to try. It was okay. A little dry. The meat was plentiful and pretty tender. It was missing something though. The bread it came on was light and delicious. He got the mega all-star burger. It was big. We both got combos. His was a better value. Overall, again, the prices are fair. The place is really small, which is fine. The owners aren’t the friendliest, but that’s okay too. The lobby is FREEZING! Yesterday I believe it may have been warmer outside than in the restaurant. I think it might have something to do with their evacuation of the smoke. FYI-burgers are flame broiled. Give it a try if you’re in the area. Calling ahead is good as wait times are a little long, but that’s because their busy and they make to order. OH. almost forgot. I got an egg roll for $ 1. It was the best egg roll I’ve ever eaten. I believe it was homemade. The filling was okay but the wrapper was OUTSTANDING. The softest most delicate wrapper ever. I wish my Philly cheesesteak was wrapped in it!

Cheap food. Amazing burgers, gyoza, cheese steaks, and basically everything else. Staff is adorable and friendly. Not much of a sit-down place, but you cannot beat the prices and the quick wait times.

I can see what people mean about the place looking dirty and the owner doing some kind of crazy stuff but I eat her all the time I’ll look it its cheap and tasty find me not the greatest burger in the world but for the price it is it’s better than getting a dollar burger from McDonalds

I am reposting since I know they requested my review be deleted!!! I WISH I COULDZEROSTARSBECAUSETHEYSUCKANDARERUDE!!! They must have changed owners. In the past, when I have ordered their food it was fresh and their fries were thicker. Now that someone different has answered the phone(aka New Management)… the quality has gone down. Today I said let me give them a try again since I was craving a Philly Cheesesteak. I called in began ordering and then was asked to hold(no biggie). My toddler began screaming and I asked the gentleman to please hold on a second and he said NO! You need to call back BECAUSE I’m BUSY! And hangs up!!! I was stunned. I called back requesting a manager and the guy refused and hung up. I decided to give call back once again and requested a manager and he began calling me «B***» and to never call again. Again, I was stunned being that I have ordered with them for over a year! At that point, I called back and told them I will be leaving a review in hopes that management will see it. I get a call back and the guy THREATENS me and says he is coming OVERRIGHTNOWTOSHOWME! Where do these people come from? NOCLASS! I told him I will contact the police and if he shows up it will be trouble! I used to like them despite the shabby location but honestly whoever is new management is GOINGTORUIN the business… But from what I hear it’s already going down hill! My advice is TREATYOURCUSTOMERSWITHRESPECT! Where I come from, to make money in restaurant business YOUHAVETOPLAYNICE! As for everyone else, don’t ask the guy on the other line to hold because you will be cursed out and threatened!

Just cause it was in a local newspaper doesn’t mean its great. The menu board had paper prices with different hand written type for almost every menu item, but not in a good way. We ordered the Philly Cheese steaks and we were bombarded by the echos of the cook making them, it was so loud we couldn’t hear anything but the spatchalas. The only other customers at the time were two people asking if we had change for a hundred, their conversation after they received their food was so loud and irritating we decided to leave even though we didn’t finish our food.

I loved the fries and burgers there for years. Then, I went in to get my usual tartar sauce berg and fries and was disgusted. The owner was cooking and eating ramen noodles over the grill. Then he lit a cigarette inside and grabbed a beer out of the food fridge and smoked as he walked out, hopped in his car and drove off. There is a layer of grease on the floor and a hole the size of a baseball in the bathroom door. Water damage in the ceiling was also a red flag. The owners’ kid walking around and driving his hot wheels on our table lessened the experience.

My favorite burger spot in Tacoma. I grew up hanging out in Oakland Park and All Star is a neighborhood favorite. Simply put, they make perfect burgers. The best part about it is the price. I order a #4 meal which is like a double cheeseburger, fries and drink. Where else can you still get a full meal for less than $ 5??? And they’re good sized and delicious. They also have a wide selection of items on their menu from Philly Cheesesteak to Asian food. A lot of choices for sides too. Great neighborhood business that I always stop by for lunch when I’m in town. Only negative is the small parking lot.

Good burger. Has everything you want in a good burger joint. Possibly has the best onion rings ever. Really good Philly too Little Holand, Marry’s Bistro Burger and Allstar are probably in a three way tie for Tacoma’s best Burger. Just depends on the day. Parking is tight, so try to park inside your spot
