Amvets is amazing. If your looking for a great place with excellent food, fantastic live music, and the most down to earth honest crowd, Amvets is the place for you. I personally love the bar tenders. They have been there for years and they are super cool. Plus they know how to pour a good stiff drink. If your looking for karaōke, stop by on Saturday night and rock out. When your all sung out, you can take a break and go downstairs for Bingo. If that’s not your game try throwing some darts or playing free pool. Yes, that’s right FREE POOL!!! AMVETS ROCKS!!!

I did my work-​study here when I was working on my undergraduate and graduate degrees from early 2005 to early 2006. I learned a lot about American patriotism and helping veterans, especially from the veterans who came to this post who served during WWII, the Korean War, and Vietnam.
Aesthetically, this place hasn’t changed much, but in a lot of ways it has. Time has changed and a lot of veterans of my generation or even the general public aren’t aware of how important this place is to these older generation of GIs and their families. I have to admit I don’t come here often, but I will be changing that.
If you want to really thank a veteran for their service, support this or any service office any way you can.

Excellent service office, best in the state. Combine this with a bingo lounge, rental halls, trustees and executives that are in touch with what members want and you wind up with a first class organization. The members lounge is awesome, with events scheduled throughout the month, from music to raffles to inexpensive drinks. Excellent bar staff, clean bathrooms, dance floor, pool tables, smoking and drinking deck. The members here are friendly, welcome newbies, encourage participation.
