The most positive learning experience of my life! The teaching style makes it fun. You get nothing but encouragement and each lesson makes me a better dancer. Emulating Tacoma AM positive style made me a better elementary teacher. Forget the boring gym. This is the best exercise to keep memory sharp too!

Tacoma Arthur Murray opened my eyes to the dance world. I started off with simple dance lesson and have been hooked ever since. Give it a try, and you won’t be disappointed!

We love our dance dates!
I’m the uncoordinated one. The closest I’ve ever gotten to a choreographed dance step was in a Zumba class and I was the one going left while everyone else when right. On the other hand my fiancé is an athlete and picks up on things so fast!
Getting ready to go to our first private lesson was a little nerve-​racking because neither one of us had ever done anything like this before. When we arrived we were greeted by TJ, she is awesome! She guided us through a very comfy consultation where we talked about what our dancing goals were, we explained wanted to look like princesses effortlessly dancing across the dance floor on our wedding day and she told us how they could get us there. TJ paired us up with Angel; her upbeat personality and energy was exactly what we needed. I couldn’t believe we were already dancing! The connection my partner and I had between each other while we were learning was a feeling we will never forget. We left laughing and talking about all of our moves and how we couldn’t wait to come back!
Next, we had our group lesson. Oh boy, we’re going to dance with other people?! This was really going to test our dance confidence! We had Casey as our instructor; his nurturing personality and ability to really break down the steps had us spinning and rock stepping all over the place!
Overall this is the place you want to go if you’re looking for great, phenomenal, amazing, fabulous people to teach you something new or perfect an old talent! Dancing is fun and even if you think you can’t do it, you can, you learn and get better every time! We completed our 9^th lesson tonight and just want to thank everyone at Arthur Murray! We will keep spreading the word and continue dance with you
Oh and they have all of these fun dance events, complimentary coffee, nice décor, parking is easy, private dance rooms, a bigger dance floor under some cute lanterns and lights… Nice and classy

We began our dance lessons about one month prior to the wedding. Marlena was so kind and welcoming from the very beginning. We really didn’t know what we wanted but after listening to our first dance song, she was able to teach us some great steps to «blow the crowd away». We got a lot of applause at our wedding and many people were excited to see a choreographed first dance. My dad and I also took lessons for our father/​daughter song and that was a hit as well. We did not know what to expect but Marlena made every dance lesson a very comfortable and casual experience, while also successfully teaching us everything we needed to learn.

I brought eight friends of mine to a dance party I arranged with Arthur Murray. They provided dance partners for those who were without. Within minutes we were all learning to dance, and within an hour we were confidently having fun with our new skills. A few couples said they would make arrangements to come back on their own. This novel idea for a party went great. It was a real treat for everybody. Need some liquid courage? Just work with them ahead of time for a liquor license. They were very helpful in making arrangements to meet my schedule and needs.

We signed up for lesson so we could dance at our son’s wedding. All the instructors were outgoing and made us feel at ease. We had a great experience and would recommend this studio to everyone.
