Avery on Pearl

Avery on Pearl is a new wonderful place for anyone to live in. it is managed by a new awesome manager name Gina, she is great at what she does and so so nice.

I have lived in my same apartment for years, I was ready to move when my lease was up, until the new management took over. I was tired of cars being parked in the same spot, the office staff being rude and unhelpful… the list goes on. I love the new office staff. The aprtments have greatly changed with the new manager, I dont rember her name she has long black hair. The old sitting cars were towed away, the place is cleaned up. I see the manager out with a note pad walking around every day making sure its clean and taken care of. I am going to lease a newly renovated apartment once it’s ready it is beautiful!!! Hardwood floors, new appliances, feel safe, and love the look of my future new place! It’s nice to be able to count on the place you live to be kept up. I have always love the area, it has the north end feel, and it’s easy access to the freeways. I am thrilled with all the changes!

This complex isn’t uninhabitable. As long as you make it cozy and clean everyday. However, as much of a neat freak as I am there’s only so much you can do with out dated appliances and fixtures. When I moved in the carpet was completely wet and I had to wait a few extra days for it to dry. Prolonging my moving process and truck rental. Cabinets were completely cracked and repainted several times. Windows had mold and let cold air in all the time. Washers damaged my clothes and dryers took three to four cycles to actually dry my clothes causing utility bill to run high. Walls are paper thin could hear the noisy neighbors all the time. When I called maintenance in a few occasions to fix the leaking washer he used MY towels to clean the mess! And then left the dirty towels in the bath tub! Fridge broke one night leaving everything including my breastmilk to completely get ruined! Called emergency maintenance and he told me it wasn’t an emergency. Throwing away all of your food and packages of milk IS an emergency… I paid to have a parking spot but there was always someone parking in my lot! I complained to management several times but they gave me a towing number which wouldn’t do anything without management approval! Leaving me to hike with a newborn in the middle of the night in a complex where there was always some sketchy activity. My husband was trying to go to work one day only to be barricaded in the stairwell by a crazy guy who just robbed a store across the street with three cops and management outside. Why he was in our stairwell? Apparently he USED to live there which would explain why he banged on our door every month. When I asked management about it they reassured me that he was not allowed on the premises and I was to inform the police if I saw him. Ordered a gift for my husband which got delivered to the office– when I came to pick it up discovered someone else signed for it and took it! Gave them my rent check two weeks early but because it was an expired checkbook it didn’t go through– keep in mind 2 weeks early I corrected the problem days in advance before the rent was due but was still punished with a fee and ordered to make cashiers checks after that, which cost a fee to do every time. Ended up writing a complaint to Conam about everything and started noticing staff changes. Positives about this place? It’s live able. Good location. Not run down to the ground as long as you tune out the loud music, sketchy activity outside, and overflowing garbage. FYI– I lived here from 03 – 2013 thru 09 – 2014.

This place really sucks to live. I mean between the crack heads and drug dealers in the parking lot you also have to deal with car alarms going off at 12 at night for hours on end. The neighbors are always yelling all day and all night with cops over all the time almost every single day. Most of the shelves were put in wrong in our cabnets and the pegs broke because they were in upside down and broke almost all of our plates and bowls. They did end up giving us a gift card to cover the damage but it took 4 months to get it and many calls to the office. A few of the times they said that someone was on the way to get it as we were talking to them and ither times they said it was in the mail. We also have to pay for garbage now which does not make much sense since they let the trash bins over flow for about 2 weeks till they do something about it. The only plus here is the people. The office people are very nice and always trying to help out.
