My wife and I have eaten here twice in last month and both times the food was excellent. The service is great and atmosphere is nice and quiet. Prices are very reasonable and we would highly recommend this restaurant to be one that you frequent regularly.

This place is great. My boyfriend and I have eaten here twice and enjoyed both times. He usually gets pancakes and I get the hobo hash.
Dinning area is comfortable and casual ambiance. We like that majority of the people who go there are older couples. It’s cute to see them and since it’s not filled with teens, the ambiance is more relaxed and noise level is never a problem.

This is one of those «Great Old Fashioned» restaurants that one can barely find anymore! The food, service and home away from home feel far surpasses the chain restaurants! A must eat diner!

The food and service here are consistently good. I have been coming here four years, always on a Wednesday night.
The burgers are filling and very tasty. The food comes out pretty quickly and the servers all know the menu very well.
Overall this is a good place to grab a bite. It’s a bit bigger than expected inside and on Wednesday evenings at dinner time the diners are mostly retired folks that are clearly regulars, so it’s nice and quiet and comfortable inside.

In the past we have dined here and had good food. I used to get the country fried steak… Two large, golden pieces of steak that looked like they were fresh out of your grandma’s kitchen with good gravy.
Today I got the chicken fried steak and it was an oblong, dark piece of mystery meat, with no texture, soggy, tasteless with bland gravy. I think it came from a frozen TV dinner. So disappointed. Won’t be back.

Me and my significant other travel and eat out quite frequently. I’ve never done a single review on a diner or restaurant before but I do read them before I want to visit a place. This place was so bad that I even downloaded Unilocal app just to help others like me. First thing as you walk in, you’ll smell old deep fryer oil and you will also leave with that smell soaked into your clothes and hair. Gross! You will need to shower and wash your clothes. I ordered 2 eggs and their fried potatoes for breakfast and I could not even eat half of it without having that gross old oil taste sitting in the back of my mouth. Eggs were alright, pancakes weren’t bad. The ceiling looked like the roof has been leaking for years, old yellow stains all over. Not to mention you will need to visit the bathroom (if you know what I mean) pretty much immediately after consuming their food. I really hate leaving feedbacks but this one deserves every word I said. Sorry guys, this is a ‘Never coming back place’ unless somehow a miracle happens. Hope this helps someone in the future. This was some of the worst food I’ve gotten at any restaurant… ever. The meat in the Monte Cristo omlette was old, dry and on the verge of becoming rancid. The egg was like boot leather. Ugghhh. After a few bites, I realized something was amiss and it gave me a queasy feeling in my stomach for 8 hours afterwards.
The chicken fried steak was an odd, 8 in. oblong shaped piece of tough mystery meat with tastless gravy. Yuck. All the regulars must not get sick because their digestive systems are use to this slop. I know I’ll never eat there again. I’ve had the hobo hash here before and it wasn’t bad but this food was absolutely horrible. –5 stars.

Never had any issues at this place. Service is always great & food is exceptional! We go every weekend!

I used to go here with my family as a teenager and it is a comfortable family feel. I love that, but the food is pretty lame. If you want a nice quiet meal and great coffee then come on down!

This is a very decent option for breakfast. The place is a little worn but I believe that just adds to the charm. Ordered a breakfast croissant with hashbrowns. The sandwich was pretty dang big and loaded with scrambled egg, smoked ham and American cheese. The croissant was soft and buttery. The browns were cooked decently and were satisfying. The service was friendly and it was a work lunch, we were never hurried. This place met my expectations and I would happily return.

I’ve eaten here 2x for dinner, and picked up an order to go-​soup… Not impressed. In fact very disappointed. Food doesn’t have much flavor in my opinion and is pretty bland. Haven’t tried their breakfast but after 3 different visits the last few years I don’t think I will bother… Enough other places around that I know are better.

We ate here a few years ago, and to this day can’t figure out how they stay open. The food has no flavor, the place is grungy, and the service sucks.

Pretty decent food. Great as diners go. The menu is huge with interesting choices. I wasn’t really expecting much though.

Monte Cristo omelet was cheesy goodness and the farmers hobo hash was delicious too! Great breakfast spot!

Love stopping here with the family for some great homemade biscuits and gravy. The staff is always friendly even when they are really busy which is nice. Good portions, if you have never been you should check it out.

B+. This is more 3.5 stars. I’d give it four if they replaced the stained and battered ceiling tiles. The food is fine. It’s typical american fare that you’d find in any good little café. The broccoli soup was exceptional. I had lunch, not breakfast, and if you notice most of the complaints are on breakfast. It’s possible that that’s why my experience was pretty good! My waitress was a sweetheart and everything was perfect. I was shocked to see actual toast as garlic toast though– I’ve gotten so used to «garlic toast» meaning a baguette or something. It was a really nice surprise and I’ve missed actual garlic toast in restaurants. I did look around for silverfish, as someone in a not-​too-​long-​ago review stated they got them in their salad (icky!) and I didn’t see any so they may have had an exterminator in, or those silverfish may have come from an outside source.
Over all, it’s a good place to get some chow. Don’t expect green chile everything here, or jalapeño this or that. And for that, I’m very very thankful. It’s nice to just have pure plain american food now and then too, and this place serves it up hot and fresh. It could really use a facelift though. You don’t have to change the set up because it’s a good set up. But refreshing the carpet and the ceiling tiles would be a great idea.

Food is not amazing but not horrible. The shakes are more of a smoothy taste. Pancakes taste like the ones you make at home. Biscuits and Gravy was good. Hobo hash was good but would be better if the potatoes were more tender.

In the last 2 years I’ve lived here, I have driven passed this restaurant almost on the daily and have finally been in for breakfast! I have been craving for pancakes, so I got their pancake special which came with eggs of choice and bacon or sausage. Their pancakes came in 4 and were big and fluffy. I also had a hot chocolate topped high with whip cream. They also give you one free refill with the hot chocolate. By the end of my meal, I was STUFFED and literally went home and took a nap.
Pretty good food and good service. I like that the waitress doesn’t hover by the table, but wish she came to at least to see if our food was good or needed anything. Would love to come back to try their lunch/​dinner menu!
