Dr. Knight and his staff continuously aim to stay on the cutting edge of technology and offer a full range of treatment options from traditional, time-​proven metal braces to the latest innovative treatments like clear braces and Invisalign. We know that each patient’s needs are different and our office is fully equipped to provide our patients with the personalized care that he or she requires. For example, our adult treatments are carefully coordinated with a team of dentists in order to help us achieve the best results for each adult patient.

History

Established in 1995.

After receiving a Masters Degree from the Univeristy of Washington’s Department of Orthodontics in 1995, Dr. Knight has maintained his private orthodontic practice in Tacoma, WA.

Business Owner

Dr. Douglas J. Knight grew up in Auburn, and received his B.A. in Biology from Pacific Lutheran University; graduating Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Knight graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1990, where he ranked second in his class. He was in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society all four years. Dr. Knight completed a one-​year General Practice Residency at the V.A. Hospital in La Jolla, California and then returned to the northwest to practice as a restorative dentist for two years before returning to the University of Washington to achieve his Master’s Degree from the Department of Orthodontics in 1995.

Dr. Knight is an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Washington and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists.
