Krista Nerland at Dolce Salon Tacoma

Krista is an amazingly talented hair stylist. I have been going to her for all my hair needs for more than 3 years now, and will never let anyone else cut, color, and style my hair. Her coloring is always exactly what I want every time, even when I do variations to the coloring she understands exactly what I’m saying and can execute it flawlessly! Aside from color she is a brazilian blowout tech also. My hair has always been kind of a pain in the straightening department because I have naturally curly, fine hair, but the blowout makes my hair behave exactly the way I have always wanted it to and lasts 3 months if not more! I just hop out of the shower and blow dry and it behaves amazingly! I will never go anywhere else to have my hair done, Krista is a GENIUS!

Listen, I have been to hairstylists all over the west coast, and I fly home, to Tacoma, to have Krista color my hair. There is no one who can do blonde as bright, cool, and gorgeous as hers. I have long, thick, blonde hair, and she is an absolute genius. My mom and sister now see her regularly and swear by her, as well– we call her our «Magical blonde pixie.» My mom and sister also have INSANELY curly hair, and are addicted to her brazilian blowouts. I mean, I have tried to flat iron my little sister’s crazy hair more times than I can count, but you can never get it really straight, especially at the roots. Her blowout makes it lay pin straight, smooth, and healthy looking. My mom has been trying to straighten her hair for MANY decades– and now has the exact hair she’s always wanted because of Krista.
After three different, expensive salons in Phoenix, Chandler and Scottsdale, AZ, I give up. I will spend the extra money to get to WA because Krista makes my hair look AMAZING.
The salon itself is chic, friendly, and a cool space downtown. I used to go to Brassfields, and many of the employees at Dolce used to work there, so you know these are HIGHLY skilled and very talented.
Thanks Krista, I love you! I would send you more referrals (because people constantly compliment me on my color and cut, and ask where I got it done), but people balk at the plane ticket. Pfft.

I was referred by a friend for a haircut by Krista. I was able to schedule a cut and highlights within a couple of days of calling. The cut and highlights I received from Krista were perfect! She corrected the awful cut I got previously and my highlights added the warmth I was looking for. Her suggestions were spot on and I’ll definitely be back!
