Wow, this place may be an institution… but it sure is filthy inside. When was the last time they even cleaned the soda dispenser? Take a look at that old dirty grease covered thing next time you go thru the drive thru… it’s disgusting. Everything in that place is covered in a thick paste of grease, grime and dirt. Clean that place up. Have some respect for yourself and clean it up.

This place has been here as long as my 23 year old life can remember, always felt a little sketchy due to location. However it is delicious ! 2 chicken philly meals for $ 16 ! However the Philly had a creamy consistency like Kraft American cheese was used BUT it was fucking good, I’ll ask for provolone next time could’ve been because it was chicken & not original. I’ll be back !!!

A Hilltop Tacoma institution, Legendz is a mainstay in a community with many changes. Over the course of the past 20 years, they been the constant community location for good burgers and food, for that matter. Having been called Fantastic Burgers in the last, Legendz have worked hard to keep the quality high and the burgers tasting homemade! I don’t get anything too fancy — just a good old single or double if I had a particularly crappy day. The service is wonderful and the folks working there are very polite and attentive. Be aware that your order may take longer than usual to be prepared. I just look at it as they are taking their time in giving me a great burger. Take my advice and go there to eat. You won’t regret it.

Philly cheesesteak is a must get. Very affordable and a place to go to get something quick if you are trying to avoid McDonald’s or Burger King.

I had a mushroom philly cheese steak and I must say it was better than I expected. When ever I drove past this place I didn’t think it was a good place to go to. Don’t judge a book by its cover. This place ended up being delicious. So I say go try it out. :)

We ordered the Philly Cheese Steaks. They were good. In fact, they were really really good, so good that my wife had to call back when we were done eating and tell them how truly good the cheese steaks are. The steak, cheese and grilled onions are just simply the perfect combo, and for $ 6, it’s cheap! This is the only cheese steak I’ve had in Tacoma, but this is stiff competition. That’s it, a really damn good thing I just ate for lunch. 4 stars and not 5 because the place is a little grubby, but heck, worth it.

This unassuming place off sprague ave is absolutely delicious! We utilized the drive thru and ordered 3 philly cheese steaks and crinkle cut fries. Every thing we ordered was incredible! The large amount of meat they pack into each soft and crunch roll is savory, juicy and tender. The provolone and onions give the creamy element that is umami 100%! Mmmm

I’m from South Philly. Home of the original Cheesesteak. Not to say a Legendz cheesesteak is bad. It isn’t. Just different. Regional. Like a cousin from Alabama with a southern accent. Or in this case, a PNW weirdo. But their Gyro is worth a mention. The beef one is on point.

I ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich and a chocolate milkshake. It took about 5 – 6 minutes and the wait was worth it. The sandwich was the best Philly cheese steak i have ever had. It had the perfect amount of cheese, and the peppers and steak was amazing. The milkshake was nothing special but still a good shake. The total was less than $ 9 and i would of payed double for the sandwich.

I really really really enjoyed every single bite of my mushroom Philly cheesesteak. I’ve been craving it ever since that day. Perfect amount of veggies inside. Amazing seasoning, nice soft roll, no fatty meat, and just the perfect amount of mayo to bring it all together. Need more! Soon!

Sometimes a big greasy burger is worth it. Shrimp and chips were good, and the double cheese and shake was old school drive thru worthy. Nothing spectacular but at least we didn’t have to wait in a huge line down the street at frisco freeze. Lol.

I went here a few weeks ago. That was a mistake. I got a burger, onion rings, and a chocolate milkshake. Being the only car in line, the wait was 25 minutes. When I got to my office and started eating, the hamburger patty was very thin and the meat was still pink. I was done with the burger once I saw that. The onion rings were ok, pretty much what you would be out of any bag from the grocery store. I think the chocolate shake is what confused me the most though… I didn’t pay attention when I grabbed it because I needed to get back to work. I noticed it was a strange off white color, I assumed they misheard me and gave me a vanilla shake, which it basically was. Vanilla with a hint of chocolate. I really had high hopes for this little stand.

We’ve ordered from here a couple of times and generally have had a good experience. First things first, if you are short on time, this is NOT a good idea for you as they don’t cook your food until you order it. This means, no burger patties already cooked sitting in a tub waiting to be made into a sandwich and no shrimp bits sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be chowed down. Even though they have a drive up window, it is not a Drive Through like McDonald’s or Burger King. It takes time to cook food, so if you have a 30 minute lunch break, you are going to want to either call ahead or go somewhere else. They also have a few tables set up outside if you want to «dine in» and the weather agrees with you. I typically get the Philly Cheese Steak and am quite fond of it. A few other places in town tend to slather em in so much grease that the bread is soggy by the time you get home. This one has just enough to honor the Philly Cheese Steak ideal, but not so much your bread tries to sog out on you. My husband said the gyros were pretty good– not good enough to write home about, but pretty good. Our son likes the fish and shrimp and he can be a picky eater sometimes. The only complaint I really have is that they like to cram the cups full of ice and then don’t even fill them all the way up. In other words, you are paying for ice, and a cup — not a soda. We haven’t had to special order anything(ie hold the peppers, or add cheese, etc.) so I have no idea how they are in that department. Overall, if you have the time(15 – 20 minutes depending on how long the line is), it’s a good eat for the price as long as you ask for no ice in your drink.

We went there on a Saturday night. The town was pretty deserted because it was pouring rain. Three cars were in front of us in the drive through. As we were coming in the third car backed out and left. We understood too late why they had left the waiting line. It took forever to go through the line. We had already ordered our food(2 Philly cheese-steak sandwiches and a chicken sandwich) so decided to wait but if we had known we would have to wait so long we would have gone somewhere else. Well no we couldn’t have gone anywhere because someone was right behind us and no way to escape. We probably waited 20 to 25 minutes for our food. Paid the price and left. The sandwiches were a bit dry but tasted good. Later when I got my bank statement I saw that they charged us $ 2 extra that what the amount on the receipt said. They never asked if we wanted to leave a tip and there was no line for a tip anyways. We are never going there again! Bad customer service!

This place caught my eye since I was going to the coffee shop next door. It said they had gyros so I figured trying them out now would be just as good as time as any. I saw that they had gyros so I went ahead and got one. The gyro was ok, not amazing but ok. I noticed that some strips of meat on the gyro looked burnt but it did not influence the flavor. All in all it was ok. Not as good as those little mom and pop Greek places though. The fries I had were ok too, real greasy as you come to expect from a greasy spoon. Not too terribly inspiring though. Legendz has good meal deals that are inexpensive and though I was not really enthralled by the eating experience here nothing was extremely off putting about it. It just seemed uninspired. If you are in a rush though this place may come in handy since it is a drive up and the service is relatively quick.

So much has been said in other reviews that holds true: undercooked fries. The orders will be messed up(hint: a plain kid’s hamburger does not have mayo, mustard, ketchup, onions, AND pickles on it — we had to toss it and make a sandwich at home.) You will wait in the line for a long time. Go ahead, turn your car ignition off. What they do well is make a really decent drive-thru burger. It’s hot, it’s tasty, and it’s got all of the right markers of a regrettable food decision. Just don’t expect any kind of substitutions or subtractions from what they think should be on your burger. At least Dick’s is upfront that they won’t subtract or make substitutions. A solid burger, not a lot else to rave about here. At least when the name was Fantastic Burger there was a ring of truth.

I was disappointed. I ordered the Philly cheese steak with no onions, no peppers. I asked specifically for just meat and cheese on it. When I got home, guess what… onions and peppers. If it would have come the way I asked for it, I would have rated it between a 3 – 4. The fries where good. Hot and fresh. My only other complaint is that they didn’t give me any ketchup or ask if I wanted any. Probably won’t go back.

So I’ve eaten here and the other greek place down the street. And in comparison, this one is my choice as the better of the two. I ordered the beef/lamb gyro, fries, and a soda. $ 8.75 I think. Not expensive, not super cheap, but cost to portion size was really good. The amount of food was great considering I got 3 things. The fries, were hot, and shoe string, reminiscent of In and Out but obviously not. Gyro was big and meaty, good sauce and vegetables. Enjoyed the cucumber and onion. Overall a good meal and I would go here over the other place, given the choice.
