Morrell’s @ Stadium Dry Cleaners

good dry cleaners. Do a really good job with the shirts. My only complaint is when I took my pants to have the zipper fixed and parts of the pants stitched. They did not do it correctly the first time and took a long time when I brought it back. Otherwise for basic dry cleaning they do a consistent good job.

Pants came out smelling of mildew. One pair of pants had a small burn mark in the leg.
2^nd set of clothes smelled bad also.

Not particularly fast and kind of pricey. I go to them when I need something dry cleaned because they are in the neighborhood.

In addition to the bad experience with them, just weeks later the hemming on my pants that they did started coming out. I’m sure they’re fine for dry cleaning, just don’t come here for alterations or decent customer service.

Good dry cleaners that I have been using for 7 months. I tried the delivery and pick up service but it was kind of unreliable so I just drop it off and pick it up myself.

I got a jacket cleaned. It was very pricey and came back with my hair still on it, oh, and a feather. What?
My fiancé had his suit jacket cleaned and a stain on it hadn’t been taken out, but we were still charged for their «work.»
I’m not sure if I have never been to a good dry cleaners, or they all suck, honestly. I need to stop buying dry clean only!

I brought in a ballgown to have the strap taken in, jeans to be hemmed, and two tank tops to be taken in at the straps as well. The seamstress was gone at the time, but the lady there said she could take it for me as I’d already marked where I wanted everything to go in at. I asked for an estimate and she said about $ 30 for everything. Well, I go and pick it up and once again the seamstress isn’t there and it’s a $ 50 tab. It was the same lady so I mentioned that she said it’d be only around $ 30. I felt like she should’ve given us some discount because of the $ 20 difference and although I realize it was only an estimate that seems an unfair difference. If she would’ve said $ 40 or $ 45 I would’ve been more okay with the $ 50 but then again I would’ve taken it somewhere else too. Overall I wasn’t pleased with the customer service. For future customers, make sure the seamstress is there and get an accurate estimate before getting things done there. And it is expensive.

Pros: They tag your clothes with a bar code sticker, and don’t write on your clothing with sharpie or drill plastic tag hangers through your coat tags. They have never missed a beat on my clothing.
Cons: A bit expensive and not particularly fast, unless you ask for a quick turnaround.

My Dry Cleaner in Tacoma. Totally gonna miss you guys…

I went to Morrell’s because they had a Living Social deal. I had never been there, but wanted to try it. I’ve been living in Tacoma for ten years now and have yet to find a dry cleaner that I really love. I’m still looking… unfortunately.
Morrell’s did a really good job of cleaning my items, but the customer service was far less than satisfactory. The younger woman at the counter was not particularly friendly and did not really appear to be happy to have me as a new customer. She was short with me and not forthcoming with information. I’ve been in sales and customer service for over 25 years and one thing I’ve learned is that to keep a NEW customer, you want to be sure to treat them right from the beginning.
Since she didn’t, I won’t be going back. At first I thought it was a fluke or she was having a bad day, but when I came back to pick everything up, she treated me the same way that day too. It’s too bad she is serving the customers, instead of the woman older than her (owner?) who walked in while I was dropping off my items to be cleaned. That woman was friendly and gave me a big hello as she walked by. Bring her to the counter!
Morrell’s uses email to communicate with you when your order is ready. I wrote my email down on the form they provided when I dropped everything off. I never got an email to let me know that my items were ready (OR a phone call). When I went to pick up my cleaning (over a week later), I asked about it, since I hadn’t been notified that my items were ready. The same young woman helped me and when she looked up my email, she found that it had been inputted incorrectly into their computer. No apology for that, I might add. Or any other sort of apology… or acknowledgment that it might have been a mistake.
I have more details to how mediocre my customer service was… but no more time to do so. Suffice to say, I will be taking my dry cleaning biz elsewhere.

Soooo…I bought a Kate Spade dress at the outlet mall. Hm. I never buy stuff like this. It is pricey, for me. I hardly do pricey. It is red. I never wear red. But wait, the plot thickens…
I had said dress still in the shopping bag, along with a pair of pants, both with the tags attached. When would I unwrap my treasures and use them? *rubs hands*
I went to get the dress out… and a cat had pee’d in the bag. On the pants. Which bled on the dress.
Wah!
Morrell’s was able to salvage the pants, and they did the best they could by my pretty, red dress. They had been very meticulous, showing me the extent of the damage and explaining what they could and couldn’t do. They didn’t charge me for my dress, because they couldn’t get all the stains out… but they sure did try!
I really appreciated the time and care they took with their work and with me — a woman fated to remain in black no matter what.
No cats were harmed in the production of this review.

Rude staff. Rude policies. I haven’t even picked up my first and last order yet. So I have no idea if the quality is any good or not. I dropped off 9 shirts on a Saturday. They asked if Wednesday was soon enough. Sure I said. But I had a busy week and was not able to pick it up. I figured I’d go by on saturday. On friday they sent me an email asking me to pick up my order as soon as possible so that it would clear space for other orders. Wow, talk about getting the bums rush. To me that clearly says that they don’t value customers.
The other thing that was weird was when I dropped the order off, the clerk took my info and walked away. No thank you, no nuthin. So I asked, «shouldn’t I get a claim ticket?» «No», said the dower, impatient clerk. «We just need your last name.» Well, I thought, what if I came back and they lost the order? Things like that happen. I would have no proof. By that time I was a block away from the store. So I went back. I walked into the store and gave the same clerk a totally fictitious name. She didn’t even look up. She immediately started to look up any orders under that name.
Well, couldn’t believe it.
I don’t know why anybody does repeat business with them. I won’t.

This is a dry cleaner located near the Thriftway. Overall, I have been very satisfied with the work they do. My clothes are always well pressed with crisp lines and done on time. The staff is polite. I had one pair of pants I asked them to re-​hem because of an issue I had with the work, and they did it over again for no charge. My only complaint is that they are a tad more expensive than other dry cleaners, but they are conveniently located for me.
They send coupons so give them your e-​mail. They send them pretty infrequently, and the ones I have gotten, I haven’t been able to use (like the coupon for blankets).

Great little shop to drop off your dry cleaning. I’ve brought many items here and never had a problem. They send out ‘insider’ coupons by email if you like that sort of thing. There’s a few dedicated parking spots on the backside in the thriftway lot. I will definetly continue my business here!
