Step By Step Music is a music education company providing customized private music lessons both at home and online. I specialize in teaching private lessons in music theory, piano, guitar, upright bass, and electric bass. I teach all ages, from children to adults, and all abilities, from beginner to advanced. For your convenience, I also offer lessons online via Skype at a very competitive rate.

Music is simple to learn when approached using a step-​by-​step method. We have a knack for breaking down the mysteries of reading, playing, and understanding music into simple, easy to manage steps. You will always be challenged, but never feel overwhelmed. That’s our promise to you.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

First and foremost, I am a bassist and a composer. I have composed and performed in genres including Rock, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Swing, Big Band, Small Ensemble, and Orchestral. I also spent many years studying piano, guitar, and drums.

I have been playing guitar and bass since 1996. In 2000 I went to the world-​renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston where I continued to study bass and earned a Bachelor’s of Music in Film Scoring. At Berklee I learned the fine art of composition, advanced jazz theory and classical harmony.

We’ll discuss your goals and then work towards achieving them at a comfortable pace. Some students want to discover the magic of music theory, and some just want to learn songs. These lessons are all about YOU!

I truly love teaching music. I will be your biggest advocate and support all of your musical endeavors.
