While the experience was fun, I thought we would get to do more hands on with the glass. Our instructor was very nice but did most of the work herself. I looked around at the other instructor we was next to us and his students got to do way more hands on work with the glass. I chose to make large votive holder because I thought it would be something I would use. We picked patterns for the glass piece and what I chose would have made the piece a really nice votive holder. What I got isn’t even close. Am thinking I’ll try some glass blowing studio in Seattle and see if it’s different and you get to actually participate and not just watch

I first learned of TGS about a little over a year ago. Since then I have done four glassblowing experiences including a hummingbird feeder, two ornament workshops, and one pumpkin workshop. The shop staff and artists are wonderful and the service is excellent, which is why I keep going back. Every time I go I learn something new, and get a beautiful piece of glass art. The $ 65 glassblowing experience is a wonderful introduction to what they offer and there are a lot of choices of what you can make during that experience. I love the workshops because you can try so many different patterns and basic techniques in one go. If you are looking to try something new, give TGS a look — I have been nothing but thrilled with my experiences here.

My wife and I took part in the $ 65 glass blowing experience to celebrate her birthday. It was an incredible experience! We had a great time and it was certainly worth our money. As we were there to celebrate her birthday, the excellent glassblower said that he was going to make her a little something extra in honor of her special day. Using the left over materials from our original project, he created this wonderful figurine and even placed my wife’s initials on it with a stamp. We were so incredibly impressed by the sentiment and thought that this bonus figurine was an excellent«above and beyond» bonus to our glass blowing experience. Definitely celebrate any occasion with the TGS, you will not regret it!

I brought my mom here as a birthday gift. This was a first for the both of us and all I can say is that WEHAD A BLAST! The staff was friendly and wonderful. We enjoyed making our pieces and were sent away with a wonderful warm hug. We spend the rest of our day talking about what we’re going to do for our next pieces! Can’t wait to do this again — and I must say that it’ll be sooner than later! Thank you TGS for the wonderful experience!

My wife and I have now taken the $ 65 hour-long class twice. This place ROCKS! I am totally hooked. The instructors are patient and very helpful, the other staff is great and where else can you get a finished product that is so wonderful that it surely will become a family heirloom. To show just how cool this is, we took my Mom for Mother’s Day. She is 75 years old and afterwards she said that she wanted us to know that this was the BEST present she had EVER been given. You just HAVE to experience this. We are taking my Dad for Father’s Day!

I came in for a Groupon deal for their glass ornaments. I decided to come back with my teenage sister for the $ 65 class thinking we’d make our own simple glass ball. Actually, you get to choose from many different pieces, colors, and designs. You get one on one instruction and lots of hands on. The studio was clean and actually a comfortable temperature despite the thousands of degrees furnaces. Our instructor, Billy, made us feel totally comfortable and his personality made the experience extra fun. We picked up our pieces the next day, and WOW! I made a large candle holder/bowl and my sis made a large fluted vase. We had a great time, experienced something new, had quality time with my out of state sister, and got to take home a beautiful piece of functional artwork!

Tacoma Glassblowing Studio is awesome! I first learned of it about 2 weeks ago through my brother and made an appointment for my boyfriend and I to try it out! We showed up for our appointment and was greeted by the nicest lady who explained the whole process of the colors to us and helped with the set up, while we waited for our turn we were able to look around the studio and also watch while others did their sessions. We were taken back to meet our instructor Jake. He was awesome! He was filled with tons of information and was extreamly helpful! He was so talented and taught us quite a bit! all in all it was an amazing experience. The people who work here are really nice and have great service. On our way out we stopped and talked to the lady who helped us in the beggining and told her how much we loved it! We are even considering taking their 6 week course. On our way out she hugged us and invited us back again! If you are in the area, it is a great new experience to try and for only $ 65 totally worth it!
