At Tacoma SCUBA we take customers seriously. If you are looking for classes, looking to purchase equipment, need repairs, or simply want to talk about diving, you are welcome here.

Classes: We teach SCUBA diving through SDI, TDI, NAUI, and PADI. Classes are available from entry level through Technical diving and Instructor programs.

Brands: Bare, Halcyon, Mares, Aeris, Hollis, Oceanic, Apeks, Dive Rite, Seadive, UK, Whites, McNett, XS SCUBA, OMS, Fourth Element, Faber, Light and Motion, Benchmade, Shearwater, Momentum Watches, Spyderco, OTS, SI Tech, JBL and more.

Repairs: Tacoma SCUBA specializes in drysuit repair. We repair all brands of suits, and most repairs are done in house. We can service almost any brand of regulator, and can tumble/​clean cylinders in house.

History

Established in 2005.

Tacoma SCUBA was started to provide an alternative to the standard dive shop. Our philosophy is that SCUBA should be fun. We don’t use high pressure sales techniques, we don’t simply try to get folks to spend money. We try to ensure that everyone who walks through our doors gets the gear and training they need in order for SCUBA to be a safe activity. We further try to keep folks coming back for the fun with regularly scheduled shop dives, summer BBQ nights and various presentations that provide a great opportunity for divers new and old to socialize and to get in some water time.

Diving is supposed to be fun; I try to keep it that way. Through the years I’ve had my hand in recreational, technical, scientific and commercial diving. The common thread in all diving and between all divers, is an interest for the world below the waters surface. Some people dive for fun and others for profit, but I do my best to ensure everyone has a successful experience.

Personally, I enjoy diving whether it’s shallow to see pretty fishes, or deep expeditionary style dives. I need my equipment and supplies to be top quality, in great shape, and properly maintained. I endeavor to deal with my customer’s equipment the same way I deal with mine.
