Taylor-​Thomason Insurance Brokers assists their clients with risk involving property, liability, auto, equipment, medical, dental and other benefits. Self Insured programs are available for larger businesses.

History

Established in 1937.

We were previously named Tom Taylor Insurance Brokers but in 2009 our company managers merged titles and the name became Taylor-​Thomason Insurance Brokers. Tom and Steve have worked together for over 18 years. Our insurance agency has grown from a single family run business to two offices and now 15 employees. Our sister office in Puyallup is called AE Long Insurance. Our offices have combined insurance experience of over 50 years in this business.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Tom grew up in north Tacoma. His Father Tom Sr worked from home to grow the family business. Tom Jr began assisting with the business at age 14. During his tenure at the University of Washington Tom majored in Risk and Insurance. He spent his college summers meeting clients and entered the family business full time in 1965. He now has 49 years insurance experience.

«It’s been a great career,» he said. Tom is happy to help clients understand their insurance needs, to calm their financial concerns, and even more importantly, to help with any claims that might develop. Basically we are only selling peace of mind. To the extent that we can assure our clients they have the proper coverage at a proper price, he feels he’s met his goals and objectives. Tom is not a specialist in any one particular area of insurance but takes pride in being well versed on all insurance coverage. He helps clients analyze the risks they wish to insure, assume, or avoid.
