Specialties
Situated in the hub of Downtown Tacoma, the Pacific Ave. Melting Pot provides a casually elegant, intimate atmosphere. The relaxing 4 course experience begins with cheese fondue prepared tableside. Fresh salad follows while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of tantalizing meats, seafood, & vegetables. Each morsel is hot, fresh, & flavorful. Entrees are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces to add to the fun. Your choice of chocolate fondue is the grand finale, served with a variety of delicious dippers. Many have stopped by to satisfy that fondue craving after a concert at The T Dome, a visit to the nearby museums, or a family outing at the zoo.
We feature an extensive wine list, fresh trendy cocktails, & specialty martinis.
It’s the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, overdue date night, family night, or a group gathering!
History
Established in 1975.
Fondue is a fun and interactive dining experience — and for more than three decades, The first Melting Pot opened in April of 1975 in Maitland, Fla. — just outside of Orlando. It was a cozy, quaint location and its first menu consisted of just three items: Swiss cheese fondue, beef fondue and a chocolate fondue dessert. However, as the restaurant’s popularity expanded, so did its menu and ambiance. Mark Johnston, noticed the popularity boost and — with the help of his brothers — scraped together funding to open The Melting Pot of Tallahassee in 1979. Today, with more than 142 locations across 37 states and The District of Columbia and with more than 28 locations under development, The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc. is the country’s premier fondue restaurant franchise.
