We are grateful for the excellent service on our SubZero refrigerator this morning. He figured out the leakage problem, had the equipment to remedy it, and left us a clean, humming refrigerator and reasonable bill.

Was referred to Thompson Appliance Repair by Weir’s Appliances to repair our Viking convection microwave oven and Bosch dishwasher. First, they couldn’t get me on the schedule for 7 days and then I was told the service call would be $ 119.00 for 1st appliance and $ 65 for the second for the first 15 minutes and then $ 2 a minute after that!!! WHOA! On top of that they require a credit card to be «on file» before they make the appointment. Hmmmm… called around and found other repair shops for both appliances that charge half that for the service call, the fee is applied towards the cost of the repair, didn’t need a credit card«on file» and was able to get me scheduled within 4 days! After reading the other reviews it makes me wonder what Weir’s get for their referrals to Thompson’s! Needless to say we won’t be using them.

I purchased a new stove top and dishwasher from a local retailer. They referred Thompson Appliance to do the install. We were replacing an old thermador stove top and they did an awesome job. They even installed a dishwasher that I was planning to do myself. I was a little nervous as Thanksgiving is just a day away and with 35 people coming we would be sunk if they didn’t deliver. They did the job for the price that they quoted and cleaned up when they left. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks for making it happen!

We have just finished remodeling our kitchen, and we had our contractor install our Samsung fridge, Zephyr hood fan, Kitchen Aid Double Wall Oven, and 2 Fisher & Paykel Cool Drawers, and his plumber installed our Miele dishwasher, garbage disposal and Fisher & Paykel gas cooktop. We had some concern about the installations of our appliance so we called Thompson Appliance & Svc. to double check the installations. Mike and Brandon arrived on time, came in the laundry room door laid down protective pads on floor and carpet areas and took there shoes off. They leveled our fridge and dishwasher and made sure everything worked correctly and explained what they were doing and how certain features worked on our appliances. They corrected a problem with our dishwasher and moved our garbage disposal button. Removed all inside plastic from our ovens. They cleaned all the stainless steel appliances, answered all our questions, asked if they need to remove any packing material the appliances came in. They were fast, efficient, courteous, and very knowledgeable about all our appliances. Will use them for any appliance problems in the future and we highly recommend them.

6 weeks without a working dishwasher! One of the sprayer arms stopped working and they scheduled us 2 weeks out originally. Then, the first appointment was a «diagnostic appointment» and it was another 2 weeks to have the part then schedule the repair! The dishwasher is still not working since there is another broken sprayer arm which was not originally«diagnosed.» When we called Thompson one week ago, they told us they would call and have the part this week with our personal diagnosis of the second broken sprayer arm. We had to call them today and they told us «no, they did not order the part and they need to do another diagnostic appointment!» Ridiculous! We are calling Weir’s this morning and let them know too since they recommended this company!

Had an issue with my Thermador oven: every time I set it to bake at any temperature, it would automatically turn off — the oven wouldn’t turn on, wouldn’t heat, nothing. I called around to several places, many did not service Thermador. Was told by Weir’s to contact Thompson Appliance, as they did service Thermador. Through the contact form on their website, I sent an email — it took a few days for them to reply because apparently my form submission ended up in their Spam inbox. After fully explaining the issue I was having, we setup an appointment for it to be serviced, Thursday the 17th, between 9 am and 1 pm. I’m a small business owner, no employees, so I can’t be at my office now, mind you. At around 12:10 pm, the repairman shows up. I walk him back to the oven in my kitchen, he does PRECISELYWHAT I HAVETOLDTHEMTHEPROBLEMWAS, says the clock is malfunctioning, and he needs to go research the part and its availability, and writes me up a service call for $ 95 plus tax. WAIT A FREAKINGMINUTE. Two minutes, you did nothing other than what I already did and described as the problem, and now you have to go research to see if the part is available and it is going to cost me $ 95!?! I told you this in the email and over the phone — it is even written at the top of the form, so they understood this. I set up an appointment with the expectation you would fix it — not have me sit in my house, away from work, for three hours for you to come in and do what I already said was the problem, say we’ll need a new clock, and charge me $ 95. Seems to me one simple followup question over the phone — «Does it sound like their is a tick or click from near the clock panel?» and we could have clearly identified the problem. Most companies don’t charge for service calls that last less than five minutes. Thompson does, so beware — because they may just come out and do PRECISELY what you already did and then charge you for it, even if it was just a few minutes. Ends up, the part isn’t even available anymore. Of course, the service tech said he would call and tell me that the next day, but I didn’t find out until Monday morning. Sure would have been nice to have went out and looked for a new oven on Saturday, now I have to wait all week until I have the time to do so. What Thompson did was a JOKE. If you are looking for appliance repair, I’d look elsewhere. I will never call upon them again, I will make sure that Weir’s never refers them again, and I will never refer them to a friend or family member again.
