Description

Specialties

Visit our web site for more lodge and restaurant specials.

Sunnyside has been a landmark on Lake Tahoe since the 1950s because we’re the ultimate lakefront place to eat or stay. With our location right on the shores of Lake Tahoe’s west side, we have become a you-gotta-see-this destination for locals and visitors alike.

The Lodge: Classic, lodge-style appointments make each of our 23 guestrooms and suites an inviting place to sink into after the day’s activities. Goose-down pillows and comforters are cozy touches, and private patios and decks mean relaxation is just steps away. You won’t find a more comfortable place to stay. Check our web site for specials!

Dining: Lakeside Dining Room (and Tahoe’s largest Lakefront Deck) offers a mouthwatering menu centered around steaks and chops, featuring prime beef as well as fresh seafood. Be sure to explore the carefully selected wine list, too.

History

Established in 1946.

The history of Sunnyside Resort dates back to 1908 when the original building was constructed as a summer home. It was first opened as a lodge in 1946, with seven rooms, two baths, and a small marina. In 1987, the resort underwent a thorough renovation, and once again became the social center for west shore Lake Tahoe.
