Tahoe Rug Studio is the West’s premier source of authentic rugs for mountain homes. We offer a diverse selection of hand woven rugs from the worlds finest weavers, including our own rugs inspired by Native American weaving traditions, Modern Tibetan carpets, Classic Oriental rugs, and one of the country’s largest selection of authentic Antique Navajo rugs and blankets.

Our selection includes rustic oriental rugs, most made with natural dyes, as well as transitional rugs with the versatility to complement any décor. Our success is based on over twenty years of experience in meeting design trade expectations. We specialize in locating the best rugs for your design specifications and allow customer lay-​outs on approval before final selection.

History

Established in 1980.

Tahoe Rug Studio has been in Tahoe City since 1997. Serving both the design community and rug enthusiasts in the greater Reno/​Tahoe area, and throughout the intermountain west. It is owned by George Postrozny, who grew up with oriental rugs in the home and began buying old tribal rugs while on a hiking trip in Asia in 1985. Tahoe Rug Studio only makes and buys rugs which are well made, offer good value, have character and that are truly likeable.
