Yard by Yard Makeovers

I’m sure Yard by Yard does wonderful work based on the other two reviews, but sadly I will not be able to say. I emailed Yard by Yard to try to set up an estimate for some landscaping and never got a reply. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and so called to set up a time. Since the weather was bad, they said it would have to wait until next week, which I said was fine. They set me up for an appointment, took all my information, and said I would be meeting with the owner.
Come the day of the appointment, no one shows up. 45 minutes later, I call to find out what was happening and they had no record of me having ever called. Apparently there had been a «software glitch» or something and they didn’t have me on the schedule (even after me confirming my address and a number of other information previously). Since I had taken off work to be home for them, I asked if anyone would be able to come out for half an hour to look around since I was also in Takoma Park, not far at all from where they are located. They said there was no possible way for that to happen, even though they had missed the appointment they had taken through no fault of mine. I told them not to bother rescheduling. Last thing I need to deal with is paying someone who doesn’t bother correcting a mistake made on their side to help a potential customer.
Hopefully they do good work, but we will be looking for a more professional landscaper for our project.

Big gardening job. Overgrown yard with mature trees covered in ivy with ancient azaleas and rhododendrons. Yard by Yard Makeovers pruned cleared brush de-​ivied trees, fertilized and mulched. The place looks great. My wife did not see it until it was done and she could not have been more pleased. I will use their services again.
