History

Established in 1968.

In 1968 Jackie Stephens, with the loving support of his wife Elaine, a school teacher, started selling carpet from the back of his station wagon in Talladega, Alabama. He would sell a job, drive to Georgia and come back with a roll of carpet tied to the top of his car. To this day Stephens Carpet has remained committed to serving their customers with promptness and appreciation. We’re much more than just a carpet store now. Our business has expanded over the years to include wood flooring, laminates, vinyl sheet goods, luxury vinyl tile, and commercial flooring.
