Comcast Service Center

I know this will come as a surprise but I had/​have a very bad experience with Communist cast. They have the Monopoly on fast internet service in the area. I am having internet/​phone issues. I set an appointment for my business for a morning service call. No technician showed up. I called them back only to be told I had a late afternoon appointment. I explained to the *cough* fine *cough* service rep that we would be closed at that time and that was explained to the rep the day before. They told me the «local service provider» can change the appointment at will to better suit them, and if the technician showed up and no one was here they would close the ticket and I would have to call to reschedule an appointment. We have got to do something about this monopolistic non caring company.

I mean it’s Comcast so we all don’t expect much from them. Worst company known to man, wish there was other options.

The despair of a Comcast Service Center on a Saturday morning. They’re only open from 9am-​1pm, so you tell yourself to get there at 9am, only to realize that everyone else has been waiting there since 8:30am. You’ll wait in line for an hour as some guy inefficiently and simultaneously calls names from a clipboard and helps people pay their bills at the automatic payment machine. You’ll watch him interact with angry customers, whose questions probably could’ve been answered on the website or over the phone. You’ll see elderly people standing around as young people hoard the seating area, in an overly individualistic and «I look out for me» manner.
Your name gets called. You approach the counter, only to have the customer service representative not make eye contact with you as you explain your problem. You will tell him what happen and wonder if he’s listening. You’ll repeat yourself, he’ll interrupt you, and you’ll wonder if your question/​concern is actually getting resolved. He’ll print some things. You’ll sign some things. He’ll give you new stuff, and you’ll be on your way, realizing that you don’t know why you have new stuff or how to use it.
You’ll get home. You’ll try to set things up. Things won’t work. You’ll somehow discover how to fix it on your own, on the website. And you’ll long for a simpler time, when Internet was just an idea, and not something that allowed a company to treat their customers so badly because they have a monopoly of the internet industry and don’t really care about your «experience.»
But seriously, writing down names on a clipboard? And only four chairs? It’s ridiculous.

Oh Comcast, how you conflict my emotions so! I have formed a love-​hate relationship with this place over the years. What can I say? The place is usually packed with people who have disgruntled looks on their faces. The wait times are always long, and the equipment they dish out has a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance of falling apart before you make it out of the door. Despite this, the workers always seem to have smiles on their faces, and for that I am thankful. I have never received poor customer service at this location, and they are quick to resolve most problems. Just go in with the idea that it is going to be a 30 – 45 minute quest from the start to curb your expectations.

I’ve had many experiences with Comcast and their customer service. This was the first time that I actually had a great experience. The rep. Cierra was great. She was helpful and helped to upgrade my equipment. I had no idea that I had been using outdated equipment for Internet because it was given to me by another rep. 2 years ago instead of the proper equipment. She explained a lot to me and really made my trip worth it. Great job we need more happy and helpful people like you! Thank you!

Comcast is literally the devil. I have never received such awful, ridiculously crappy customer service. my internet and TV went out twice a week for ten months. in that time I had five technicians out and all together missed a little over two weeks of services in that time. they never refunded me or apologized and their techs would only ever be able to be there in their insanely inconvenient time frames. they promised me my $ 270 refund, but have now informed me I only get $ 70 back. guess what? still don’t have that money and it’s a month later (I’m editing this right now to add that ridiculous fact.) even though I didn’t have their services for over two weeks. they’re liars and I cant speak poorly enough of them. oh my god.
all that being said, the people who work at this service center are amazing. THEY should be the ones on the phones and Comcast probably wouldn’t be the butt of so many jokes
(anyone seen that South Park episode?) *i talked to Karl and he soothed my rage at the company and made me feel as if I was finally being heard. too bad he isn’t the president and CEO or I wouldn’t be talking such mad crap all over town.

I moved from Tampa to Tallahassee to give some context of this compared to past experience. In tampa you can get brighthouse or verizon fios (both very good solid internet providers) for roughly the same price. They both have low pings and very good up/​down for the price.
Here in Tallahassee you can only get comcast and it’s real use up/​down is roughly 1 up and 1.5 down during peak and non-​peak hours. The latency spikes are some of the worst I’ve ever seen with sways of up to 300 with no obvious cause. All of this means that, for example, you can’t have something streaming (music, Netflix, etc.) and play a game at the same time.
Past reviews on other sites show that their nodes were oversold years ago which points to a longstanding and unresolved base problem with this local branch of comcast. Overall the quality of their product, as expected, is abysmal at best. Please avoid moving here if your job or personal hobbies revolve around using the internet at home.

Comcast has affordable rates when you sign up with them. Comcast will continue to raise rates until you can no longer afford the services. I was no longer getting the channels I has signed up for. Comcast told me the channels were not part of my package. Comcast does the bait and switch. When I returned my box and router the rep told me I had not returned a router and would charge me for the router. If you sign up with Comcast document every phone call and visit to the Comcast office because they will screw you and you will pay for their mistakes. Goodbye Comcast! I am tired of poor service, billing issues and LIES!!!

this is why we need competition (not monopolies) for internet service providers.
they can do anything they want! they don’t care if customers are getting decent service because there’s no competition!
skipping the long story, but here’s the bottom line: when you speak with someone to cancel service, make sure you get the person’s name and ID number, and make sure you receive a confirming email. otherwise, you’ll continue to get billed for service after your cancellation date, and when you call to dispute it they’ll tell you that there’s no record of the cancellation in the system. so, their employee messes up, and you get billed.
for $ 20 they could have fixed the problem and left me feeling that cared about running an honest business. so now they’re ahead $ 20 of my money, and i’m disgusted with them. will do everything possible to avoid ever being a comcast customer in the future.

They don’t even deserve one star. They NEVER pick up the phone. After hours (about 6 hours total) on hold and on the phone I got a sales rep who offered a decent monthly deal when my promo rate expired, and they were putting it through when we got disconnected. When I called back I spent hours on the phone with several different departments and they didn’t know what rate she was talking about and offered me one that was higher than the one I had been paying for 6 months. No compromise even though I was an existing customer who had paid all my bills on time. Unbelievably rude and apathetic, I thought my head was going to explode from talking to these morons. Cancelled services and now looking for any alternative even if I pay more.

Ridiculous. First, they gave me completely WRONG information, telling me my cable equipment was being «grandfathered» over to the person taking over my account. Second, when I got my bill for the non-​grandfathered equipment they said they would mail prepaid self-​addressed boxes with the new person’s new equipment, so the new person could send back the old equipment. Third, they sent the new person’s new equipment but FORGOT to send the prepaid self-​addressed boxes. NOW, I live four hundred miles away and I’m being charged $ 120 for equipment I DO NOT want and have tried several times to return. And the customer service office just closed. Awesome.

COMCAST is awful, have absolutely no customer service, and have the most incompetent employees. Here’s my experience:
I ordered the Blast Plus packaged and told the representative that I was picking up the box from the local center. I picked up the box the following day, the box was broken and didn’t work but Comcast treated me like an idiot and asked if all the wires were screwed tightly. After seven phones calls, six different activations, eight hours of waiting. Comcast was finally convinced that it was the box and not my fault.
The following day, I called Comcast and they told me to drive out to the local center and they would have another equipment for me. I drove out there from east side of town. After 35 minutes, I got there, waited another 45 minutes before I could speak to someone just for them to tell me that they didn’t have equipment. The excuse was that «all the students came back into town» and they didn’t have enough equipment. For a company whose bread and butter is to provide and supply Cable and Internet; not having equipment is unacceptable.
After three more commutes and 120 mileages later, I finally got a working box. Someone at Comcast got their wires crossed and shipped me another box. I was charged for the shipment and the second box. When I explain everything that happened to the billing department, I expected some kind of apologize or a credit for gas for my time, but the only thing they offered is «It’s not our company policy to offer anything to you.»
If my HOA allowed me to have Dish, or if there were any other providers in Tallahassee, I would switch in a heartbeat. Comcast, try to improve things. I am forced to stay with your company because I have no other options, but it’s I will not be a returning customer when I move away from here.

TV and Internet products are good. Install teams are horrible, lazy and do poor work. First installer hooked up one cable line and one phone line but nothing else as «it’s time for me to get off». The second ran wires along the side if my house which was very unattractive. The charge huge rates for installs and provide poor customer service.

I actually did not have any sort of issues when I went to the Comcast location. They knew exactly what I was talking about and gave me the service I needed. The only problem because no matter what time day or night you go, there is always a huge wait time. I think that they would have less of a problem if they offered more seating. It would make things a bit more bearable.

I hate these motherf*ckers. I hate everyone that works at this location. And last I hate everyone that I’ve ever had to talk to on the phone. Every single month they get my bill wrong. When I call, I spend at least 30 minutes arguing my point. Then speaking to a supervisor that wants to give me a credit on the bill. The credit they apply equals the correct billing amount! WTF? In just under a month I will be DONE with Comcast and I can’t wait! But I still expect them to send me a wrong bill in August! «F*cking retarded motherf*ckers» has become my catch phrase after speaking with them. There is no way anyone else could get worst.

I have been having issues with Comcast Customer Service for the past three months. It all started when the internet at my house was going on and off for a month and a half. I finally got tired of it and scheduled for a technician to come out to my house and fix it at the beginning of May. The technician no showed and it was explained to me that I would receive a credit for the no show. They claimed that I scheduled the repair for the end of May, which I did not because I needed someone to come by as soon as possible. I work full time and they would not accommodate me with rescheduling, but a technician came to my house later that day and fixed the internet. This technician also disconnected my cable, which he had no business doing, and I have been out of cable for a month and a half. I also never received the promised credit on the next bill and I was planning on speaking to customer service within the week to complain about the missing credit. Two Saturdays ago, I got a call from Comcast saying that they would upgrade my internet and give me 20 free channels, no charge. This sounded great and I made an appointment for them to come Wednesday anytime from 2 — 6 PM. I waited around all day Wednesday, nobody came. I got caught up with work and forgot about the no show until the following Wednesday I got a call saying that they would be coming to the house shortly, and this was NOT the day I scheduled the appointment because I had to work that day. Luckily my sister was home, but the technician did not do anything other than replace the modem (which I did not need). She asked him about the cable and he said he would not hook up the cable and left, even though it was in his directions to install the cable. I called customer service that night when I got out of work and I was on the phone for an hour, arguing with the employee and they said that they would send a technician on Saturday, anytime from 3 – 5 PM to install the cable. I also complained that I never received my credit from the last time it was promised, and she said that she would credit me. So today was supposed to be when the technician would come by and install the cable, and he never even showed up. I waited around all day for them and when it was 6:00 PM I called customer service and asked where the technician was. They said that they had rescheduled me for NEXT WEEK (I spoke to NOBODY about rescheduling), but the woman I spoke to (she said her name was Natasha) claimed I did not even need a technician to do this job and I did not need a technician to come by to upgrade the internet either, they do that from the Comcast office. All I needed were the digital cable boxes to hook up to the televisions. So I asked her, why did they even schedule me for this and what did the technician even do on Wednesday when he came by. She claimed she had no idea what he did and she did not know why they would replace the modem when there was nothing wrong with it.
SERIOUSLY what is wrong with these people? Is there absolutely NO communication within every single branch of this office? Even when I threatened to cancel the service they said I had to actually drive down to the office (across town from where I live) and return all of the equipment myself. WHY??? Didn’t they have a technician come by to install it in the first place? I SERIOUSLY HATE THIS COMPANY

I can’t say more than John S. did, and he is CORRECT! It’s a damn shame that Comcast is the only cable company we have to choose from in Tallahassee. Every experience he described was like déjà vu for me while reading. I also switched to Direct TV and DSL with Century Link. It’s sad when DSL is far superior to the local cable internet!

If I can give them a zero I would. They have been out to my house on numerous ocassions and they still can’t fix the fact that espn HD is pixalated. Sometimes it doesnt even work. The customer service at this company is garbage. I told them my Dvr is slow and doesn’t work properly, they just swap it out for another broken one, and of course you don’t find this out until you get home and start using it. Then I have to reprogram all the shows that I had set to record. I have done this process at least 5 times. I had them come out a few times to bury my neighbors cable that runs through my yard (which I don’t understand why it’s running through my yard to begin with). They just barely buried it, so when I mow the lawn it gets all tangled up in my trimmer. I’m trying to be neighborly and not just cut the damn thing, but they are giving me no choice. I am so fed up with this company, I am switching to direct tv next week.
