This is a fantastic alternative to the typical ice cream. My in-laws took me to this on a family stay and it was fantastic. I would go to this place all the time if I was local. It is just a cool place to get an unusual treat. This is not a «slush puppy» or crushed ice stop, the ice is shaved so it ends up being like a snowflake. Heads up – for most people, the small is large enough because they heap the ice up high in the cup.

Bahama Bucks is absolutely awesome. There are over 99 individual flavors and they can be combined I so many different ways! The atmosphere is friendly and helpful. You can try any of the flavors before you purchase. It is my new favorite no-fat refreshing treat! I highly recommend it!

I was dragged here by my younger siblings… And I don’t think I’ll be returning. First of all, the place is pricey for what they offer… Ice with syrup. So we order and when the lady hands me my order… She says, «mango and chocolate??? [she makes a disgusted face] I’m interested to know what THAT tastes like.» Well I’ll tell you this, as crazy as it may sound to you, I’ve had that combination for over 20 years at Italian Ice places(likes Rita’s gelati). Too bad this place’s particular recipe wasn’t very good. Most importantly… In a customer service industry, I don’t think that type of behavior/comment is appropriate at all. The reason why this place isn’t getting one star is because it was still edible. It’s a high school kid hang out… And the employees lack all sorts of customer service skills. I’ll take the kids to Yogurtology next time.

Bahama Buck’s is a game changer. Everything about the place is 5 stars. You can tell as soon as you pull up into the parking lot that it’s a fun place. There’s a tetherball area, picnic tables, sand, surfboards. Then when you walk in and look at the huge menu and Australian surf décor, topped with the friendly service, you know this is as good as it gets. Bahama Buck’s is a rapidly growing franchise primarily based in the Southwest. The Odessa location(just north of Citrus Park Mall) is only their second in Florida, the other being in Miami. I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of shaved ice but they surely changed my definition of it. It reminded me of eating fresh fallen snow when I was a kid in New England. It’s really soft and really cold. They have a crazy amount of flavors and it’s very difficult deciding. Fortunately, they provide samples to help narrow it down. After trying horchata, Jamaican punch, tiger’s blood, I went with the tiger’s blood and with the ‘Baby’ size, you can have three flavors so I also got toasted coconut and banana colada. I added vanilla ice cream on the bottom and a cream they drizzle over the top. Good stuff! And the baby size was more than for me. Not sure how someone can get a regular or large without their brain freezing. Aside from shaved ice, they also have smoothies, Island House coffees, hot chocolate, fruit bowls, Bahama sodas and other items. Oh and they have a bunch of board games to play, as well as Bimini ring game which is a fun and challenging game(play this with a friend to see who pays). Nice addition to the Citrus Park/Odessa area as it’s a very family-friendly place.

I’ve been here twice now. My husband fell in love on the first visit but it took me two to really«get it». The first time I tried the mango tango smoothie, which several people I talked to really enjoyed but it just wasn’t my thing. I like chunks of real fruit in my smoothies. The second time I went I was smarter and got what they are really good at– shaved ice. I got the white coconut with passion fruit and cream. I LOVED the white coconut! And make sure you add cream, always. You can get up to three flavors on your gigantic snow cone. One of my kids got cotton candy, root beer, and grape with sprinkles(bleh! But he loved every bite!), the other got cherry coke and root beer. He also loved his. The price is fair and the environment is very clean and fun. My husband wants to make it a goal to try every flavor(and there are about a bazillion) so we will be back!

Just amazing. I’m not a big snow cone fan but his is an experience. I think it’ll take me a year try all the different flavors. I don’t think I’ll ever try the pickle juice though. Way cool place don’t forget to get the bahama rama
