Honestly, I don’t know where to begin. I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with these people!!!
Their pricing is sketchy, they give lots of lip service, they are in no hurry to fix their mistakes, and the manager, CHARLIE, is rude and unprofessional. Instead of trying to be professional and fix their mistakes, he seems to think yelling and criticizing customers is the way to do business. I wish that I had never started doing business with them.

Sam and the guys at Aamco are great, I’m lucky to have them for my transmission service to my fleet of vans.

Aamco is the best! I was referred to them by several friends that have been to this location on Florida and Fowler. I recently moved from Oregon and had transmission problems along the way. Once I got to Aamco, I was greeted by the friendly staff who took the time to take my car on a road test followed by a thorough scan on the computer system at no charge. Most of the shops in the area had previously told me I needed a new transmission, but it turned out to only be a $ 175 repair! Needless to say, as a 26 year old female not knowing very much about cars, I was thrilled with the repair work on my Eclipse and it’s been running great ever since. It’s nice to go to a place where everyone is so friendly, take the time to listen and care about the customers and their cars, and feel welcomed.

So the air conditioner goes out in my car. This was kinda a big deal for me since this is Florida and it’s summer and it rains every afternoon at exactly 5:15 PM which is exactly when I’m driving home from work. This is also kinda a big deal because I detest spending money on something as lame as car repairs. After a week and a half of sweating it out, I finally broke down and randomly picked this Aamco based on location.
I called Saturday morning and was told that if I wanted to have my car looked at I would need to get there ASAP because they close insanely early on Saturdays. Like noon. So we got there ASAP. We sat in a room with a TV that only received (and received badly) sitcoms I’ve never heard of. I read Hunter Magazine. I felt physically ill because I knew that at any moment someone was going to walk in, talk to me in hushed tones and then my husband would lead me away as I start to weep.
After a 20 minute wait, the manager came in and started talking to me as though I were his intellectual and mechanical equal. As he explained I tried to imagine the expense of the items plus the cost of labor for fuses ($ 55) and valves ($ 110) and compressors ($ 475) and electrical boards ($???)… When I realized that he had stopped talking I took a deep breath and asked him how much it was going to cost.
At that very moment the clouds parted and sunshine direct from Heaven back lit Mr. Borbour, Customer Service Manager, so that he himself appeared to radiate divine light in a manner characteristic of a religious icon or Glow Worm.
«No charge. Your connection was dirty.»
Then the chorus of angels kicked in. «Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh…»
Aamco could’ve totally ripped me off by acting like I needed to replace something I didn’t need to. They could’ve charged me $ 50 for the 20 minutes of labor they spent checking my fuses and valves and air compressor and electrical boards. Aamco probably could’ve screwed me 6 other ways to Sunday and I would’ve never been the wiser. Instead they cleaned my connection and sent me on my way free of charge. I’m normally not a loyal customer in the automotive department, but I will defiantly be going to this Aamco from now on. They rocked my socks right freakin’ off.
