Fran Chong Tranquility Escape

I purchased a deal for services by Heidi P on LivingSocial, and I regret it! My highlights were terrible! In the many, many years I have been highlighting my hair, it has never turned out this bad. There were big sections of hair with no highlights and the foils bled throughout my entire head, leaving horizontal stripes by my roots. There were also areas of color that were a yellowy-​orange color. It was hard to tell that the color was so horrible in the salon because of the BRIGHT fluorescent lights and the part that she used to style my hair. It wasn’t until I got home a few minutes later that I realized how bad it was… it needed to be fixed, but I did not want to go back there to have her even attempt to fix it. I ended up going to another salon, and paid full price on top of what I already spent to have it fixed.
The stylist who fixed it had to use a dye close to my natural color to fix all the spots that had bled — she put this color on the roots throughout my entire head, and then re-​did the highlights. It took her 3 hours to fix what it seemed like Heidi just slapped onto my head.
To give Heidi some credit, she was very friendly and did a pretty good blow out… none of that is worth what my head looked like though.
Also, to give LivingSocial props, I sent them an e-​mail (not requesting a refund, just letting them know not to use Tranquility Escape Salon as a deal ever again) and they refunded my purchase and gave me a credit to use in the future.
Moral of the story: Love LivingSocial, hated this salon.

. I purchased a $ 20 voucher for $ 50 worth of hair services with Heidi Porath, a stylist there. I made an appointment for 7:30pm for the next day and I commented that it seemed pretty late. The receptionist assured me that Heidi works long days and it was normal for her. When I showed up at 7:30pm after driving halfway across town in the freezing cold with my son, there were two girls leaving to get in their cars. I walked up to the door which was locked, I turned around and the girls just got in their cars and drove right past me with my son in front of their salon knowing there was no one left to open the door.
Who treats their customers like this? Heidi Porath will not get anywhere by blowing off her clients and leaving them in the cold. I have never been treated so badly…
