I’m in love with this locally owned ultra premium olive oil shop! They sell the freshest olive oil I have ever tasted. Seriously, come here and sample some olive oil, then go home and taste what you have in the pantry; you will be shocked at the difference! I can’t believe I was cooking with and eating that rancid stuff!
The staff is wonderful. They will help you with suggestions with combining olive oils with the balsamic vinegars. My favorite oils are basil, mushroom & sage, and smoke. My favorite balsamics are lemon (white balsamic that tastes like fresh lemons), traditional (aged 18 years), and espresso (surprisingly fantastic on salmon).
I love the extra burst of flavor these oil and vinegars add to my cooking! The store pours your oil fresh into the bottle size you select which is great because you know you’re getting what you just sampled! (Balsamics are poured fresh too.)
I highly recommend this local delight.

The ONLY place to buy olive oil & vinegar! So many amazing combinations. The staff is so helpful they will be sure to guide you to something you love. My favorite is the Rosemary oil with dark chocolate balsamic. I’ll be eating lots of healthy salads now so I can finish what I got and go back to try more!
They also have some great gifts that any foodie would love and they do personalized labeling for party favors.

OMG, I am so glad that my husband and I got lost going to a Friday night high school football game and came across this place… although it was closed then, I made a note to go back soon. Being new to the area, I like to go on jaunts and find new, and interesting places… I ventured back on a weekday morning… I have to admit that the parking here is atrocious, but the fact that there is a spot only for Joe and Sons customer was terrific!
Michael was so informative and gave me quite an education! After tasting so many different and fabulous oils and vinegars, I didn’t know how to limit myself. I enjoyed myself so much that I walked out with 6 bottles of olive oils and vinegar and had 6 bottles sent to my two daughters in New York City and Chicago. They rave about the taste and quality, too!

I went into this store with my daughter, the first thing I tasted was the 18 Year Balsamic Vinegar and fell in LOVE the Coconut is great too. Bought both. I was afraid to taste the Olive Oils I would have spent more money. Now I have an excuse to come back. Marilyn was a pleasure to work with lots of recipes and helpful hints.
I cannot wait to return. I can see myself shopping for Christmas gifts here.

Great selection of olive oil, balsamic and other edible goods. The staff is friendly and eager to help find combinations of oil & balsamic as well as offer new selections. I personally love the lemon olive oil, although you can usually find it at home goods for less money. I also really like the fig balsamic. It’s great to pair with olive oil for a purist salad dressing. Great gift items!

This is the best place to sample pairings of olive oils and vinegars. I come here for myself and for gift giving. It’s always a nice experience.
If you’re new to the store, owner or staff will educate you on all that goes into making olive oil and how best they are paired. I love sampling! … Some of my favorites are cayenne oil shaken with raspberry balsamic, basil olive oil with balasamic, sesame oil with honey ginger, so many interesting variations.

I’m not sure you’re gonna find a better selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegar’s. This place has a great variety of infused olive oils and vinegar’s, as well as a very helpful staff that can make recommendations on pairings and uses for any products they sell. What sets this place apart, beyond the friendly service and great store space, is the fact that you can sample any of the products (at no charge) you might like to purchase.
We moved to the Tampa area not long ago and were in dire need of high quality olive oil for cooking and making dressings. I looked this place up on the internet and off I went — in search of greatness. I certainly found it. Joe and son’s is a family owned business and that has been around for more than 50 years (I think closer to 75 years actually). It is run by the great grandchildren of Joe, so there’s a lot of pride in operating this business.
The olive oil selection far exceeded my expectations. Even within the olive oil selection, whether it virgin or extra virgin, Joe and son’s has varying «mild» to «strong» types of olive oils within these categories. The day I first visited they had 7 or 8 olive oils ranging from mild to prominent extra virgin oil. Beyond that, they also have infused olive oils as well. I’m a fan of the chipotle olive oil so far. I’ve also tried the Oregano and the Rosemary olive oils — very good as well.
The balsamic vinegar selection is something to write home about as well. Much like the olive oils, the balsamic selection is quite impressive. I’m a huge fan of the 18 years-​aged balsamic, but what I really went nuts for was the dark chocolate infused balsamic. It’s great with dessert… or really anything you’d like.
Like I said before, the staff is extremely helpful in advising what oil or vinegar would pair best with certain foods and drinks. They also took the time to explain who they get their products from. They have a comprehensive knowledge of the art and science that goes into making olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which I can appreciate. Highly recommend and would have given this place 10 STARS if I could.

Amazing. Not only are the oils and vinegars more amazing than you can imagine, but Connie makes everything fun and exciting. She knows hundreds of different oil and vinegar combinations that will make any meal you can think of perfect. We could not be happier with our experience here!

I absolutely adore this place! You will never want to go back to cooking with regular olive oil. The garlic infused olive oil is delicious and made my boyfriend (who’s garlic obsessed, like me) very happy. You can try anything before you buy, with little pieces of bread or on its own. Also, the lemon olive oil is incredible too, didn’t purchase that one though. And the staff is just as warm and friendly as can be! I will for sure be back.

Didn’t know much about olive oil or vinegars but Connie took on a tour that blew our minds. Great spot for experienced foodies or total rookies that are looking for something off the beaten path.

Love… love… love …coming here! What’s the big deal about olive oil you ask? This stuff is liquid gold. It’s freshly made and you can taste it! Makes my bottled store bought olive oil taste like plain old… Well, crap! They have over 400 different combinations!!! (Well that’s what the lady at the store said.)I recently bought the chile infused olive oil with peach balsamic. Weird combo? I think not! Mix those bad boys up and toss in salad, sauté chicken or use the peach balsamic alone for fruit and even cocktails. Yum!
Not to mention the shopping experience here. I really enjoy just coming in and trying the different products as well as I get my creative juices on what I can do with it. You can taste the quality and paying the minimal cost for good stuff is worth every penny! Don’t buy store bought vinegars or balsamic. For almost the same price you can have unique flavor choices, great quality and get a fresh spin when hosting those dinner parties. People were saying how great my simple salad was. Asked what was in it. Only to be told it’s just 18year old balsamic with a imported fresh olive oil. Made my lettuce super fancy! ;) when something this simple makes me a gourmet cook… They deserve 5 stars!

This is the only place you can taste everything and anything and buy to your heart’s content. I’ve tried so many different oils and vinegars here… I can’t even describe them all. But the ones we keep coming back for are the garlic infused oil and the honey serrano vinegar. For the first time, reduced it down and the taste was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. I could eat that on everything!
This is a really cool store. The staff is really knowledgeable. It’s like the Dean n DeLuca of oil and vinegar (even better than the garlic oil I bought there in CA).
I wish the prices were just a tad bit less, that way I’d buy even more at once!

Once you taste joe and sons’ olive oil, you won’t go back to store bought ones. They
have large variety of infused olive oils, award winning extra virgin oils, vinegars, dips, pasta products, local honey… My personal favorites are wild mushroom & sage EVOO, truffle oil and blackberry ginger balsamic. Knowledgable staff, excellent service and delicious oils and vinegars. Feel free to try different combinations of olive oil and vinegar.

Wanted to introduce my Tampa bestie to the wonderful world of olive oils and we stopped by here upon passing. The oils and vinegars were great. The lady was very helpful in pairing up oils/​vinegars.

I never realized what a difference ‘quality’ olive oil made in my cooking until I purchased olive oil from here. Not only do they have high end olive oils and vinegars, but the different flavors of both really help make the most mundane food taste gourmet. A simple dish of frozen fish and stir fry veggies can be transformed with the combinations of these olive oils and vinegars. The educated staff also helps to show you how to compliment these and offer recipie suggestions as well. I have given these as gifts and I have always been asked «where in the world did you get these?». Great place!

This place is heaven on earth if you cook, or appreciate food in any way. This place is legit!

This is the best place to shop for olive oil and vinegar. The quality of their products is very impressive and so is the selection. They make great gift and are wonderful to use in your own home. I love that they let you sample anything you want. The appetizer examples they have available to try in the store are always so delicious. They have really great recipes too. I definitely recommend checking this place out. You will want to go back and get more flavors.

A good friend, Jason Fernandez, recommended this place to me — and this is a guy who knows all things good food — so I finally dropped in last week for the first time. Was really impressed with the selection and Andrea’s knowledge of the process and flavors. Am disappointed that I hadn’t been in earlier since she had great recommendations for pairings and different ways to use the varies I liked that I really could have used for a recent dinner party. They also offer much more than olive oil. It’s in a convenient location (and lucky for me close to my home!), and parking wasn’t a problem at the time I was there. It will definitely become a regular stop on my way home from work. I guess I’ll have to pick up a bottle for Jason as a thank you for telling me about this place!

Andrea Messina Gebbia is continuing a family tradition with her new business. Both her great grandfather and grandfather ran a popular Ybor City grocery for nearly four decades.
