Junk Shot – Junk Removal & Recycling App

The BEST! These guys (I think their names were Chris and Gold) helped remove junk from two apartments across town prior to a move-​out, and they were quick, efficient and friendly. In fact, everyone I spoke with at Junk Shot were polite, very friendly and accommodating. Very affordable, too. I wish I could use their services out here in MO! Keep up the awesome job, guys.

Just had an awesome experience with Junk Shot aka Accelerated Waste Solutions. I was looking for a local Tampa junk hauler for residential to clear out a bunch of left overs from a house I’m selling. I searched Unilocal and noticed they had a deal I could buy through Unilocal.Reviews were good, website showed that trucks were larger than competitors’, figured it was worth a try.
So, here is where the only negative part of my experience occurred. There was an option to request a quote through Unilocal and Unilocal notes that most requests are responded to within five hours by this business. I did that, waited 24 hours, heard nothing. I called the 855−297−5865 number on their web page, got a busy signal… Called the (813) 447‑3608 listed on their Unilocal page, boom, got a hold of them and was able to set up service for the next day, a Saturday no less, with less than 24 hours notice. The woman I spoke to gave me a two hour window and said the driver would call me 30 minutes beforehand to confirm. She called me back later in the day to confirm everything was still good. So, initially, hard to get a hold of them, but I’m still giving them five stars given how everything else worked out.
Next day arrives, I receive a call and stupidly didn’t notice my phone vibrating. It was still 30 minutes before the appointment time. Then I get a text which I noticed; it was Jason from Junk Shot confirming the appointment and that he was heading my way. Called him back and confirmed.
Jason and Eric arrive on a horrible raining Saturday right on time and got right to work. The truck was noticeably larger than the competitor with the blue trucks for sure, as I’ve used that company before. I’d guesstimate it’s larger than the college blah blah folks with the orange trucks too but would have to see them side by side. I had a bad experience with the college junk company so they weren’t considered this time around regardless.
In any case, Eric photographed the junk I had for removal as that’s part of their process. They confirmed it would probably fit in the ½ truck size that I had estimated when talking with them on the phone, confirmed the price, and they got to work. They were very efficient, paid constant attention to the other things around the house that were not being removed or could be damaged, and did an absolutely fantastic job. My junk load was pushing a little past the ½ truck mark, so they confirmed if I wanted to stop there or continue with the things I had identified and take it to the ¾ mark. The pricing was reasonable, and I had the Unilocal deal already purchased for a further discount, so I went ahead with that. I was in complete agreement about the volume of junk; it wasn’t one of those bait and switch things where they fill it only ¾ of the way up to the top and then tell you you need ¾ of the truck because it’s reaching towards the back. They were completely honest and packed the thing full.
So that’s that, junk packed, Unilocal discount applied, paid the remainder by credit card through their phone app and they were on their way probably 80 minutes after arrival with ¾ of a big truck full of junk.
As good as the service and pricing is, they’d probably have even more business if they answered their toll free number. :-)

First time using Junk Shot, but definitely not the last. Chris and Eric were very prompt, professional, efficient and friendly. Not much else to say other than they picked up and hauled away what they were supposed to, and made enough of a lasting impression for me to use Junk Shot for my future junk removal needs. Having used other hauling services in the past, I felt their price was very fair. I highly recommend this company!

I can’t believe how much they got it in 1 load! 2 men worked, packed, disassembled, lots of large, heavy items. I had 4 dressers/​armoires & they packed junk inside the drawers. They sat things on end, whatever it took to fit it onto the truck. Heavy, nasty rolls of carpet, no complaints. They honored the $ 75 off from Unilocal.It was a full load & they did not leave any space on the truck at all before they left.

This was the second time I used Junk Shot, and both times my experience was excellent. The two guys they sent out were friendly, professional, timely, called me to give me a «heads up» when they were about 20 minutes away from my home, and simply were amazing in every way. Their rates are reasonable. They are dependable: both times I have used them they arrived when they stated they would. I will use them again and recommend them highly!

The two guys who came out, Keith and Chris, were very helpful, friendly, and on time. I had an upright piano, a very large old projection TV, and a desk to get rid of. They took it all for $ 150.00 — the best deal I could find. When they removed the old large-​screen TV from my living room they were careful to not touch my other furniture while moving it out. I had been worried about my leather couch but didn’t need to be.
One thing to keep in mind — Junk Shot WILL deal with you and you CAN get a lower than quoted price when scheduling service. BUT you will need to hold FIRM to that price when they come out to pick up your stuff. They have a schedule of «surcharges» that you aren’t told about ahead of time. Say «NO» and hold firm to the quoted price. The guys who came were nice, and I had the feeling they had to do what they did. I wasn’t pressured, so it wasn’t a big deal — BUT HOLD FIRM TO THE QUOTED PRICE YOU END UP AGREEING ON, AFTER NEGOTIATING THE BEST DEAL FOR YOU.

Fantastic. I had almost half a garage full of cardboard boxes and just random garbage left over from the previous owner of my house. In addition to that, scrap wood and brick from a metal shed that was removed from the property for scrap metal.
Ian and Eddie were better than on time, they called to check if it was OK to be EARLY. That was a pleasant surprise. Once on site they didn’t want me to even lift a finger. I showed them what all had to go away and they made it happen. Ninety minutes later my yard was clear of scrap wood and my garage wasn’t only clear of debris but the floor was swept. It is also great to know that they recycle 80% of what is collected, so the stacks of cardboard aren’t going into a landfill.
The quote process was very simple too with the Junk Shot app. From start to finish this was a great experience and if I ever have that much garbage to deal with again I will most certainly use Accelerated Waste Solutions’ Junk Shot service again.

These young men were very professional and courteous. Junk Shot offered the best deal of all the companies I contacted. The sales person was upfront about their pricing and there was excellent follow up to confirm my service date.

Junk removal is expensive, but Junk Shot gave the best deal around. They were extremely professional and friendly over the phone and had the pickup scheduled the next business day. After a courtesy call to say they were on their way (and within the 2 hour time window that was scheduled), the truck arrived with two guys ready to work. Again, they were professional and friendly. We had a ton of cardboard boxes, paper and one large fiber-​board cabinet to get rid of. It doesn’t sound like much, but there were tons of boxes. After looking at what we had and talking about how much space it would take up, they went right to work. They filled that truck like expert packers. I had purchased a Unilocal deal that they honored without any fuss. We had more volume than the deal covered so paid the difference with a credit card. The whole process took less than half an hour. Overall excellent service and I would definitely use Junk Shot again.
