I’ve been here a few times now and I guess I can share this secret. If you like fishing, boating, kayaking, etc., there is NO better place to rent from if you have Base access. Their boat prices are FAR better than every other boat rental spot in Tampa, even with their military discounts. There are 3 different boat sizes to choose from, and you can rent hourly, half day, or full day. There is a 7 mile limit which translates to Gandy Bridge, St Pete Pier, and Downtown being your limitations, but there is plenty of water and fish within that box. Reservations are not required, but if you are planning to rent on a weekend or holiday they are recommended. Weekdays are always wide open. You have to take the safety/​boating class online and bring your certificate in order to get their card, which is what allows you to rent from them. The people that work here are really friendly and helpful. Inside the shop where you do your paperwork, they sell bait, snacks, drinks (to include beer), ice, and other things that you may need or want. I have never been disappointed with them or anything associated with this place.
