History
Established in 2014.
I was born in Camagüey, Cuba in the summer of 1979. As a youth I dabbled with clay and soon became enamored with ceramics. Later, I began making art out of recycled wet clay pipes made in a local factory. Many of my creative and rare ideas have been influenced by my grandmother a folk artisan, who created art from recycled fabric, plywood and plastic. Others influences came from Henri Rousseau, Seraphine De Senlis, Amelia Pelaez, Wilfredo Lam, Rene Portocarrero, Marcelo Pogolotti, Fidelio Ponce de Leon, Fernando Butero, and others that have left an imprint on fine art history. I have been creating art for over 17 years. My artistic work is made with emotional expression and attention to detail. It would be a rewarding experience to create works of art with love for your home, office or anywhere else you want to decorate. I have been teaching ceramics for more than 11 years, and I am still offering courses in elementary and advanced Handbuilding, in my studio in South Tampa.
