My laptop was in desperate need of a good swift kick in the motherboard, and on the recommendation of my Unilocal buddy, Mark H., I decided to take it to the Citrus Park location of MIT Computers on Citrus Park Drive. MIT sits in a small strip plaza in between the Citrus Park Mall and Steak n’ Shake to the west.
This location is open 7 days a week, which is really nice for those of us who are dependent upon our computers and would like them repaired and back in our hands as quickly as possible. MIT is part of a Tampa-​based chain which is focused on computers and mobile technology. They offer custom builds on new machines, a variety of computer diagnostic and repair services, and service for your wireless phones and tablets.
In my case I needed some help removing an especially nasty piece of spyware, then added some more RAM, and scrubbed all of the unnecessary file fragments off of my hard drive. The whole process took less than 24 hours, and the cost was quite reasonable. All of the work was done right there in the store, and the guy performed the initial diagnostics while I waited.
Because of my heavy dependence upon my electronic tools I signed up for one of their individual plans for $ 199 a year. That covers three devices and includes a variety of diagnostic and repair services, as well as discounts on in-​store parts and accessories.

I drive all the way from temple terrace for this MIT Computers store. The owner is nothing short of a genius and really knows his stuff. Over the years they have fixed several of my laptops, cracked phone screens and broken phone buttons. I will never go anywhere else for my electronic needs. They also have a pretty sweet membership program if you are a habitual electronic breaker like me. Worth the $$$

Needed to wipe my hard drive, reload the operating system, get a new PCI card, and a bump in RAM. Dropped off my old 2009 Dell on Friday, got the thing back on Saturday morning. Hooked it up, and it feels like a brand new machine. Really snappy!
The overall experience was quick, friendly and hassle-​free.

The repair went well, however the customer service was extremely poor. The two out of three employees I dealt with were either extremely unhelpful or just flat out rude.

Wilfredo was very knowledgeable and skilled. Same day fix and excellent customer service. I will keep returning for more services.

This guy is a crook. My tower was acting strange, I took it here and left it for a day. He called me the next day and told me I had a bad hard drive and it needed replaced then wanted two hundred and sum dollars to replace it. I told him I wanted a second opinion. He said he would be happy to keep the tower if I wanted to discard it which seemed strange to me… later to realize he just wanted it because there was nothing wrong with it. Took it to another guy and he just ran a program to clean it up from viruses and such. (He only charged me $ 20) My computer has been running smoothly since and am submitting this review with the very hard drive this guy said was bad. Stay away from here, he’s a thief & liar.

I have always been able to trust the service at MIT. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I save money by using the club for service as needed on any three computers.

I had worst and unacceptable experience ever from one of staff and their serives.

I droped off my laptop computer for diagnosis on ¹⁰⁄₁₇.
The diagnosis fee is $ 40 and it will be credit torward to any repairing fee.
i called and visited them 3 days after their promising date.
they told me it will take $ 300 to fix my computer.
$ 200 for reinstalling the window and $ 120 for replacing DC jack.
but bradyn mitchell told me that he can repair the DC jack for just $ 80.
so i requested to just repair the DC jack.
but next day he failed to repairing the DC jack.
so i went there to pick it up.
but my computer got alot of scratches on top case and power was completely out of power.
I was very upset becaue my new computer got so much more damaged then before.
However Bradyn Mitchell offered me again that one other speciallist who is most expert person in this field can fix my DC jack.
but it will be cost $ 200.
he can give me $ 100 of store credit for scratched case.
basicaly he want to charge me more even though he damaged my computure so much.
i tried so hard to talk with his boss about this issue. but i couldn’t get hold of him.
Bradyn Mitchell told me that with 48hours his boss will call me.
i accepted his offer to fix my DC jack from another specialist on ¹⁰⁄₂₃.
With $ 100 store credit of scratch damages, the charge will be $ 200.
however his promise didn’t make it this time again.
he promised me he can fix it within 2 days ¹⁰⁄₂₅.
he never called me until after 5 days, neither his boss ¹⁰⁄₂₇.
so i called him on ¹⁰⁄₂₈ but he was just saying that his boss will call me tomorrow for sure 100%. and he can’t do anything about it he said.
not surprisely, no one give me any feedback until ¹⁰⁄₂₉.
so i went back on ¹⁰⁄₃₁. he was saying that he can’t do anything more with my computer and just giving me back.
i paid $ 40, didn’t fix anything, just got alot of dagemes, and stoped my own work over 2 weeks. just got my alot of stress and anger.
