I usually go to an Aveda salon(and am really picky), but I decided to try the academy because my husband got a good cut from Tori B.(Tori 2750) I am so glad I decided to give the place a try. Tori 2750 did a retouch and a tortoise shell(like an ombré) color on my hair. One of floor leaders gave her tips about the service, so I wasn’t nervous at all. In fact, I am totally in love with my new color! She did exactly what I wanted, and made recommendations for a cut and conditioner treatment before I return for the color again. She also made suggestions for the color during my next appointment. My husband and I will be scheduling cuts with Tori in a couple of weeks. Give her /this place a try. If you schedule and want Tori to do your hair, you have to book with Tori 2750 to make sure you get the right Tori. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll probably save a lot of money. I paid about half of what my stylist usually charges. Soooo happy!

I’ve had awesome experiences with all of the students so far, but my favorite has been Kali! Amazing cut, style, and highlight every time! She even does makeup:)

My appointment was at 9:30 I was just going to get my bangs cut but decided to change the color of my hair. I showed them a picture of the color I wanted strawberry blonde. I cant blame the student but the teacher because she mixed the solution. Lets say I walked out of there with orange hair at 2:00. The instructor tried fixing the color by putting a solution to reduce the color and washing it but it still is orange. I spent 48.00 and i got what I paid for. I am going to have to go to a professional Salon and get my hair fixed.

I came in to help out with a friend who needed experience of cutting men’s hair. These are students learning with their trainers behind them to ensure your experience isn’t flawed plus their charges are low since they are students. My stylist had a master barber whom I met and trained her how to do a men’s fade essentially. I also had shampoo and conditioner wash on top her trainers quality in passing her test. Don’t expect to come in and leave in a few minutes as my haircut was an hour and a half long. Pleasant process but not for the faint of heart if you’re short on time.

For only $ 12 for a haircut and style, this salon is amazing! I was greeted soon upon arriving and my appointment started right on time. My hairstylist, Paige, asked me a lot of questions about my hair, what products I use, and how much time I put into my hair to get a good sense about my hair before getting started. I brought in pictures and was sort of specific of what I wanted. I ended up cutting my hair into a long bob, so in total about 6 inches was chopped off(a very big change!) throughout my haircut, I noticed the instructor walking around the salon making sure everything is going smoothly. my hair turned out fantastic and it literally has been the best haircut I’ve ever gotten! Paige exceeded my expectations! Though it is a beauty school, I would never doubt coming here again. I’ve definitely found my new go-to place for an amazing haircut.

Let me start by saying that I can’t overstate how horrible my hair looked when I walked in this morning. I’m not ashamed to say that I actually cried over it. My last visit to a different salon caused so much damage and breakage due to over-bleaching that my hair was all but destroyed. In fact, as it was cut today the instructor commented that it was breaking off in her hands. In short, I walked in this morning with broken, uneven purple hair with 3 inch dark brown roots. If you’ve never been to a beauty school to do your hair, it’s a great process(especially if you’ve dealt with over-confident stylists who answer to no one). It was my first time so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The talented student who did my hair, Tiffany, and her instructor went over a few questions with me and discussed my best options. A couple of other students(Cassidy, Marissa) helped at various steps to speed things along(like detangling, styling, etc.) and everyone was extremely nice. I originally wanted to bleach my roots and stay purple, but they convinced me to go dark to avoid additional breakage. I’ll spare you the details but about 5 hours later I walked out with beautiful dark brown hair with a subtle almost ombré-like effect. My hair is about 2 inches shorter, but it looks 100% healthier. I really didn’t think these results were possible. I have to admit I was nervous about getting my hair done at a school, but after so many bad experiences at supposedly good salons I was ready to give it a try. The price is obviously the main selling point here, I paid $ 50 for a moisture treatment, a beautiful haircut, and completely revamping my hair color(including a glaze after coloring to cancel out some of the green that remained after going brown, due to the purple in my hair). My last salon visit before this was $ 200+ and the results, as mentioned above, left me in tears. So I’m ecstatic to say the least. I’ve already booked my next appointment. If you’re on the fence about getting your hair done at a school, give it a shot. All the students I saw are clearly passionate about what they do, and you will get personalized attention from an instructor as well. In my opinion, the way the process is set up it’s highly unlikely for anything to go wrong unless you’re not up front about what you want.
