Pia Trujillo is a licensed Esthetician since 1999. Being the Brazilian Wax her area of expertise, she also offers a complete selection of services such as: Skin Care, Full body Waxing, and Microdermabrasion. In her years of experience and continuous training, she has acquired extensive knowledge in the beauty field and a flawless technique in waxing. Pia also trains all new staff members to assure a unique and uniform techinique which makes Pia Esthetics Day Spa the best place for new «waxers» as well as for the very experienced ones looking for hard or soft wax. Pia loves doing what she does and plans to keep on performing services for many years to come keeping a close eye on her staff making sure everything is always running smoothly and customers are happy. Absolutely awful. I have tried and tried to go here but they just can’t get it together. I had my eyelashes done, and they were immediately falling down into my eye. I went back the same day asking for them to be removed. The technician said my eye lashes were too short but wouldn’t take them off… If my eyelashes were too short, I can’t figure out why she would put them on in the first place? The next day, after several phone calls, they allowed me to have them to be removed. The technical was clearly angry, had sharp tools at my eyes, and burning liquid. It was horrifying. After lengthy discussions with the manager Gina, she refunded me in the form of a gift card. I decided to make an appointment for a 90 minute deep tissue massage. After what was not really a massage at all, I was quickly awoken and said that the appointment was for 90 minutes. The therapist said it wasn’t on her calendar, it was 60, and sent me on my way. The sweet front desk girl said I had properly scheduled the appointment for 90 minutes and could offer no explanation. I contacted Gina, the manager about the mistake and never heard back. I have honestly tried to love this place and have tried to come back but it’s just not worth it. A spa is supposed to be relaxing and Pias is the opposite.

This salon is awesome — hands down the best in Tampa! I get my brow wax and figi pedicure there and will not go anywhere else. They do not use a foot spa so you get your own bowl of water to soak in and I appreciate that as the foot spas are notorious for harboring bacteria. The facility is very clean and inviting. Katie, Hazel, and Libby are great. I brought a friend for a pedi and she was very impressed. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. AAAAAAAAAA!

Kiersten ad the Pia team are absolutely fantastic. I was running for my appointment and was able to call and shift it back without any hesitation. Once I arrived, the front desk staff presented a warm and welcoming environment. During the waxing, the ease of conversation coupled with the professionalism of Kiersten is the reason I continue to come back to Pia time and time again. Looking forward to my next appointment!

I had a wonderful experience at Pia! It was my first time experiencing waxing and Kiersten was so patient, kind and explanatory about everything. She made me feel at ease while also being informative. From stepping in the door where I was promptly greeted and offered water, to the cleanliness of Pia, to the warm professionalism of Kiersten, it couldn’t have been a better experience! I was a little early for my appointment and was warmly greeted by the young lady at the front desk. She made me feel very comfortable and offered me a beverage. My waxing went well. Anna listened to how I wanted my eyebrows to be shaped and took her time to make sure I liked them. For my underarm wax she was careful not to over pull on my skin when removing the wax. I enjoyed my experience but may use a different tech for my eyebrows. I think Anna might have been a little nervous however she is a good tech. After my waxing the young lady at the front desk took great care of me and also explained some of your other services. I will be coming back next week for a facial. Thank you for the great experience. I think I may have just found my favorite beauty spot!

My initial visit to Pia Esthetics Westchase was for a brow wax and a consultation for eyelash extensions. I was extremely impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the front desk ladies, Gina and Erica. They immediately made me feel welcomed and relaxed. My visit was with Anna and she was absolutely AMAZING! She is a compassionate, soft spoken, angel from above who perfectly shaped my brows and who I confided in to take the leap of faith and try eyelash extensions on my second visit. It has almost been a week since my second visit with Anna and I have been complimented on my lashes numerous times, my hair dresser in South Tampa was so impressed that she is going to recommend to her clients that have extensions to visit Pia based on how natural my lashes looked. Anna made me feel and look like a STAR! I cannot say enough about my two visits with Anna and I am typically not someone who is easily won over either. She is meticulous with her work and takes pride in what she does and it shows on her clients… guaranteed! I feel so blessed to have found Anna and Pia Esthetics for all my aesthetic needs and highly recommend them to anyone who is or might be searching for an esthetician. I went here yesterday to get eyelash extensions. They look fantastic! Well worth the money. The place is very nice. Clean, smells great and comfortable. Spotless bathroom as well (that’s important to me). The place had a wonderful elegant spa feel.
The girl that provided my service was great. Very professional and precise with doing the extensions (totally forgot her name). I would recommend this place to others and will be returning to them in the future for my spa needs.

Let’s get this straight– I am NOT that high maintenance girl who gets her bits n’ pieces waxed, coifed or tinted. That being said, Pia provides so many services that I might consider here. Used my free eyebrow shaping coupon and was so scared because I don’t like anyone touching my natural looking eyebrows. Luckily I got a consultation first and was able to talk it all out. The frangrances, and comfortable layout really helped. I kinda enjoyed it. I may never do it again, but after seeing how friendly the staff was, and how nice the digs were, I will certainly be buying gift certificates for all those girly girls I do know and love.

I have gotten so used to going to «fast-​food style» nail salons, that pampering myself at Pia’s was an even better experience than I had anticipated.
Arrangements for a pedicure and shellac nails were easily made by calling their phone number. I requested Anna, who I had met once before at a Unilocal event. Anna is a friendly, happy woman from Burma, who works at this location 3 times a week, and she could not love her job any more. I think my experience was so super because of Anna’s personality — and her attention to detail.
If you love those places where they have as many massage chairs as possible piled up close together, with the television blaring, and women talking loudly on their cell phones while the workers get your pedicure finished as fast as possible, then Pia’s is NOT the place for you.
If you want to relax, listen to music, drink sparkling water, chat with your technician, lay all the way reclined in a lounge chair while you are pampered, then Pia’s IS the place for you. I can honestly say that I had forgotten how relaxing a pedicure can be. The cost for this luxury is maybe ten to fifteen dollars more per service than the cookie cutter salons, but totally worth it.
Anna was quick, thorough, and efficient, and even managed to squeeze me in for an eyebrow wax before her next appointment. Her days fill up quickly, so make certain you call for her in advance. Days later, my toe nails, finger nails, and eyebrows still look perfect.
Great experience, can’t wait to go back!

Anna, and Libbey do such wonderful pedicures, spray tans, lash extensions and waxes! Feel pampered and comfortable when I’m there. Spa is clean, friendly and affordable. I’ve never had a facial but confident it will be perfect when I do.

I had my first experience at Pia in Westchase on Sat 12÷20÷14. The team was extremely pleasant and accomodating, however it was the most disappointing figi mani/​chocolate pedi ($ 100) that I have ever had. The young lady I was scheduled with must have just finished school and did not have much experience, if at all. She did not know how to cut cuticles or nails, file properly, polish was atroshush and would keep saying, «it’s just hard to get to your cuticle, nail, etc» when I had to continuously point out areas she had missed. I truly believe that everyone needs to be given a chance and has to start somewhere, but not at a salon such as Pia where I spent $ 120. I was in tears when I got in my car after receiving such a horrible end result. and not wanting to hurt the young lady’s feelings.
I highly doubt I would return to Pia and simply just return to my previous salon. I would find it difficult to trust a company that would employ someone with no experience in their scale of salons. Unacceptable.

I’m not exactly a day spa, waxing, eyebrow threading, manicure, and spray tan kinda guy, but I can certainly appreciate a fantastic massage from a very talented and professional masseuse, and that’s what brought me to Pia’s in Westchase.
You’ll find Pia’s in the small strip of stores next to the Starbucks, along Montague Street. If you’re traveling along Linebaugh Avenue, and spot the light at Montague, just turn down into Westchase Village, and Pia’s will be on your right. You may be lucky enough to find parking on the street in front of the spa, but if not, turn right into the alley which opens up into a good-​sized free parking lot.
The lobby of the spa is very calming with soft music, aromatherapy, and very pleasant people to check you in. They have a number of different products on display in the lobby so that you can recreate the spa experience at home.
At the appointed time, my Unilocal friend, and incredibly fantastic masseuse, Dianna B., came out, gave me a hug, and walked me back to her therapy room. Her area was decorated in a soothing way with soft lighting, aromatherapy, and the gentle sound of chirping crickets with new age music. We talked about my car accident, and the recurring pain in my neck and shoulders. Dianna studied my posture and did a bit of poking to confirm that I was wound up tighter than a spring, and then set to work.
«Off to the table, face down, and no whimpering!!!,» she said. Well no, actually it was more like «Let’s break up some of these knots so that you’re not in so much pain.»
This lady is excellent! She took me through lots of muscle stretching and trunk twists before slowly and methodically breaking down the pockets of stress and cramped up muscles. The time passed quickly as we were chatting and laughing, in between my sighs of pleasure as I could finally twist my head from side to side. I really appreciate a trained professional who knows the right amount of pressure to use, and how much digging the client can handle. Dianna seemed to know when I was in my happy place, and she worked out all of my knots without causing me any discomfort.
Despite our joking about «Baby, baby make it hurt so good», she really did a fantastic job. I was able to bend and twist and stretch with ease after my massage, and I have slept like a rock the last few nights, waking refreshed and ready to tackle the world.
Do yourself a favor… find out when Dianna is working, and schedule a massage with her. OK, and get your nails, toesies, and eyebrows done too!

Received a gift certificate for my birthday for a chocolate cake mani/​pedi. I was a little skeptical that they’d spend the full time providing the services (it was close to 2 hours total) and that everything would be clean and safe due to bad experiences at other places. But I was pleasantly surprised! I sat back and listened to an audio book while the nail tech did her thing, it was a really relaxing atmosphere. Really nicely decorated and very clean. I was offered something to drink the moment I walked in, and was offered dark chocolate and drinks again while getting my pedicure. The mani/​pedi area is off to the side and only 3 people could be in there getting a service done at the same time. I was the only one in there until the last 30 minutes. Pretty different from getting your nails done in a loud, crowded salon. Also, as the name of the service implies, everything was chocolate scented. There was a heavenly chocolate scrub that they used on my hands and feet, which I would have bought in a heartbeat but they don’t sell it.
The only bad thing, which was unrelated to my service so it’s not a factor in my rating, was that I could overhear someone giving advice to a customer about skincare products after she’d had a facial done and it sounded like she truly had no idea what she was talking about. I’m obviously not a professional but I’ve spent a great deal of time researching skincare and know b.s. when I hear it… she was throwing around «toxins» and «proteins» and talking in circles to get this lady to think she needed a few different products. I definitely won’t even go in for a facial, but will definitely treat myself to another mani/​pedi in the future.

Well I finally got a couples massage. Check that one of the life list.
Fellow Unilocaler Dianna B got me hooked with a couple of 5 minutes previews at past events. One time my neck was particularly sore after sleeping weird… enter Dianna. She walked right up to me, touched the exact part of my neck that hurt and said I looked like I was in pain. I didn’t think I was showing it, but apparently her brain works on a different level than mine.
I also received a sample from Don at our Unilocal event back in December. I knew we would be in REALLY good hands (literally) with this duo.
This was kind of a delayed V-​Day gift to the girlfriend, and one that was desperately needed for both of us. It really hit the spot too. Just walking into Pia’s, it smells like relaxation. I was practically meditating during my full body experience. Even included a few minutes of work on my feet, which was a first for me.
I feel whole.
