To suggest this place is hidden would be an understatement. I actually argued with friends for at least five minutes that it could not be where they said it was despite one of them just coming from there with smoothies in hand. Even as I pulled into the main entrance to Target near the TGIFriday’s, I was skeptical. Then I saw a little sign. And then another. And then one more. There was Planet Smoothie, tucked into the far west side of the plaza and nobody in the store early afternoon except me and the nice female employee behind the counter. Considering Mark H. reviewed this spot almost five years ago, they must be doing something right with the Alonzo HS crowd or they wouldn’t still be in this spot. My motivation to come here was not only to prove it existed, but because one of my friends loved her smoothie so much… that she spilled it down her chest trying to enjoy the last few drops. I’m aware of «sticky boobs,» but this was a whole new reference to those things you women wear to avoid showing straps. While I have always felt smoothies at places like this are about $ 1-$ 2 too expensive, I get that they probably need to charge that because of their margins. It is also why I only visit smoothie places every so often, because I’d rather have an actual lunch for the same price unless I’m not really that hungry. For this day, the Frozen Goat was just dandy. It had no grams of fat, no ingredients that I did not want and I thought the name was funny and memorable. Besides, it had a coffee flavor and I actually like coffee flavor while not really liking traditional hot or iced coffee. Since they like odd names to market these concoctions, perhaps they should change the name of the one that my friend Tara had and spilled down her shirt to Sticky Boobs… or is that inappropriate for the Alonzo HS kids?

I have been coming to this location because it is close by but ever time I get the same girl who is so rude! She constantly has an attitude and the worst customer service ive ever experienced. The latest experience was thursday 4⁄14 and she was there and made my smoothie wrong. I had to go back and ask to remake. Thankfully there was another girl in there named Sarah that was more than willing to help. I love planet smoothie but hopefully management can implement better training and focus on on customer service.

Smoothies were good but the service left A LOT to be desired. I came in with my two boys. Young lady behind the counter did not acknowledge us. It was our first time so we had questions. It seemed like we had interrupted her life as she was curt, did not make eye contact with us and did not lift her voice very much to be heard. Hope management is reading this. If she’s going through a rough time she needs help. If this is her on a normal day, she needs a new job. I for one will not be going back. Shame I can’t give a zero for a review.

I am a super smoothie fan, whether I make it at home or I grab one on the go. I happened on Planet Smoothie & had a posative experience. All ingredients were fresh, so you knew you were defiantly drinking something good for you. The staff was friendly & knowledgeable. I had a good experience & will defiantly return. What’s a girl to do? A smoothie for lunch or a pick me up, is hard to beat!

Stopped in for a quick smoothie and some frozen yogurt. The smoothie was good said the lil one and my chocolate frozen yogurt was delicious. Their prices are not bad and their service is great. The young lady was very nice and she was very helpful to my son, who had just had a dental appointment. I just wanted ice cream and it scratched an itch I didn’t know was even there. The yogurt was so creamy and if I could stir up the energy I would go right back now. The toppings were fresh and covered. Which is a good thing cuz don’t nobody want sneezed on M&Ms, nuts or cherries. The place is clean and you can tell they pride themselves on taking care of it. I give them 4 stars based on their food quality and quality service but their prices are a bit expensive. I spent $ 9 on a Light sized smoothie and a yogurt with only 2 toppings.

Tucked away around the corner from PetSmart, not visible from Hillsborough and definitely not where Google Maps says it is. Smoothie was OK and girl was very kind. I’d return but I don’t think their smoothies are anything out of the norm.

I’m a huge fan of smoothies, and they make some delicious ones. It also is a little less expensive than most of the competition! At this particular location, service is fast and friendly, and the place is always extremely clean! Can’t go wrong here!

Wait. There’s a place that can make me a mean green on the run and I can add other stuff to it because I don’t carry an extractor in my trunk like Joe Cross?! Shut. Up! This is a delicious healthy find close to home and can’t wait to try it again. Only catch-it’s priced like a Starbucks.

I love the smoothies but the service is absolute shit. Been twice to this location and I’ll never go back. I’ll drive to the next one before I set foot in this one. The girl that works there has absolutely no customer service what’s so ever. Both times I’ve been there I’ve had to ask her if she’s ready for me bc she’ll never ask to take my order and not one word from her from start to finish. Doesn’t tell me which smoothie is which. Nothing! This is how stores get shut down I feel bad for the owner.

Yeah it’s ok, again it’s a chain, and they are NOT doing anything special here. Service depends on which person is working behind the counter. If I owned this place I would dress it up, clean it up, get some better lighting, and talk about how important personality is to repeat business with the people at the counter.

Remember Tampa Bay Mall in the late 80s? When I was a kid, this was the place to be! We could buy the newest records, chill with our friends, and simultaneously annoy the hell of random girls. Ahh, those were the days. Well, one of the things that was a must was heading to the Food Court to waste your allowance money on food EVENTHOUGH we had a damn fridge full of food at home that our parents busted their asses to provide for us. But I digress… It was during this period of my life that I discovered the SMOOTHIE. When the smoothie joint popped up in the mall, it looked very appetizing with it’s unusually clean appearance and fresh fruits all over the counters. Everyone was ordering what looked like milkshakes, and hey I was a chubby little, ice-cream-loving kid, so I wanted to give it a try. And so I did. It was the worst thing I’d ever eaten and I vowed to never eat another smoothie. But when the Smoothie Kind opened up years later across from Plant High school, I gave it another try; and I liked it – ALOT. So much so that I tried smoothies at damn near every place that sold them. None of them, however, were comparable to Smoothie King. Enter Planet Smoothie. In 2009, the wifey and I began doing our grocery shopping at Super Target on Hillsborough Avenue. We got into the terrible habit of spending mad coin on Starfux every Saturday morning since it’s ever-so-conveniently located INSIDE the Target. Well, one day, we decided to give the coffee a break and thought we’d give Planet Smoothie a whirl, and I’m glad we did. Their smoothies are unrealistically good. Between the fam and myself, we’ve pretty much tried all the flavors and haven’t found one we wouldn’t try again. I don’t think we realized how good they were until we cheated on Planet Smoothie one day and went to Smoothie King(it was a location issue. we weren’t near the Planet Smoothie when we developed a craving). We couldn’t believe how nasty it was. We couldn’t even finish them. As for the staff, everyone there has been nothing less than cordial. Good staff, good smoothies = 4.5÷5.
