History

Established in 2007.

Located in Tampa, Florida, Tailored Pet Sitting is licensed, insured and bonded. All of our associates are fully trained, are animal lovers and pet owners themselves, have undergone a comprehensive background check and are fully educated in the American Red Cross «Pet First Aid» for your peace of mind. We are also members of NAAPS

Our goal is to provide the highest quality «tailored» service for our two and four legged customers; «we are your pet’s best friend when you are away».

Business Owner

Founded by Veronica Simonetto, a pet owner herself and a former Boxer breeder, she started working as a pet sitter as a part time job and soon found that her clients were all diverse and each one had different needs that she could fulfill and that is how Tailored Pet Sitting was born.

In April 2013 Amber Liptak, long time sitter for Veronica, purchased the company. She always said if she won the lottery she’d open her own boarding/​pet sitting facility, who knew she’d be able to have her dream job without the lucky of the lottery!

Tailored Pets WAS awesome! They were not cheap but Veronica would go the extra mile (plus some) to take care of her customers. The locations were convenient. Veronica sold the business and moved away… the new owner ran the business into the ground, literally. They changed the name to Nany McFlea or some non-​sense like that. Closed the location I used (the one closer to Westchase). I hear she moved to a very run down area near Ybor. I miss Veronica! It’s been 2 years and i still haven’t found anyone to replace her! Obviously I will not use the new owner dba Nany McFlea.

Tailored Pet Sitting is wonderful. I have used them a couple times so far to drop in on my kittens, and they have been very good about sending me texts and emails updating me on their progress as well as keeping written notes that I can read when I get home. They try to keep the same person visiting the house for the whole time for continuity. My kittens probably barely noticed that we were gone because they became so accustomed to snuggling with Veronica!
I feel very safe knowing that they have my keys and can drop by and take care of my little monsters with a little notice.

Tailored Pet Sitting is amazing! I have two young cats and I was going away on a week-​long cruise over Christmas and I didn’t want to have to burden any of my friends by asking them to watch my cats, so my supervisor recommended this place to me. I had been looking into boarding my cats, but I am a poor graduate student and the boarding places were all pretty pricey. Plus, I also didn’t want to have to have my cats adjust to living in a new place and not be able to run around and play all day.
I was pretty anxious about having a stranger come into my house, but after speaking to and meeting with Veronica, my worries were assuaged. She was very nice and reassuring. Since I was going on a cruise without any phone access and limited Internet, I was also worried that something would happen to my cats and I wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. Veronica was great and was very flexible in when she was able to come to my house and also emailed me updates with pictures, which really allayed my anxieties. I haven’t ever hired a pet sitter before, so I’m not sure how the prices compare but it was about $ 20/​visit for both cats, which I found to be extremely reasonable, especially when compared with the prices for boarding. Plus there was a free consultation visit!
Since my cruise, I went on a sort of impromptu out of town trip and needed someone to look after my cats and Veronica was very happy to do so with only about two days’ notice! I’m very, very pleased with my experiences with Tailored Pet Sitting and highly recommend them!

We hired Tailored Pet Sitting to watch our two cats while we were out of the state for our destination wedding for 10 days. We don’t know too many people in Tampa, and weren’t sure about hiring a complete stranger to come into our home and care for our pets, but because we would be gone for so long, we weren’t left with a lot of options. I am SO glad I took the chance and hired them!
Veronica came to our apartment prior to our trip, and met with us and the cats. She seemed very nice and I immediately felt at ease with the situation. Once we had left, she sent us a text message after every visit, reassuring us that all was well at home. It really couldn’t have worked out better… I had so much other stress involved with a wedding, that it was nice not to have to worry about what was going on at home. We will definitely use their services in the future.
Seriously, if you are looking around for a pet sitting service, please consider Tailored Pet Sitting. I know how risky it seems having someone you don’t know enter your home and look after your beloved pet, but believe me, they will gain your trust, and you will not be sorry! These guys are great! We have three birds and a dog — we have Tailored Pet Sitting for daily dog walks and they watch all of our pets when we go away on trips. We feel very secure with them and they go a long way to provide professional service with no worries about your pets when you are gone. Would highly recommend them! Best pet sitting service we have ever had.
